Doman Enclave changes (4.3)

Super easy you will get what you need by regular play, For instance if you use Eureka for Mendacity cap each week, take your lockboxes and have them appraised, 10 tier 5 materia is really more than you need to max out each week. Doing anything else? well I don't do those things for it so up to you, really though tier 5 is super cheap right now and doesn't take much.

Allagan pieces from my nightly venture and V material from expert and I'm capped on Tuesdays. If anything it could be a higher cap but I'm not complaining.

I just vendor all my materials from eureka lockboxes. I've had no problems capping the past 2 weeks.

The method I use is to buy Demicrystals from Idyllshire. They cost you 25 Poetics and sell for 500 gil.

Hit cap every week just off Allegan silver pieces from retainers. I'm actually wishing the cap was atleast 100K because I'm still vendoring junk afterwards just to get it out of my inventory >.>

I went straight to the MB, searched for Clear Demimateria II and III, picked up a whole bunch at vendor price and that's me pretty much sorted on Doman Enclave for the next few months.

The issue is the weekly Gratuity limit, which for many completion-oriented players like myself creates a rather steep goal. There are a ton of items on the marketboard that are worthless to players, and thus get sold at (or below!) their "vendor trash" price.
Materia I-IV. Allagan metals. clear demimateria. In addition, some items that are easy to get but aren't marketable. Moonstone from the ixal, for example.

Not only do I easily make the 20k each week, I actually get more money than I spent. I also find it laughable to call "20k a week" "wealthy enough to throw money at it". I levelled an alt a few months ago and ended with 3.5 mil in the account. It just takes knowing the game's economy a little.

I'm a very casual player and I hit the limit on Tuesdays too.

I run 4 retainers and they give me enough to get roughly 14k gil if I sell it to the Enclave. The other 6k is easily gotten by the scads and scads and scads of worthless materia that is dumped on you from Eureka and other sources.

Heck, this week, I've probably vendored 50k worth of Materia because I just don't have room to hold all that crap and they aren't worth listing on the MB so I just vendor them.

That's not counting the Platinum Piece that Khloe gave me this week because I was capped on Poetics and I really didn't need yet another 5k gil wind-up toy.

It really, really isn't hard whatsoever to hit the cap each week. You'd have to TRY and not play the game to fail.

That's pretty much what I do. Takes like 35-40 silver pieces to cap and my retainers being back like 7 at a time. One day of the four of them doing their 18 hour venture and I'm capped.

I wonder if the obligatory hanging guy is going be rescued once we finish the enclave or at the end of the 4.x patch cycle.

I cap almost instantly when I log after reset. Eureka gave me enough Crystal's and platinum pieces I dont have to worry about it for the rest of the expansion.

Hey everyone here know you can get more than just 1 cut scene per week right? if you dont cap out on the donations in 1 go and split them up into 2 donations you can get double the progress. Donate 10K and get the progression cut scene, then donate the other 10K and get a second cut scene. I was able to finish the 10,000 stall in 2 days because of this (2nd day was reset day). Not sure if this only happens to me but its been really nice to progress so fast.

The cutscenes appear to be at varied amounts. It's not every 10000 gil. I had three cutscenes on my second "week", for example. Though whether it just skips them or pushes them back thus slowing progress...I don't know.

Oh interesting. Does anyone know a set point which spurs the cut scene? It would be nice to know so I dont overshoot and lose out on potential progress by selling off too much.

You can get multiple cutscenes from one donation. It won't let you donate more until you've seen all of them.

Even if you can't cap every week it's not like you have a time limit to finish the enclave, you can work at your own pace and eventually you'll finish it, the enclave isn't going away and we are over a year before the next expansion.

It doesn't actually matter, if you do the full amount at once you can just click the basket and it will just keep giving you cut scenes until your caught up with your donations before letting you put more in

...what exactly do you get for even doing this? I mean, i barely do it, so I wonder what the ultimate point and reward is.

Personally I'll gladly take a simple cutscene over repeating the same few quests ad nauseum to progress the story. I like the stories of the beast tribes but any interesting elements of the individual quests get lost, even to me who reads all the text.... the first time I ran it, weeks earlier. Now I'm just skimming through the dialogue and it's tedious runabout work.

Perhaps a compromise of running small quests once each would work better.

Yes, I've gotten this. After watching a scene and going back to donate more items, when I went to interact with the donation box I immediately got the next scene of Kozakura telling me about new progress.

I'm not sure if anyone knows! Other than story/worldbuilding at this point anyway. Presumably there'll be some sort of reward given at the end of it, whenever that is - and if nothing else, for now it's just an easy way to get some more value out of things you were going to sell anyway.

It for sure unlocks a shop at some point.
Seems to have at the very least a music and a furnishing, most likely some stuff that's useful to crafters as well

That would be nice. Hopefully it'll be better than the "crafter sidequest relating to the 24-raid" that ended up being just a Bacon Bread hand-in...

I don't mind the way this progresses, personally. Doesn't feel that different from capping the special deliveries, if anything this gives me more instant gratification because of the cutscenes.
I wonder if they'll keep adding more easter eggs to the Enclave as you progress, because right now there's the hanging Elezen, the caught Xaela who ended up as part of the story, and the potted Namazu.

Knowing how the weekly limit and scaling works on the gratuity for our "donations," it takes no more effort for me than the following:

1) Do very little basic math according to the conversion rate. In the first couple weeks we had 120% on gratuity, meaning I had to set aside 16,667 gil worth of goods, and then 150% both last week and this coming week, meaning 13,334 gil worth of goods.
2) Have one of my alt characters send a mere fraction of a week's worth of Allagan Silver Pieces from ventures over to my main character. I was going to vendor off those pieces anyhow.
3) Save a few small trash items, and/or fish, so that I can hit that 20k--or rather 13,334 gil as this week's case may be--without spilling so far over that I start losing out on gil that I can get out of it. As an example, before logging out pre-maintenance tonight (groan) I made sure that my main (Aster) has 26 Allagan Silver pieces from Lyra's retainers, 2 nq Commanding Teas that dropped from Canals randomly, and a random fish from when I was trying, and failing, to get one of the big fish in The Peaks tonight; enough to sell normally for 13,343 gil.
4) Teleport to the Enclave instead of Tiramisu (yes, I know the real name of the Kojin place, and I don't care) so that I can knock out my Enclave weekly in the time it takes to walk back and forth across the area and talk to relevant NPCs, then head back to Tiramisu whilst queuing up for either Rab or Ridorana, depending on how tired or awake I am after maintenance ends.

This is such a genius way to encourage players to empty their damn crap from retainers/inventory

According to the orchesrtion log you can buy a roll from the enclave also the candies that are shown in the stalls are a housing furniture as such there should be a secret shop unlocked after completing it

Oh hey! Next week will be 180% exchange rate. That'll be 11,112 gil in goods, tops, to reach 20k. Easy gil at the top of the week, so hardly any work.

Are you serious? Just sell any roulette gear you win and materia 4s. The Enclave is not anywhere near a grind.

I quite enjoy the story I've been getting out of this and I usually do this on Tuesday when I'm qued up for my weekly lighthouse run. I just save junk throughout the week and sell that and old unused gear. I could also see a certain someone take up residency here if you're caught up with the most recent cutscenes.

Of course that's the case. Just buy anything worth several thousand and sell it back to a merchant...The overpay they do is barely relevant.
