The GrubHub promo problems

No pizza for you!

Should the promo code show up on the receipt on the app? I ordered dinner for my family through the app yesterday after the VGAs but it doesn't show. Delivery was only .99 cents so I assumed it went through but looking at my receipt theres no mention of the promo. No pizza for me then? :c

I just talked to CS and there is no confirmation for this... you just have to have seen that the message "Code accepted" or whatever flashed during checkout.

Oh, thanks for that! I remember seeing it applied on the order screen, so heres to hoping.

I called in to customer service earlier today, and apparently they changed it? So if you ordered with the promo they told me that it should be arriving via the email used on the grubhub account. There’s apparently a delay because of so many people ordering, but it seems like SE fixed the issue. I ordered yesterday at 9:50 pm central, and was told my code should be arriving December 17th

Whether the fault lies with SE or Grubhub, I am deeply disappointed with the way this promotion has been handled.

I ran into major problems with trying to order from Grubhub. First off in my local area; a Rural Town in the Midwest, I have no restaurants that use any sort of delivery service. Though in the larger city closest to me, which is over an hour drive away, there are restaurants that do offer ordering via Grubhub. However, currently restaurants here are only allowing for pick-up orders with no delivery opinion available. Which I was fine with driving to go pick-up the item, not that they would have delivered to me anyways. However, when I tired to place my order I got an error that my order "do not meet the requirements to use the code" Endwalker. So I contact Grubhub Customer Service which they told me that since I couldn't have the item delivered there was nothing they could do about it. The rep also informed me that they only had a limited number of codes that which most have already been claimed. To me this promotion seems to be poorly planned & even more poorly executed. While I doubt it will come to happen, I do hope the SE realize the troubles players are having & figures out another means for us to collect this really fun emote.

To clarify this is when they said everyone would be sent their code. Which is.. a little nerve wracking since there's no confirmation and the promo will be done by then.

I'm gonna guess this means that the promo applied but since the free delivery has exceeded 20,000 Orders you now get 0.0 Dollars off your order.

I believe it was only applicable on the 9th as well, during the game awards.

Grubhub isn't even in my area.... so fun times I guess.

When I contacted CS due to my concerns of the code not being applied, they replied with explaining why it is I can't get into the game, which has nothing to do with it. :(

I ordered some Mcdonald's to get this emote, I kind of wish had ordered something else. Anyways, if you want to confirm that your code worked you can look at your order history. Select the order you used the code on and if it worked it should say "promo code" above the payment method. I have ordered one other time and did not use a promo code and that order did not say "promo code" so I can only assume it indicates you used any promo code and that it applied. I checked using the website instead of the app, though.

How do I know it took it?

I put it in the box and it said applied really fast before blinking out.

But my email receipt didn't show promo code 0.00.

Like I know the emote code doesn't come till later but there's no sign of the ENDWALKER code on my order..

They talked to their manager I guess, and then came back saying that they ran out of codes and then as an apology said she'd give me a refund. They said the the free delivery promo ran out but I should still get my emote. Searched around twitter and someone else got GrubHub telling them you had to order pizza (not any other food??) to count. What is going on? Can we please get a clear response on this?

See how it says Promo Code underneath Payment method? If that appears, it means that it took your ENDWALKER Code.

Edit: Just realized that my code applied even though my order's total was not $15 before everything else. Fuck. This whole promotion doesn't make any sense.

No confirmation that the promo was used on any of my receipts. I got ahold of GH customer service. They told me the code was not applied to my order and gave me a $5 refund.

I'm not ordering again. Guess only 20k people get the emote.

I created a Grubhub account, and placed an order of $40 on my CC. When I go to apply the code ENDWALKER, nothing happens. It doesn't show up as applied.

I ordered too. Brand new account. Applied the code. No indication it was applied.
Talked to two CSR's from GrubHub. One told me my code wasn't applied and to try on another order. The other told me my code *was* applied but I won't be able to tell.

Yes the information is correct they where limited and on first come first serve terms, so that would explain why it didn't go through, we apologize that the information wasn't clear enough for you to see, we will take the feedback on that aspect moving forward, but for now what I could offer is a full refudn on both orders considering you only wanted the emote.

The Lodestone specifically mentions you have to order on the app. Though, with how this promotion has been so far, it would not surprise me if that was not the case.

I just wanted my goddamn Pizza Emote. The Big Mac wasn't even that good....

Mine was on the email receipt. I didn't check the physical receipt.

So after 6 orders total, and a lot of money spent on troubleshooting this issue (since neither SE nor grubhub seems to want to help), I figured out something.
The grubhub app takes the code, while the website doesn't. I replicated this with someone else who was having similar issues, and the ENDWALKER code was taken on the app successfully.
To help confirm this, I tried yet another order with the promo code and it said it is no longer accepted. This is something the website never did. The app receipt made no mention of the promo code, but it was itemized on the emailed receipt for $0.00.

So I spent far too much money in order to try to help as many as I can. Please spread the word to use the app, not the website.
I'm not exactly happy I had to spend so much but if I can help others not have problems, it's worth it in the end.

Nobody is worried about the date of the code delivery here.
They're worried about the confirmation it even worked. When some people get it and others do not, it's a sign something went wrong.

This is a BS promotion for folks that don't have any grubhub services available in their area .

Ok, well Grubhub doesn't tell you on your receipt what promocode was applied in the payment section, only that one was applied. That's your confirmation.

Order for someone across the state that does have GH. Problem solved! Ask an FC mate if they want food?

it wont show on the receipt and it doesn't have to be on the app. as long as you have "promo code applied" check mark when you order and the item you ordered is over 15 bucks you should be find and get the code on the 17th.
