[suggestion] Radically lower the level requirement for Raise/Resurrect

Why should a rank 50 not suffer any SP penalty when everyone else does? SP penalty is a horrible idea in this game, it's way easier to die than it was in XI. They would have to change so much of the game if SP penalty was added, to make it less easy to die. Making the penalty for dying weak allows content to be harder because it's no big deal if you die multiple times in a fight or have to retry shit. SP penalty would mean AoEs have to be weaker, mobs 10+ ranks above you would have to stop two shot killing you, among other things. No one would risk high staring leves and people would be less willing to help you with anything difficult.

A penalty shouldn't be as harsh as XI's, but not as weak as what we have right now. Though, many people in XI refused to help because they were afraid of loosing their precious XP what I respect. But the ignorable penalty in XIV that doesn't encourage people to think (as much), along with that weird aggro icon... It's just too easy.
I could live with an EXP loss as long as you can't delevel. But that's just me.

Most people doing hard content where you're likely to die are rank 50, I don't see why we should be immune to SP loss if this was implemented. Either everyone gets it and people are allowed to delevel all the way to rank 1 or no one gets it. I'm glad the majority of people are against this.

Ya um people, 38 is not a unattainable rank to get, just rank it up. And having a higher rank raise is pointless unless it does not give weakened. I say they are good where they are at. If anything, reraise should be added around 50, if at all, but there is no reason to lower raise.

No one said that 38 is "unattainable". There's simply absolutely no reason for a large chunk of group leveling up not to have this rather basic function.

Maybe when the bring the level cap up they could lower it but atm it is fair because other classes can use it, it costs no MP to cast and only has a 1 min cooldown which is relatively amazing. All in all I like it where it is personally and I would like to be able to use it on another class like current system. I am willing to take one of the 2 classes to 50 just to get the ability. Look at FFXI, anyone with a whm sub could raise or PLD, RDM and WHM could use it, so the system is currently fair but could use some tweeks to improve upon it.

It isn't broken, you took the time to level that class to get its abilities. Just like someone else said from another post, If I was a boxer my whole life and then I quit and became a doctor I wouldn't forget everything from my life as a boxer, how to take a hit, being able to take a hit and how to fight. I may not be the best doctor at first but I would still know how to fight well. Same concept, if you a healer and you leveled up a healer why should you not be able to use your healer abilities, all of them no matter what class you was (ofcourse, there needs to be a bit more of a nerf of effectiveness but there is another post about affinity that ties into this).

What I am stating is that if you take the time to rank con or thm, just subbing raise is enough if you want to use it low rank. Dieing as no consequences in this game besides being weakened which is probably why it comes later. There is no dire need for it.
