Ifrit Vs 8 Santas guess who won...

hello guys ~
this is the video I recorded. Nothing to show off really but, this was filmed so that later day, I can see it from my screen and remember that we had a very good time in eorzea! I wanna share with you so that you guys also make memorable time with your own LS members. ^^

The WoW gear score was ridiculous. This is when decision making should be left to the player. The gear check should act as a barrier that guarantees you will not be able to proceed. What they should have done prior to the Ifrit fight; was introduce gear with fire resistance. This would ensure that you go through previous content to obtain the gear. It also correlates with players skills. You're only getting the gear in order to survive the onslaught. You still have to be able to actually kill him.

In Soviet Russia, Ifrit beats you while wearing a Santa suit.

We totally showed Ifrit the Power of Christmas! Also, on a side note, I didn't wear any accessories, only hands and legs =)
That's why I think that the attributes are really not relative for the fight (tanking it with 700 Defense was worse than this time with 355. Half the defense, damnit!)

Anyway, here's the live cast of me tanking Ifrit. I think my song is better =D

It's not so much about gear as it is about class with ifrit.
You want a challenging fight, go at it without 5-6 LNC and win.

Didn't we all establish already that Ifrit was an easy fight once you get down to it.

It's really only difficult because of the casting lag. If there wasn't that issue it would be cakewalk after a couple runs. With the lag which is always changing if you outside of Japan. 2 to 4 second delay on everything unless you good at timing...he hee...

KUDOS with the spirit of the season. Always, nice to see people enjoying the game and finding ways to enjoy the game as an MMO rather then bashing it all day long.

I've been wondering if gear was broken as well. We killed Ifrit last night wearing only swimsuits and it was a blast. The sad thing was I didn't notice any difference either. Only less HP/MP. Glad I found this post. Guess if its just fire dmg, it would make sence. But even my DMG output was the same. Kinda made me sad that all my str and attk, ect... didn't seem to matter.

Thats what we saw as well, at first we had 3 of us in the santa outfits, and one of those 3 was still out parsing the people wearing normal gear.

It just proves that it does not matter what gear do you wear in this game. /good job

Naked speed run video :3

I really don't how to feel about this, I should be proud of my group but actuallty as some of you already pointed out it wasn't much different from a well geared run. (yeah we had a couple of death, but Mog was drunk and Sparta was on his first time as lancer xD)

It's kinda disappointing, especially since stats were supposed to have a major fix on the latest patch, but they're clearly still broken. I agree that once you get the strategy any fight becomes really easy, but still we shouldn't be allowed to do anything with a naked tank. Sure as hell i'm not gonna spend any gil on food or forbidden melding after this xD
