35 Dur Specialist Recipe Rotations

I tried Fince's rotation in the simulator for the 60* recipes. I had to get to 899 Craftsmanship before it would not fail (with food).

Hmm, that doesnt make sense...
Nobody can reach 899 craft without overmelding like no tomorrow and use strong craftsmanship food. It's simply not practical.

You should only need 849 craft to finish the item in 3 strokes:
1x CS II alone (121 progress)
2x CS II on Ingen2 (221 progress)

Also, although pushing 5 touches in a row can save SH II's (durab down to 5), I'd rather not do that. I prefer to only deplete durab down to 15 before renewing Manip. This way, I can always do a Precise Touch if the condition is Good or Excellent. But the good thing about your rotation is that you can actually macro it. Because it seems like you dont' plan to take any Trick of Trade at all.

yeah something is different, I changed the level from 170 to 160 and it is now closer, but still off a bit from the actual game.

With 437 CP I can use 3 BT/PT before taking any ToT. The fact that these items are not needed in HQ to HQ the il185 gear kind of killed my efforts to work on a rotation for these. They do appear to get more good/ex procs then previous recipes as well. You can easily drop in ingen/inno in the end, but I haven't bothered.

Slightly altered to include ingen and inno. Still leaves 10 CP with 0 ToT. This is also done using lvl60 2* recipe stats and ramie thread as the only HQ ingredient used. HQ cloud cotton/pterodactyls/etc. are not needed.

I haven't tested what is better, 2 more bt/pt or ingen 2. But, I will always drop the innovation and use a PT if a good/ex procs.

I've gone ahead and simplified my approach and created a dumb macro since HQing all of these isn't critical. You can see my macro with food below. This requires 444 CP and approximately 800 Craftsmanship (with Food) You should be able to miss one FS with 800 craftsmanship and two with 850 craftsmanship. Again this is just a dumb macro with HQ Onion Soup to crunch through crafting these quickly. Note I prefer 4 second wait in macros like this incase the server is being cranky... but 3 seconds is sufficient. Also NOTE this is super inefficient, but is probably the best I can do without swapping skills (which I personally HATE doing).

Those steps I posted are way easier than the first time I got it working. I hope it helps someone at least.

You should swap your WN2 SH2. That way if you can proc a ToT after the first SH2 and it should not make a difference no?

I still have not tested this rotation, seems very cool. I don't like craft rng so much, so this seems nice. Right now I'm having problem with 1436 rotation. Yesterday I had multiple failures with more than 80% HQ, a lot really. This is how I'm doing it:

Seems a bit small, but the starting quality is 1915. Rotation works nicely with more starting quality.

I'll have a look into it soon but for starters you're missing a steady hand 1 at the start(before the 2 PbPs). PbP is 90% success rate so that could cause a lot of fails.

I appreciate your help, its helping me a lot thank you so much. Incredible PbP almost never fails, the problem is when it fails, it kills my rotation.

This is a big improvement, it'll prevent the PbPs failing & increases the possible quality from 12707 to 14550 (increase of 1843).

getting strange results from the simulator (http://ffxiv-beta.lokyst.net/#/simulator)

it's overestimating progress quite badly.

my example, ltw/pterodactyl strap : 718 craft, 685 control

it estimates muscle memory correctly, but then the other progress options are way out

sim says rapid synth will get 445 prog (in game it's 212) and careful synth II 213 (in game it's only 101), It also measures careful synth I at 160 (didn't try it in game, but going by the previous figures it would be around 70)

is it simply wrong, or am I missing something obvious?

just seems the strap recipe has a bug of some kind, I tried it with a kingcake instead and got more realistic progress figures, though they were still a smidge higher than in-game.

Tested that rotation today, made 35 Adamantite Ingots, without any NQ, all perfect HQ. Although we are dealing with FFXIV rng, no rotation is perfect. Image bellow is a warning to everyone remember that:

I'm not so sure that you need the Ingenuity 2 there. It depends upon how much Progress a CS2 gets you, I suppose. The two PbP and the 7 FS's get you to 1070, the point I generally aim for under this rotation. The following 3 FS's I allot for Tricks or just fails, but since you're using them, they cover about one CS2 of progress (I was getting 120something, depending upon food, prior to this patch). So you are at 1190 Progress, needing 246, or 123 Progress for each of your two CS2's.

Aren't you getting that much? Or is it there to cover for any failed FS's?

Personally, and this is a matter of taste, I figure upon losing up to 3 MaMa charges on failed FS or Tricks. Those Tricks let me take Precise Touches when possible, or Basic Touches should no Good/Excellent pop up. However, that means I use one more CS2, as well. So my rotation, right after the last FS to the MM2, is this : IQ, CS2, CS2, SH2, WN, HT, HT, HT, HT. I get one less HT, but I am able to turn more into BT/PT. I don't have Ingenuity 2 set when making these things.

Ingenuity also increases quality. Since I'm lvl 60. All 1* lvl 60 crafts or higher will be affected by ingenuity 2 for quality. If you want to test this, I'd say test it on e.g. sewing thread.

When used on just the 1 basic touch the progress increase doesn't seem like it helps much but it has a big impact when used on e.g. a byregot's finisher to a craft.

If you compare the below rotation (same as original but missing ingenuity 2), based on the simulator you can see it increased quality by 1676.

You're blowing well past the Quality necessary, as well. I know - BB does that. Still does not appear you need the Ing 2 there. You should be able to convert that CP to one BT/PT, and an Observe if you really want the fishing step.

My rotation: With ingenuity 2

- you need 3 flawless synthesis fails before the craft fails.
- can still miss 3 hasty touches & still 100% hq the craft.

Your rotation: If you remove the ingenuity 2 & replace a hasty touch with a basic touch

- 1 flawless synthesis fails then the craft fails
- missing 3 hasty touches will give you a 88% chance of hq
- lets say that 1 BT means you miss only 2 hasty touches then you hq at 100% but you still have the problem with failing the craft if 1 flawless synthesis fails


If you're seeing it from a different perspective could you please clarify since if your reasoning is reasonable then it could help me in future rotations/macros.

Roth remember the sim is buggy with higher level crafts and Ing/Ing2.

For 2* lvl 60 crafts, Ing2 isn't buggy. It's only Ing1.
