Seems to be about 50 DPS or roughly 4% increase.

I'm getting similar numbers 45 to 50 dps increase.
My tp runs dry around 3:30 mark ; ; slight wait for the second invegorate. Definitely because of the extra ss.
I need advise guys on a2 savage. I run in a team where resources should not be an issue as we run bard+machinist combo. Drg on the gobwalker. And our smn is the aoe dot king.
However, tp is a major issue for me in a2. I'm reluctant to use rook promotion instead of a hyper charged bishop to boost aoe dmg. We are at wave 7. We didn't have much practice (our second practice session)
I may have rook run promotion the whole time during wave 3 and 4 and potentially wave 8 or 9 if needed. Just so that me and the bard can aoe without worrying about tp. He's on foe duty.
Any suggestion is much appreciated.

A lot of the phases are mob based and not timed so you have time to run Rook TP instead of Bishop AOE since your SMN's dots probably aren't running their full duration anyways. The quicker you kill some groups the faster you have to deal with new ones and you have to keep that in mind for how much AOE you put out as well.
You can pad your numbers but it is a resource check too.

prety low crit, but i was over 1200 on the 3rd wildfire. just went till i went dry. non-stance dance.
How are you hitting such high numbers? I'm ilvl 190 and have current BiS gear (minus any Savage gear) and I'm only hitting around 1k. Keeping Hot Shot and Lead Shot up, lining up my cooldowns the best I can. I'm following the same rotations as everyone else, but my Wildfires are only around 6500-7500.
do you have dex pot party food etc
not much else to say otherwise without a video
found this pretty curious. just a one time thing, but pretty interesting how that didn't work out

the auto attack dmg in this instance wasn't added to wildfire, but the split shot dmg after it was
edit: anyway i'm actually slightly curious if stance dancing with the eso wep is worth it on certain things. the base auto dmg is lower slightly.
also, even at 660 sksp i can make it to around 3:50 - 4:00 mark or so, i don't think you should be having tp problems unless you're higher than that somehow w
I hit a 9k Wildfire ( 6-7k average) with a DRG, HQ Black Truffle Risotto, Battle Litany, and non HQ Dracopot on Savage Faust last night/earlier this morning. My lodestone should be all my current gear...with all that being said, I personally think it has to do with luck on getting Crit DoTs on Lead Shot and OGCDs because I was NOT expecting to damn near break 10k at i186
Funny enough I was told that during the raid, but paid it no mind because I got them from some 3.0 maps. I used them because I do actually have HQ versions but was being conservative with them. However, I won't ignore another person dropping a jewel so I will start making some asap...I really appreciate the inspiration.
Yeah, he said he had no Drg or pot. The 1k I hit with 7.3k Wildfire was basic Risotto only. Not sure if he was in a party or not, but considering he went dry on TP, I'm assuming it was a test dummy. I'll do some more tests today as I only did a couple yesterday and was playing with my rotation a bit. I've seen a few different rotations-- some say to pop Wildfire and first Split Shot, some say after Slug Shot. Still seems to be some debate on the beat rotation. I feel comfortable with using it after Split myself.
I'd really like to try Savage myself, but everyone says it needs a static and my job doesn't really allow one as my days off and work time can change.
I think they mean just for a single target Dummy Parse that they can go that long.
--------------------------------------------------
My party comp for A2S - WHM, SCH, DRK, WAR, DRG, MCN, SMN, MNK (in Gobby)
Wave 2 - DOT things, Rapid Fire - Spread Shot (Invigorate @ <500 TP)
Wave 3 - Bishop Hypercharged, DOT all the things, then Spread Shot with Reload. Once I burn through my ammo I toss out the Rook + TP until the next wave
Wave 4 - Bishop - DOT all the things (Gobby last since we debuff it) do a couple Spread Shots and then Promote for MP. Single target to lower any high HP mobs while SMN dots wear down the others.
Wave 6 - MP Turret - Invigorate should be coming back up.
Wave 7 - Hypercharged Turret between all dolls - When hypercharge wears off, Rook + TP (Going to need the TP for AOE on Wave 8)
That's all I have so far. Can only get started into Wave 8 before it goes down hill. (healer pulls aggro, someone dies, just haven't had much practice in that phase yet) I just try not to AOE too much especially when the mobs are already at low health, since I know the SMN/SCH dots will finish off any stragglers, which helps save TP. But in saying that you want to make sure you are making the most of your AOE as well. (buffed with ammo, buffs) But also that you will leave yourself with ammo when you need single target burst and that you arrange it with your other DPS so that they aren't burning all their buffs when you are which weakens the potential on other waves.
That's ridiculous
I'm not sure if it's a network issue on my end or but I think my first Slug Shot is not registering under Wildfire. Even with an HQ Draconian + DRG in my group, I'm hard pressed to reach 8k. I might just have to swap the rotation to Wildfire/Potion instead of Wildfire -> Slug -> Potion
Did Faust NM with a Drg and regular Risotto. No pot. Hit 1150 dps, but my highest Wildfire was still only 6500. No exactly sure what's going on with that. I have my buffs up, Reload, get a Slug Shot, pop Rapid Fire and Wildfire then go to town with Split Shot, Slug Shot, Cleaner Shot (with Dismantle), Split Shot, Cleaner Shot, Quick Reload, Split Shot, Slug Shot, while weaving Gauss around, Head Graze, Ricochet and Blank in between. Not sure what else I can do.
Wave 1 - Pew Pew
Wave 2 - Drop AoE turret on the north pack. Dot the big guy. Throw out 2-3 Spread shots. ST the rest as to not burn TP
Wave 3 - Drop AoE turret on main pack. Refresh Hot Shot and Dot the Hardmind(?) the one that runs in from the south. Pop all the things, Wildfire the Hardmind (The one we don't focus first) and Spreadshot. Using Reload/QR/Reassmbled while AoEing and using Invigorate when sub 500 tp. You shouldn't burn through your tp here because this pack dies rather fast.
Wave 4- Drop AoE in the middle of the pack. Reload comes back up around this time. Hot shot/Dot the walker. Use oGCD's on the walk but AoE even w/ ammo. You don't want to burn the walker too fast so the person in the vehicle can charge.
Wave 5- Drop the TP turret. Hot Shot/Dot both widows (We focus widows first). Do lame damage to the first widow. CD the second one with full Wildfire combo, save Hypercharge.
Wave 6- Drop MP Turret on where the hardforgethisname spawns. Hypercharge. Cycle promotion. Either AoE soldier + Hard or assist in STing the soldiers this depends on your DPS. Get healer MP up and then switch back to rook once you get to the walker > Rook.
Wave 7 - DoT 2x Adds while buffing. Unload WF combo on the first Jagd doll. Single target the other one. I'd recommend rook since you will be getting a bit more deeps from focusing the one with vuln stacks.
Wave 8- Drop AoE turret on pack. Hypercharge. Cycle Promotion. Pop CDs on the off focused Hard??? and AoE. Drop TP Turret once both hardgoblins are almost dead. Restore some TP.
Wave 9- I'm in the walker here... so Idk. At the end I use a fill WF combo after I self-destruct on the highest hp Widow.
We do SCH in the walker until Double Jagd > DRG in walker till final > MCH in walker for the final phase. So our DPS on the 2x Widow is faster than other groups.
http://youtu.be/SXIHJVO2x6c Does anyone see any major mistakes in this video not listed in the description? I can't seem to push for that final ~70 dps I need, and this is the only thread where people seem to be pointing out mistakes. The highest I've parsed with this setup (law chest, prototype everything else left side and same right side mix as Aiurily) is 1076, which makes me feel like I'm missing something.
Try not using Rapid Fire until after you use the first Cleaner Shot because Reloading will eliminate Slug/Clean cast times and popping Rapid Fire with Reload is shooting yourself in the foot.
My Opener: HC > Buffs > Hot Shot > Potion > Lead Shot > Quick Reload > Split > Wildfire* + Reload > Slug > Reassemble + Clean > Rapid Fire + Ricochet > Split + Gauss Round > Slug + Head Graze > Clean + Blank > Drop Gauss Barrel (for an auto attack and to reapply Hot Shot without the cast)
Wildfire* - My reason for delaying this until AFTER the first Split is because of server ticks and to ensure I can squeeze out an extra auto attack with those extra 3-4seconds
highest one so far (in a2s):

Alright I'm at a loss and frustrated besides. I cannot seem to consistently burst in my opener over 6k... this is with eso wep (i189) and following Aiuri's 3.05 opener. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going wrong?
Ive done it in Goblet and Falcon Nest, with choco, with same results... Seriously frustrated over this...
hmm...go ahead and post up your opener minus a potion. I did 3 openers (posted a page ago) since I read your post and I hit 6.4k on the first, 6.3k on the second, and 6.5k on the third. [EDIT]: fourth burst was 6011 and fifth was 6448
I do have my eso shotty but I'm only i186 so I think it's got something to do with your rotation or how you're executing it.
HE->b4b->hc->rs->hot->lead->reload->split->wf->slug->quick->reassemble->clean->rapid->ricochet->split->gauss round->slug->head graze->Split-blank->clean->gauss off->slug
As for clipping, maybe. Though not 100% what that means as I usually only hear clip used with dots.
removed, i'm, stupid
the opener i do is
hawks eye > blood for blod > hypercharge > raging strikes > hotshot > (would normally potion here) > lead shot > reload > split shot > wildfire > slug shot > rapid fire + recons > clean shot > gauss round > split shot > ricochet > slug shot > quick reload > clean shot > head graze + blank > split shot > ( drop gauss) (proc check) > split > (proc check, put on gauss if you proc) > split > (wildfire ticks)
consistent 9ks in a3 now though \o/
While you should probably be closer to 7-8K wildfires you gotta remember these guys are getting 10k in a full group. That means they are getting dragoon piercing, crit buff and possibly Nin buff if they have one . You should probably keep practicing your rotation as your probably clipping as well which slows down your opener.
Odowla, do you use QR to buff your last CS because buffs are dropping off or simply because you feel it is better to increase the potency of the last CS over guaranteeing a extra procced slug? Just trying to determine some of the slight variances between certain openers.
Its because of the buffs.
I personally value the damage from Blank and Headgraze over the damage gained from QR.
If you think about it QR has a flat potency of 20 and at most will net you 40 extra potency. Though that 40 extra potency it nets you already has a 50% chance of being obtained without QR so that gives QR a value of ~40 Potency and 50 tp?
Those still have buffs, they fall off before you get to cast the next split shot iirc
That's what I figured. Originally I had QR paired with GB off after CS and my keybinds for those are... not helpful when combined in the same oGCD. Putting things the way you have it will actually help me both in a total WF potency increase as well as from a carpal tunnel standpoint... so that's good!
Yeah, I give up. I've tried every rotation and the more I practiced, it seemed the worse my damage got. Kept hitting around 6k and eventually dropped down to 5k, which is ridiculous for 190 gear and Eso weapon. Ill try again when I'm not exhausted from work. Plus, I seem to do better when I'm not trying. :/
Worst part is, my overall dps is usually fine and I'm near the top of the charts. Just can't seem to hit those big Wildfire numbers.
My biggest issue before I got the hang of it was getting all my abilities in the rotation off before Wildfire was done. Getting 8.5-9k Wildfires are easy and at times have gotten 9.5k-10k if the crits are heavily in my favor. Draconian HQ potions are expensive as hell though, so only use ones from chest give-a-ways and use X-Potions for now. This is all from getting buffs from the DRG and NIN also.
You should compare how fast it takes you to get your rotation off to someone who is hitting higher Wildfires. Even if crit is not in your favor, you should not be hitting 5k low Wildfires.
record yourself doing opener, look over it and check for GCD clip
then check for any other mistakes
you should really take wildfire numbers with a grain of salt. trick attack/litany/disembowel/dex pot/party buff all add significant increase to wildfire numbers, and food buffs too even. i hit maybe 7300 wildfires avg, +- 500 without all of those
