Do I need to tell you how much work it takes for the full effect of Burst again? Because Thundaga can be used without having to burn through all your mana and converting for the same(ish) damage. No one is saying Burst isn't strong, its just not special.

It isn't a job buff, just something more useful than another DD spell which as people have already stated, takes far too much MP and situational prowess to even utilise it's full potential; which is laughable.

Last time I checked Warrior seemed to be the best job in the game. Just because people can stack it to kill a Primal doesn't make it the best.

Actually you were the one initially saying that I think I am a godsend, so I simply agreed with you, and why can't I have an ego, just because you're a 14 yr old with no self-esteem doesn't mean I can't be a little conceited, and you don't even know me, so you shouldn't make assumptions on ones character.. Regardless if you can execute it "damn good", it's damage is still laughable, yet you still provide no numbers or pictures to prove this "immense" damage that you can do. Don't forget Thunder -> Thundara -> Convert -> Quelling Strike -> Excrutiate -> Burst. That's quite a bit of MP and time to make that happen for laughable damage.

There is plenty of people who know your true character and childish ways. Part of me thinks you're being argumentitive for the sake of it, just because of the whole Linkshell Drama surrounding yourself the past week.

But that is besides the point. Burst needs tweaked slightly, either to benefit the party situation, or to output a slightly higher damage without the 20 seconds needed to get into that situation.

When did I say you were a godsend? Reading comprehension is a necessary skill in a discussion. I said stop acting like a godsend. I think you are just like the thousands other blms with a few double melds. No where in anything I have said points to my level of self-esteem in the least, yeah for grasping at cliche straws.

Cool assumptions bro. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Garuda burn party - frankly if they have that much melded crap they should be able to do that, two hour glitch aside. It has everything to do with the fact that three out of seven of the combat classes are situational at best, two of which are largely in part due to how ridiculously overpowered and useful BLM is in comparison to the rest. Even if Burst is somewhat lacking compared to the rest of the classes, it doesn't need a buff when overall balance is laughable at this point. They need to try and lessen the gap between them.

But hey, what do I know? It's not like it's been this way with THM since even before 1.21, and it's been visible to players for months. Feel free to keep discrediting me if it keeps this joke of a request in the limelight. *yawn*

Except BLM initiates the buff, which makes them more useful and negates that. That method seems counterproductive - just buff the close range DD.

yeah they should lower all BLM damage so that burst stands out =P. Seriously though it is underwhelming but maybe they should have given you something that wasn't another damage ability since BLM already puts out a ton of damage.

it would be a way to have burst deal more damage but only if there were people up close taking damage. In other games multiple classes have gotten shock spikes so to have it attacked to a 15 min spell isnt a big deal, they can still give it to red mage or what ever they want later as a casted spell.

This is all I'm asking.
If there is any plans to change Burst to a different ability that is more useful than another damaging spell that isn't needed. There are plenty of routes they could go for a useful fifteen minute ability.

Yes. Some form of Support Trait would be useful. Perhaps we can expect something on the AF Weapon that could do this? Enhance the effect of Burst. Something similar.

i only wrote shock spikes cause it would fit the thunder theme. just any kinda of group buff that could give some sort of buff to close range fighter wold be nice. Anything to encourage close range combat and mixed groups is a good idea to me.

Again with the reading comprehension. I didn't say that was the first attacking statement you made it was just one clear example. To be honest, the only hostile things I said were "Stop acting like a godsend" and "Stop acting like a 14 year old" and those were only after you were defending yourself by putting others down.

If your definition of debating and refuting points is saying, and I'm summarizing, "I'm amazing at what I do and have no equal, so nothing needs to change. Now stop crying and get better or stop trying." then I don't think there is any possible way to have a debate with you.

Great post ^^ I do agree with you. I usely do more damage with ( Thundaga + Excruciate )than ( Burst+ really low HP + Excruciate ) both in combo or equal Damage. I think a 15 min spell should be more effective then any other spell.

I wasn't taking your words out of context, I was taking your words in the exact context they were used in. You were saying things that were insulting others and complimenting yourself. But I guess you are right about me. When someone is acting like an asshole, I tend to think they are an asshole.

It seems like Burst should be on the same cooldown as Thundaga since that's the same amount of damage. If it's on a 15 minute cooldown it should be 15 times more powerful.
