The way her character is written is mostly ok~
I was playing in JP, and she was extremely charming.
I switched to the EN VAs because I just love the extra oomph that the EN voice actor for another *spoiler* gives. But thats when I encountered how stiff the voice acting was for the EN wuk, So many subtle moments just steam rolled through. Obviously not every voice actor is good, but it was REALLY bad in EW patches. It was a little less bad by DT, but still ruined a lot of emotional moments. I do think they were coached for DT, but not coached for EW patches. Kinda wish they would go back to EW patches and touch them up a bit, and all the stiff lines.
I also think all characters can stand out a bit more if they interacted a bit more, rather than just be used to state how great wuk is, or how much potential they see in wuk. in turn it would bring her character out better.
lastly another character i cant say, due to spoilers, i feel was also a bit rushed in the writting. i liked the events that took place, but feel the scene wasnt fleshed out enough.
over all, everything is a good idea, but execution feels a bit slopp-eh
Road trip with friends? great idea, but instead it mostly feels like "sit back and watch this character who lacks any charm"
bunch of puzzle based goals? sounds great, but instead, sit back and watch them unfold w/o any input.
your character is needed! actually not really, we'll sit back and not do anything. idm being a side character, but actually require our characters help, so this suppossed "power of friendship" actually is shown, and not just told in passing.
I like this more than 2.0 and stormblood(base), but its still not HW, ShB, or EW
