Was running MSR for the Poetics (stupid relic). My PLD recently hit 60 (three more jobs to go, whoo!) so I'm working on my next 50->60 job which is DRK. I warned the party that I hadn't played DRK since HW launched so I was a bit rusty, but I'd try my best.
Apparently the healers interrupted this as, "I have no idea what the f*ck I am doing. I have never run a dungeon in my life until this very moment." because they proceeded to pull every single trash pack and boss despite the fact that the other tank and I were more than willing to do a speed run.
Someone tried to vote kick them too, but I guess only 2/7 didn't like them because it was rejected.

Was tanking The Aery a few days ago to finish up the second step of the relic and got a SCH and it was straight up fairy only, no heals, final destination. Normally I'm happy to have a DPSing healer but they took it to the extreme and there were numerous occasions I dropped down to about 300 HP. Miraculously I never died once, Estinien almost did at the end though. Probably doesn't sound much like a horror story, but it certainly had me panicked at the time.

Couple of highlights from the relic ventures encountered this weekend, played Ninja:
Sohm Al, bard lbs first boss so he can kill wasps, because yes he was actively trying killing wasps. Vault, smn lbs first boss at 3%, then second boss at like 15%.
A Tank running Aery who is actually lvl 57, still using his i110 Novus. Low Lvl roulette for tomes, a thm using lvl 1-8 gear in Tam-Tara despite having plenty of 50s and a 60. Guy had like 280 HP while I, as a healer, had over 450...
On an awesome note, I queued for Sastasha HM and our tank couldn't load in. The gate finally went down after nearly 10 minutes, but he still wasn't in instance. Once the time accrued, we were able to kick, but no replacement in sight.So we, a ninja, a dragoon, and an astrologian, stole away into the salty night and completed from the beginning to the first boss. We didn't one shot that scorpion, but with some slight changes, the dragoon landed the killing blow while our bodies cheered on from the ground.
Our replacement came as the boss was dying lol. Was a great run!
And the Alex runs have been going well! -

Qued main scenario got castrum...we killed first boss and went up the stairs, it was at this point the BLM decided we were not moving fast enough for them and pulled the mobs from the light too the point where we have to blow up the things with the drops from the vanguards, and they died and blamed us for it saying we were not moving fast enough and started going off about how we should of kicked them (cannot kick in combat who would of thought...lol) they were kicked shortly after.

Ran into some very special people doing labyrinth of the ancients and syrcus tower this weekend. Just about everybody died at skeleton dragon but was like ok, we stopped dps and started to res people. I saw a bunch of the other healers up and full hp now was like ok...turns out there were 6 of us in the lockout, the other people had used return to start -_- why would you do that... Moving forward to ST and my whole party save one person and myself managed to not get on the floaty pads at the last boss not once but twice...what a sad group.

So I queued up on roulette and got The Vault. Now usually, I'm happy to do this dungeon as I find it fun (aside from the horrible cutscene ending T_T). I went in with my lvl 60 tank because I need the tomes. We enter and my first sign probably should of been that the healer then proceeded to pull the first mob. I was like, wtf?! But I simply thought that maybe they were new and I just waited until the mob got to us and pulled the hate off the healer. NBD. However, fighting the first mob, I noticed the healer let my hp get down to about 1/3. This honestly worried me a bit, as it was only, what? 4 enemies? So I decided I was going to do small pulls, as I didn't trust the healer at this point. Next few pulls went fine.
We get upstairs and now, the NIN in the group decides to run ahead of me and pull the mob. *Sigh*. Ok, once again, maybe he's new and doesn't realize how far the mobs aggro in here. I once again pull the hate once the mob closes in. We're close to the ser grinnaux fight and it's just the last 2 mob pulls before getting to him. Once again, due to the healer not seeming to be on top of things (last boss fight, the NIN died and I had to use clemency to keep myself up as well as help keep the other DPS up), I decided to not deal with the headache that was a mob and a bunch of AoE's from those horse guys. As I pull the mob, I notice the NIN seemed to of run off. And low and behold, he did exactly what I was hoping to avoid.... He pulled the other 2 back to us and so I had to dodge around like a madman to avoid all the AoE's shooting everywhere as well as stun like crazy (which means I'm not generating hate on the huge mob) because they do rampant targeting for their AoE. After we kill the mob, I simply asked that the NIN not pull for me. We enter the fight, kill Grinnaux, then after that fight, the NIN decided to respond to me saying "You can pull more than 1 mob at a time".
Now I didn't want to go around throwing people under the bus here, so I didn't blame the healer for my smaller pulls. But at this point, I wasn't too happy, so I responded with "If you wish to pull more and tank them, then be my guest". To my surprise, the healer chimed in at this point against me saying, "Not everyone reruns dungeons with their lvl 60". I thought maybe that was a knock on the NIN. Then I look and see everyone BUT me is NOT level sync'd (all 3 were level 57). Seriously?! That was a knock on me?!
I was pretty tempted to just leave at this point, but I still wanted my damn tomes. So I just decided to quickly finish things and just get out. To no surprise, I got no player coms on that run. The other DPS was quiet the entire run though and I had no issues with him at least. It just boggled my mind. -

Aery, was on my ninja with my friend as tank.
Last boss I get trapped in the thing the boss does, which your party members have to kill to free you. It barely inches in health with one DoT on it before I die to it. There is a summoner too, but no rezzes head my way. Fight progresses slower and now summoner gets trapped by same skill and predictably dies. The healer rezzes the summoner who proceeds to swiftcast garuda rather than pay any attention to a still very dead ninja.
Wipe happens, we go to restart and my friend tells me that they tried to dismiss me.
I don't even know o-o
Bonus story: I once used another healer in titan ex farm as a decoy because he would get trapped in a goal and freed straight into landslide and to his doom by overzealous dps every time. I was free to heal however and revealed my plan afterwards ~ -

Small rant here, then I'll be on my merry way until the next time I come to rant.
This was actually a FATE party, not a duty. We ended up going into a superboss FATE, one of those thirty-minute ones, with barely more than one full group (including chocobos). We spend almost a half hour fighting this boss, the tank's macroing some stupid line, like "I release the power inside me!" or some shit like that every f'cking time he uses Berserk, following with some shit about "(Please cleanse me)". Every minute or so, some monster spawns which has nothing to do with the FATE, it attacks the damn tank of all people, and aggros me every time I heal the tank, and for about twenty-five of those minutes I had to fight the damn things off while keeping the tank alive, until finally, FINALLY, a DPS joins and actually tears the adds off me every time they scurry on over and start humping my face.
I'm already irritated at this point, when we finally kill the boss with five minutes left. I'm at 2/3 crystals, ONE LAST CRYSTAL before the first step is finally over. The first thing I see is in party chat is someone cheering about getting their final crystal and finishing the first step. I look at the chat log and find I got no crystal.
I had to get ready for work at that point, but man, that was just irritating as hell.
EDIT: I'd thought about abandoning that FATE party to look for some other one, but I think we were the only FATE party going at that time. If I'd have left, the party probably would have wiped, starting with the tank, WHO HARDLY EVER BOTHERED TO AVOID THE BOSS' AOE. -

Huge VENT please excuse my grammar.
I joined through Duty Finder, for a daily roulette to get eso and law, spawned to Neverreap with three other people. I was the tank in the party, I done my job right and everything. Then one of the dps that happens to be a SMN decided to pull before i had a chance to start it off to shield lob. That is my biggest peeve when it comes to anyone trying to pull before I was able to start one.
And so on going through two bosses and trash adds to clear away. We reach the final boss, I began to make my way by the other side. The other three stood by the lake after you take out the last set of adds. I get this message "Bye." Out of no where I get booted for no apparent reason. I tried to get back with in progress till i happen to restart the whole dungeon all over again... I was so furious and trolled...it ruined my night.. And it was around 2am est my time when I wanted it to be my last until i am forced to start over before the reset for tuesday... -

Standing there spamming Flash expecting it to have effect on caster mobs well out of range. Further befuddling me at how he outright ignored recommendations on it's proper use by party members. I didn't last much longer than a few pulls on my Whm.

Queued into a Haukke HM with a friend tonight for level 50 roulette, starting around 40-45 minutes before maintenance. We got the bonus message (yay poetics) and found out both other people were new to the dungeon. Okay, no problem.
Or so we thought. Right away, it was pretty evident that the Paladin wasn't using any AoE hate at all. I was pulling things off him with Bane and the two DPS were tanking stuff too. We asked him a couple times to do more AoE abilities, but it didn't seem like he was really listening. Alright, whatever, I can deal with having to heal people as long as everyone isn't standing in the stupid. Little did I realize that the tank was going to get real inventive about that real soon.
We get to the hallway where the void lamps do continuous AoE damage to the entire party. The Paladin grabs two doors' worth of stuff and tries to tank it in the middle of the hallway. New to the dungeon sure, but tanking a pack of mobs in an area where everyone's taking steady unavoidable damage is just beyond me. I dropped a group heal and kept running, basically trying to drag him to the closest safe spot. Thinking on it, I probably should've dragged him back instead of forward. It would've been fine except for the fact that he didn't bother to take any of the mobs off me when he got there.
I died horribly, followed by everyone else. We collectively sigh, respawn and go back, and the Paladin promptly runs off without any buffs at all. I don't even. Anyway, we get the mobs down and start down the second hallway with void lamps. Halfway down the hallway the Paladin literally stops in his tracks. After a few seconds he says 'brb afk' leaving himself sitting in the middle of the hallway taking damage. Oooookay... the rest of us open the door and kill the mobs, then go wait at the door of the boss room. At this point we have about 20 minutes left until maintenance and we're only at the second boss. After about five minutes the Paladin being AFK, we end up kicking him and getting someone from our FC to join.
She'd never done the dungeon synced, but she at least knows how2aoethreat. >.< -

mine- Yesterday doing Sohm Al for relic. Fighting 2nd boss, I decided to limit break him. Except I used it on some blue ooze instead. So after a split second of shock at what I just did, I then try to hope no one saw me do it. Two seconds later- paladin:"o.o"
shit.
Others- Pharos sirius hard, healer afks during first boss, so we all die. I get vote kicked, and right before loading screen out paladin says "why you d/cing bro?" I wasn't disconnecting, I just assume that guy was snorting paint chips or something to confuse me, the MONK, for a healer. -

Once I saw a BLM using a really nice Umbra Ice Rotation... it was like, Brizzard III, Brizzard I, Brizzard I, Brizzard I, Brizzard I, Brizzard III, Thunder II, Brizzard III, Brizzard I, Brizzard I.... I think he was thinking that Brizzard is just like Fire or something like that to spam almost the same rotation people used on 2.X but changing fire to Brizzard, the only time I saw him using a Fire III a little hope appeared in my heart but he cancelled and restarted his Umbral Rotation

Running Aery for my bard relic some days ago, I get paired with a warrior obviously running for their relic as well (they wielded the Animated Parashu), a non-levelsynched astrologian and a new bard. Things are going fine until the second boss - nobody explained the strat for the other bard (warrior immediately pulled, so no time and I'm not a fan of writing during a boss fight ^^'), but I thought that it's common sense to kill upcoming adds. Nope, the newbie doesn't touch the bomb at any point of the fight. It starts casting self-destruct, I mark it with a 1 but can't prevent it from exploding, getting everyone of us hit with 4 or 5 toxic stacks and eventually wiping us. I take the time to explain everything, and the second try is all fine.
We reach Nidhogg and while the bard watches the cutscene, I explain the fight including the Sable Price and the add phase. We start, I get bound but nobody attacks the Sable Price. I mark it, the bard reacts but can't kill it fast enough so I die. I get rezzed and five seconds later the add phase begins. So we have this slowly reacting bard, an astrologian not using anything else than Aspected Helios (so, no deeps), another slow tank and myself, a bard with weakness debuff. DPS is too low so we wipe. I tell my group that we need to be a bit faster, then we start the second try. This time the other bard gets bound and I manage to free them fast enough, so no weakness during add phase. We meet the DPS check, everyone is standing close to Estinien who casts his shield... and then the warrior runs to the middle of the arena, ready to pick up Nidhogg again, the bard follows him. Both die from the big attack, the astrologian manages to rezz the warrior before Nidhogg kills them, second wipe approaches. The astrologian ragequits while the warrior says, "why did we wipe now? We killed all the adds!"

Guy, I said "kill the adds, then run to Estinien". And seriously, you're here to do your freakin' relic quest, how on earth did you ever clear the dungeon without knowing how to survive the big attack! At this point I think of quitting too, but I want to finish my relic nghnghngh ._.' So I ask a friend to join on her scholar, then I shout at the warrior to F***ING STAY WITH ESTINIEN before we finally kill Nidhogg without more problems. -

The horror run was in Neverreap, when it was out for 2 weeks if I remember. The whole run went kinda smoothly, I just noticed that one of the DPS was not really moving out of AOE. Still we make it till last boss. Where after the first push back one of the DPS falls of. The tank and other DPS take quite some damage due the Tornado's and adds (they where not killing the water add). I myself quite a lot of damage because I need to stand still to cast heals and place my DoTs. During the fight the tank started being really rude, saying I was the worst healer ever because I didn't res the other DPS, because I took a lot of damage and because I didn't DPS enough. I wanted to ask my fairies to grab him so I could slap him with my book.
Second story takes place in the early days of WOD, is suppose everyone remembers the first boss in the early days. :p It was hell, but I loved the fight. During one of the runs, we had quite a lot of people failing and I saw people going down, get up and go down again, this till the boss reaches 2 percent of health and then when he reaches 1 percent, everyone was dead, except of me. My Swiftcast was on cooldown, so instead of ressing someone, I just spammed Ruin II killing the boss. I was a Lala at that moment, I felt so good :p got 7 commendations in the end and everyone was laughing. We had a good run afterwards. -

But I remember on one of those, the tank let the healer die to the adds for "The Eyes Have It" fate in Coerthas (granted, none of the DPS did anything either and the healer decided to stand in a very obviously bad spot). So after he took a bit too much damage and noticed the only healer around was down, he ran for it.... There were 6 other people there (sadly, we only had the 1 healer, who was down) and the tank frickin ran for it... he dragged the boss out and RESET the fate. The Boss was at about 25% left. Something seems off from the start, as both whms cast medica 2, which I have to click off before pull or titan would beeline it to them. Other warrior wasn't in tank stance earlier, but went into it while I was tanking already. So now I am fighting rapidly generating aggro from med 2 spam and the off tank, healers get taken out by plumes through bad stacking and we restart.
I ask the other tank to stay out of defiance which they do. I ask the healers to tone it down on medica 2 and they dont say anything, instead one of them proceeds to cast it and recast it even before its done ticking constantly throughout the fight. They die to a plume again, which resets aggro and rest of the fight finishes as normal.
As I look at them, I see that healer holding a 200 relic o-o -

I must start with saying that I love new players, but I still found today's adventure to be highly amusing, stressing and annoying at the same time.
Leveling roulette, I usually queue as a WHM.
Today, the roulette decided to let me revisit the very first dungeon, Sastasha.
I am surrounded by green leaves, and I get the new player message. No big deal, it will be a fun run...
It seems that I got paired with 3 aspiring tanks, too bad only one of them was on the right job.
The pugilist pull, while the tank tries to get aggro (I think), archer runs around pulling even more and kiting.
Of course in the end I was the one tanking and healing because 1 cure on a party member would aggro the entire pack.
I pulled through it, put numbers on enemies that as usual were ignored.
After the first mini boss, pugilist runs to pull the next pack. I was behind with the group and the pugilist died because he was alone and respawned. Tank grabs those enemies while the archer grabs more.
*sigh*
Heal and tank again.
When this set is dead, there is a sign of life in the chat.
"Pugilist: are you ok?"
"Me: who?"
"Pugilist: you"
"Me: yes, I am"
"Pugilist: :)"
I wonder if it was prompted by his/her death...
Rest of the run goes smoothly, last boss I basically had to kite the adds but they killed it.
During the run, at some point I asked to use flash, pugilist used it. -

I didn't have time to finish dailies last night, so I did 50 roulette this morning on sch. Got Tam Tara hm with pld/blm/brd, so I figured it would be a quick run.
Trash pulls were fine, so more comfort on my part. Tank pulled the first boss and the dps were hanging out at range. I called out to stack.. Only blm came to me. Fearing the worst, I followed up by saying not to kill adds. They come, and the brd runs circles around the boss while aoeing the adds down (blm helped).
Second try, we cleared. Got to the second boss.. Tank dced on pull, and the dps ignored my calls to pull it to the side. We wiped when the npc in the center died, but luckily the tank reconnected. Cleared the second try.
Luckily no wipes on the final boss, but I had to tell the brd to stop standing in the center... -

omg void ark on Sunday night, ugh. My rule on 24 man raids is never do them late at night because they always suck. And late night for some reason starts at 10pm. Anyway I died on every boss because everyone decides to ignore mechanics on every boss but for some reason dps is super high, so we were able to just die once to every boss and then make it to the end. At the end though people are fed up and everyone is arguing with each other and idc for Alliance drama and I just announce we just suck it up and finish so we can never see each other again. We do win final boss after a loooong run and my reward was getting the piece I was missing for my brd. Ugh what a night!

Ifrit tends to take over the agro when you target an enemy but don't attack it yet.
Whenever I am on my healer and I see SMN's using Ifrit, I always advice them to use Garuda instead and my heart breaks whenever I see them not following any advice... -

I use Ifrit pretty much 90% of the time, the rest being Garuda and that is only if the boss is self AOE heavy everything else I stick to my burning mass. xD
