WoW has various types of hp scaling. Most of them involve mobs being hit, but raid scaling exists in how many players are in the instance (since most raids scale 10 to 30 players). -

If I could name change and clear everything on the forums, in order to completely start over, I absolutely would. Damian, WoW is a local forum troll, if he can find something to get a reaction or argument, he'll do it. He gets off on it with everybody. Just don't give him the satisfaction. You can't reason with him.
But the premise of the thread, I agree. Whilst I don't mind the idea of focusing on one zone (it's actually less of a pain that running all over the place), even then a FATE might be gone by the time you get there. Though it's only certain FATEs. People bemoan that people aren't rezzing after FATEs or CE's and I expect this is why. I find when I stop to rez people I miss out on the next FATE. FATEs are at least are frequent enough, but I feel maybe about half of them need to be tuned better.
This whole thing of "it's fine do better" is silly, because nowhere else are they tuned this badly. I feel like this isn't even intentional, especially as it wasn't so much of a problem in the Southern Front.
Though I would actually prefer more CE's and fewer FATEs. This game uses FATEs too much, I mean, they're made relic phases a choices between FATEs and Bozja...so why not just do without FATEs in Bozja and fill it with just much more regular CE's and those who wanna FATE train have FATEs already in the open world. This is supposed to be FFXI inspired content, FATEs don't emulate that. CE's at least feel closer to concepts like Bastion or Resistance and are restricted like NM's and have boss mechanics like NM's whilst being a working FFXIV flavour of it instead of dull copy pasta. -

Is the game more popular now? Of course. And with that comes a bit larger of a pool of players to be grouped with. Some of those are going to be bad apples, but most of them are not. At the end of the day though, nothing has really changed. In my experience (and in the experience of many others) this community is pretty dang friendly, and arguably too understanding sometimes. The forums though...that's a mixed bag to put it mildly.
