The issue is you're not doing enough damage to help "secure those kills" in the first place. Assuming you crit 100% of your GCDs judging by your current damage levels i'd still say it'd pretty sub par. If you want commendations, put in more commendable performances. (High damage/kills, lead intelligently etc)

even with my war, but when i play good XD.

I guess there's a fundamental discrepancy between how I view frontlines and how most here do. I think of it as a casual pvp experience due to its structure being a three-way 1v1v1, and also due to the fact that it doesn't enforce strict group compositions like wolves den.

Hence, I don't really care about who I give comms to in this specific instance, cuz I feel that it's a casual experience. Not that there aren't great players or whatnot, I just don't think, due to the context, that assigning comms based purely on merit is really warranted.

Hence, my comment on giving it to whoever wanted it.

Now if you want to reply to that position, I'd be happy to have a discussion. If you, or anyone else, wants to make snide remarks about my level of play, I can only ask, "What for?" Either, (1) you fail at reading comprehension, or (2) you just enjoy making these snide, irrelevant remarks. Whatever the case, I'm gonna try reeeallll hard to be half a good a warrior as you! Kay?

Rock seal is a strategy based PVP, your group need to move accordly to what happen, and make the good move, an error can make sandwich situation or you feed the enemy.
so yes, if it doesn't enforce strict group composition, it enforce strict group work, realy i don't see frontline as casual pvp because atm it's the only played pvp, so you may see often the same guys playing in your alliance.
So Casual Players is queueing, and Pvp addicted is queueing too.
You don't get only casual player here. And get partialy casual players don't make the frontline a casual instance.
But i don't think it's nice to be rude to someone new or playing casualy, sometimes i don't play well too, i know when i play bad, so after i focus more, if someone tell you remarks or be rude to you, it's not like you can't progress. Just don't care of the rudeness, who care about jerks anyway. just try harder if you wish.
Also give a comm is up to anybody, you can get comm by helping someone, or if someone think you played good. Or not get any comm at all.
i think about better way to get comm, like any dgn or even guildhest, the pvp is not the better place to get comm.

I know pvp is not a good place for comms. But since that's all I've been doing, it's my only source. I'll cut back on pvp a bit for now until I hit my goal. Thanks for the advice though.

I'm more interested in commending a friendly player than someone who simply played well. When you get a commendation from me it means: "Hey, I appreciate the fact you were friendly/went out of your way to help me out and I'd be happy to be teamed up with you again". If you were the most abysmal excuse for a player imaginable and apologised profusely while working to the best of your ability and arguably bringing out about a team loss, I'd easily commend you over a random mute, or worse, an egotistical/obnoxious player who helped ravage the enemy lines.

I can't count the amount of times I have died because I ran half way across the map to help, who were quite frankly, really stupid players who thought they were invincible and didn't know how to retreat. My Cover was giving you ten seconds of protection while you made your escape, not giving you ten seconds to mindlessly attack an enemy who has a healer topping up every digit of damage to deal. My Bind, Purify, Knockback, Paean and mere presence served to help you make a more likely escape, not recklessly team up in some hopeless excuse for a 2v6+ scenario. I never got commendations from such players, not even a "Sorry" nor a "Thank you". I really don't care though. What I do care about is the fact they wasted my time and team points without showing any sign of realising just how ridiculous their choices were.

In any case, my commendations are voluntary gifts that I can award at my own discretion. They're not a commodity that I am interested in sharing out to people whom I don't feel deserve it. And to me, simply playing well is quite low on my priority list when it comes to determining who, if anyone, gets a commendation. I won't 'not' commend someone for asking for commendations, but like a lot of people here, I certainly treat it as a deterrent.

The one guy who said "I will if you're good" was being a smart-ass, and no, there is no right in that, he was being a prick to piss you off *he succeeded I guess :/* . Anyways, comms aren't all that important to most so people leave right away to rdy a queue for the ext match. I get comms sometimes when I happen to do something memorable like survive an entire alliance trying to kill me then do the happy emote spam (makes me look like I'm squatting) in their faces then get out safely with my group laughing their asses off. Just keep a positive attitude and have fun, people are going to be dicks anyway if you ask so be that butcher knife of happiness and swing your axe with a carefree attitude till you get one. They won't get close if they know better ;).

Also If you want comms the best way to get it is through regular dungeons, you'lll most likely get all the comms if your a tank :/ Oh right, and always wait a bit after a match. some are willing to give comms sometimes. Don't want to accidentally miss a comm cause you were too hasty :p

Commendations and other similar things are not and never will be an accurate reflection of a players skill, ability, or knowledge of how a game is played and operates. That being said... Yes being a better player and a friendly player help immensely but understand you're also contending with however many other people. To think that you (or whomever) single-handedly are above other people in terms of receiving commendations is probably a good reason why a person wouldn't get them in the first place. It's a team effort.

Being commended as the name of the action suggests is a nice thing, it means someone took notice of your ability or personality. And yeah it feels good, I like to try get at least 1 every time I go on an adventure but shouldn't and is not meant to be taken to heart if you don't get 1 or 3 or 7.
It's main function is meant as a motivator for people to be kind to one another and not become complacent in their 200th run of brayflox.

If I do recall, being kind and trying your best were suppose to be rewards in themselves at one time.

As for these "jerks" in pvp. They don't sound like jerks, they sound like they want to play a video game. No reason to get angry over that. knowing now the reason why they don't com people should be further reason not to get all outta wack about not getting coms.

Standing still and spamming heals brings that number up. This is why I never look at HP healed

All numbers in PVP can be skewed one way or another. Its especially easy to do it on whm but dps numbers can also become inflated with things like pocket heals, premades, kill steals, dot stacks etc. The stats at the end of the matches are pretty meaningless. You can use it as a basis to give your commendations if you want but unless you actually stalked the player and watched him all game you cant really tell how good he is just from the stats alone. There really isnt any barometer derived from those stats that will always define a great player be it dps or heal, thats just how worthless those stats ultimately are.

I just watched my cousin do a pvp and C group lost it for them, maelstrome was like 700 and flames which is my cousin was at 754+

He had A and they had S.

Told C to defend stay put but instead they ran over and fed them points making us lose points and them gain them even faster than guy says why didn't you attack.
B and A were defending half way across map and if they were running to that point flames would have won but nope instead feed them points.

That's the problem I see with pvp people who don't listen they clearly had victory in bag but nope someone has to not listen at all instead I watched the C group on his screen just spread all over the map dying lol

Then that dude shouts if we would of attacked as a group we would have won but 2 groups were all the way across map on the A. while they were being slaughtered spread out.

I don't see why my cousin even does these when nobody can work together as a unit, when I did pvp people just kept running for nodes that were at 10% left why even go for the scraps instead find a full one and defend it so I stopped doing pvp.

If you have to ask for commendations you're doing it wrong already.

Yes, and I explained at length why I think this is so. TL DR; (1) front lines is for casuals (2) no one cares about comms (3) people insta leave to get on the queue train (4) for the reasons 1-3, there's no real reason to not just give comms to anyone who asks or even cares about it other than maybe trying to be elitist in a low-skill cap pvp mode (5) hence why i called them jerks. you can disagree. and clearly you do. but let's just let this thread die okay?
