If you're making a complaint about something that cannot be helped due to a global emergency, please sit down and be quiet so the adults can have a conversation.

Yes and No, I would say

2002 certainly a legimit complain

lack of new server, SE could not completely unexcused by it. EU DC split was in early 2019, no new world added, and we were running at the edge of capacity that time.

Halfway through 2019 many of our EU world still on edge of full capacity, we still have to queue during prime time(not a long one sub 200 mostly) and only roughly half the worlds allow new character. Then 2020 COVID hit and the rest you know. I would say during the split of EU DC they gamble and now it back fire

Are you a certified doctor? Telling people that they may or may not need pills sounds like ilegal exercise of medicine, not to mention incredibly insensitive. Maybe you need to see a therapist if comments on a forum trigger these kind of outlashes on you.

Both Spriggan and Twintaina were added as new servers at that time. However, at this point it's obvious that you guys need a third DC and probably a couple more new servers in the DC that do exist. Of all the queue waits, yours are the most unreasonable and a legitimate problem.

I wonder if SE have seperate operational office in EU/JP/NA

currently interms of server/dc capacity planning JP seem to be way ahead of NA and EU

I'm completely against the use of pills (A.K.A. monetized drugs) and I think that EVERYONE needs therapy. I'm just pointing that if a GAME gives you ANGER, then you (as everyone else) should go to therapy, everyone should go there to work things (I'm working on how not being shy while in a crowd, I give speeches to hundreds of people, but I get shy if I'm talking to 15 directly xD).

I'm just pointing that if a Game does that, you definitely should talk about that with your therapist (everyone should have one, mental illness is the new pandemic) or to your loved ones.

THis is based off of something I think I remember from a livestream when they were talking about the Oceanic DC that was coming. So take with grains of salt.

I believe they said they had 2 distinct problems at that time that were causing the Oceanic DC to not be set up until later in the Xpac.
1. The semiconductor shortage that they were having a terrible time getting around even being willing to pay above normal rates for servers.
2. Travel restrictions making it extremely difficult if not impossible to send a team overseas to set up the DC.

Based off that I am guessing they do not have permanent DC staff anywhere other than Japan.

so, your idea for a "best fix" is to shut everything down? so that when they bring it all back up its December 3rd all over?

what needs emergency maintenance is not the main game, its the login server. the main game is stable, plays well and has no lag in any area I have seen yet. but your idea means that it would affect every player, if it was a game server issue, you would have a point. however, thats not where the problem lies. I am not sure that would be considered the "best" in any situation.

I think the best thing that's come from the EW early access is that my ears are no longer being blown out from the title screen music when I load the game.
