People keep asking questions we won't have answers to til release. As for solo play, odds are the high end FATEs that require a good chunk of people to partake in can be done with a small group of BLU if their abilities are OP as they say they are.

I don't. I was asking you what FF game a Death spell one-shotted bosses, because the very idea of that is absurd. Yeah, there are strategic ways to kill bosses more quickly than drawing out the fight through conventional means (Soul Cage in FF9), but I have never heard of simply casting a DEATH SPELL to just up and one-shot any boss we want. No, I don't think that's balanced.
SDaemon and I gave you many examples where you could one shot bosses with a single spell/skill in past FF...as early as FF I
Why are you accusing me of twisting your words? Your original post had nothing to do with level 5 death. You said it wouldn't remain limited, I merely gave you the reasons they gave as to why the job will remain limited, I don't care whether they make sense or not, it's what they said. You seem to be taking this way too personal.
Considering the question was :
I'd say it's not relevant.
And since there was exactly one MMORPG FF before XIV, it's difficult to make a trend for all FF MMO, especially when Yoshi-P clearly stated than "breaking the game" was part of what makes BLU fun.
My understanding is that BLU will break every level 50 content without having to overlevel it (since you can't, obviously :p)...and will also probably break all lvl60 and 70 content when it's level is raised. I still think that SH will bring content with BLU in mind, that won't be broken as easily.
You could make this same argument for literally every job in the game. Every job ultimately comes down to an aesthetic, and a gameplay gimmick. We all know what the aesthetic of BLU is; BLU learns and uses monster skills. Of course we don't know what a group BLU's gameplay gimmick would be, and it's ridiculous of you to expect us to.
Do you really think anyone could have predicted that Red Mage's gameplay gimmick would be to cast black magic, hope to proc a different black magic spell that they could dualcast, then cast "white" magic, hope to proc a different "white" magic they could dualcast, until jumping from across the arena to do a 1, 2, 3 melee combo? Of course not. No one knew ahead of time how XIV's Red Mage would play, but people still wanted Red Mage because they love their aesthetic. And of course, those people wanted to be able to play with all their friends in all of this game's content.
As for the OP's question: We don't know what this solo BLU brings to the table. SE has given us a lot to speculate on, but until we actually play it we won't know if it's a fun and innovative new type of content, or just more of what we're used to but with extra limitations.
