Maybe it has been mentioned already, but one thing that's been bugging me alot lately is having to create macros for every class change. It would be nice if instead, it would save your skills and gear for each class after setting it up.

Probably as noticeable as you can make it without being able to post a pic ><
1. AH!
2. Moghouse!
3. Chocobos
4. Artifact Armor and quests! (Make them hard and time consuming)
5. Airships (by this i mean unlock Ishgard since they only seem to go there anyway)
6. Classic FF Job names (I don't wanna be a BLM with a heal button)
7. Skill chains and Magic Bursts!
8. Skill chains and Magic Bursts!
9. Skill chains and Magic Bursts!
10. Skill chains and Magic Bursts!
Was i the only one expecting to see a sequel to FF11?
1. More content, faction based and storyline
2. More to do for sp other than leve's and behest. I love the "defend the hamlet" idea. Basically a behest where you fend off mobs. (please god no stupid mobs, how about humanoids)
3. Chocobo's. For transportation, let us raise them, customize them, and have free roaming with no time limits. Even if its a rank 50 quest to obtain one just get the yellow birds to us
4. More armor and weapons to choose from.
5. Action animation improved/more unique for spells and weapon skills
6. Make the aggro mobs name appear red instead of the icon next to it
7. Keep solo play in mind, I would hate to see it end up like FFXI. I never want to spend half my time online LFP
8. Make stats matter. I love the physical level system, but make every stat count, and please don't hide stats
9. Personal housing. I don't want a mog-rat in my home, they stink and chew up the furniture
10. Players to battle nm's in the arena for special items/gil/sp
No definitely not, but if you even speak of a sequel people on here will tell you this in not ffxi-2 and tell you if you want ffxi game mechanics then go play ffxi. I for one was hoping for a sequel, just better. Dont get me wrong I like change but why do away with so many successful features? To be honest, Im getting so tired of the forums, its just a bunch of negativity floating around... depressing.
Crappy.
Well here's the top 3 chart for up to Pent's post:
http://www.galamantyl.com.ws043.alen...ages/chart.png
Sorted from the most 1s > most 2s > most 3s.
I'm working on one for all 10, but that's going to take a while. If you were to count em straight up, Chocobos is the biggest so far.
Anything that I couldn't understand or was far too vague got dumped into (general) for that category. I tried to include as many as possible. Right now, the list is already pretty massive. I'm thinking of making subcategories and splitting "Job System" into "Jobs" "Abilities" "Spells"
1. A linkshell retainer
2. better search system for markets
hello everyone,
First Let's talk about classe's and abilities.
(Pugilist) - the evade ws is useless no one using them and sadly R50 Pug ws must evade to do it , i know everyone like pug/monk for the style how cool this job to play but i prefer we do ws without need evade to do it i ranked pug to 50 but im sad about the ws i must evade to do it i realy didnt enjoy it and its the only special ws at R50 and need to evade from 1-49 ws all same beside the jump ws its not like MONK in ffxi with asuran fist and hundred fist and it was realy fun to play but in FFXIV should be better than FFXI .
(Conjurer) - at Rank50 there is nothing realy special i except atlast to get Reraise
(Lancer / Maruder) i feel they are same just some diffrent abilities not making big diffrent
(Gladiator)- about shield raise up and down i prefer the shield when we raise it up it go down when the battle end so we can enjoy it more than spamming 1 111 then 2 to raise shield again.
(about Physical level and Points Allotment)
i prefer each job have diffrent point to put so we can play between mages / melee/ tank each diffrent Points allotment tree like FFXI how we enjoy the jobs change between war / rdm w/e every job diffrent stats here in FFXIV Sadly all in same stats u put that not fair.
And when we change between classes we get annoying with the auction bars to put abilities and remove some , why not put a Save option for each class to save the auction bars in each class so we change jobs with out worries about auction bars i prefer save option better than set macros for each ability for each job , same with gear i equip pug gear i save that for pug so when i change to another job i just click on the saved option list to equip the other gear/auction bar for the other job
i was excepting this game to be no.1 i played FFXI for 7 years and i have hope for FFXIV to be no.1 MMO game i thought they learn the mistakes from FFXI but sadly Tanaka team missed up FFXIV and everyone left this game ;; well i know not realy many people playing FFXIV like other mmos now i say merge servers for now and open new one when PS3 Release and the game till that time i hope it will be much better and i know its getting better and better.
(About Areas) - i agree with Redone Black shroud zone, and i hope to add more zones or cut the currents zones for more zones , the map is so big and we have only 5 zones and rank 1-50 can be done in same zone , realy its bored big zone and only 5 and we all crowded in Uldah
(About Parties) - everyone tired of shouting to get ppl to grind with , i prefer FFXI PT system is much easier to make/find ppl to form PT and i hope they add more mobs to fit all the lvls for Parties to rank up and to enjoy the game realy tired of grinding alone or 1-2 players not realy fun dont feel the jobs specialties melee spamm 1111 and mages cure/nuke
(Battle system) - i realy dont feel it and i dont enjoy it even if i do WS or nuke still there is something we missing .. (FFXI when you do Sneak attack , WS how fun was that i realy dont feel this when i do any abiltie with WS its like ok )
Stamina gauge annyoing cuz no Auto attack but hope they add auto attack for next patch
(about mog house) - we need something like it for your retainers to share the items between your retainer better than you take from that to give other one.
(Claim system )- i dont like that claim 1 by 1 specialy when you AOE and hit the yellow target you will lose sp gain when u kill it with Low hp . we dont enjoy the Area of effect with the claiming system make it like FFXI any mob i attack its claimed to me so mages and melees enjoy with the Area of efect abilites alos tank can do AOE tanking to gain hate from all.
(Mounts)
all mmo's now player can have their own mount to travel why we dont have our own chocobo like at Rank 20 we can learn the chocobo ride to travel around the world
about maps we need to put notes like FFXI, and i hope to put back Allince and Party limit like 8 players maximum.
(Behest) - SP dropped with 15 players they all need to do behest and a limit for behest not fun i dont know but let more Parties can join the behest and each Partie have diffrent mission to do.
(About Regional Leves )
quest limit i would like to increase it more than 8 or we can do each city 8/8/8 also that good to travel between the cities than sticking in one and more leve more fun.
(Fatigue)... no one like it there no point for that ... Other MMOS if the player dont log in they get reset sp/exp bar to gain more when they log in ... well the game is fine with out Fatigue is depressing players down and it let the players become hardcore more with it
( Linkshells) we need kick/LSmessege players note.
(Crafts) it should be easier than that and have diffrent lvl i shouldnt be R50 same jobs it's craft everymmo the crafts is much diffrent that the classes i dont know why i feel in FFXIV its same as job lvling , and it should be easier than this way
(Repairs ) i prefer the npc repair my stuff to 100% and put that in each camp so we dont have to go back to city
Thanks for reading and i'm sorry my english is poor and sorry if im missing with missed with something .. /hope for this game.
1. More content to do at endgame
2. Things to do independent of leveling
3. Quest lines that arent so far apart so i dont forget whats going on in them while leveling to unlock the next quest.
4. More things to do while getting to 50
5. hamlet raids for more than one level range
6. better travel systems
7. Less boring crafting/gathering, more things for crafters to do (Maybe bolstering defenses at hamlets).
8. Jumping or terrain that isnt such a pain to get around, or boring to look at while i'm getting there.
9. The rest of the soundtrack, we know you have 70 tracks minimum.
10. Player housing.
1. Implementation of traditional class names - class uniqueness.
2. More party-centric content.
3. Equipped actions/traits saved per class.
4. More eventful ferry rides - pirate attacks!
5. Ishgard - the "central" city-state.
6. More travel options - Chocobos and Airships.
7. Diminished use of teleportation following the implementation of other travel options.
8. Linkable items/quests in the chat log, perhaps through the use of auto translate function. Blatantly stolen from WoW.
9. More character customization options - "Barbershop."
10. Player hubs! We should be able to sit at the tables in the taverns. I understand latency concerns, but most people just idle by the leve counter anyways.
It's a top 10 wishlist thing. (kinda anyway) Granted, people have been using it to drop off ideas.
Honestly, what should happen is, when you're idle for 5 minutes or something, your character looks for something nearby to sit on, or just sits down on the ground. Classic games used to have your character do funny things when you leave the game sitting long enough. This should've been common sense for the developers, but I guess people have been missing more of that in the recent years.
1. Normal animations! no more 4 hits whit pugilist when you only do 2 times damage
2. PVP content in instances like a battlegrounds
3. PVE content in instances
4. Auto-attack toogle system (i want to choose when and how auto attack)
5. Auto-jump system (just like Zelda, Ocarina of time)
6. Party based battles.
7. Central city, whit central markets
8. Chocobos!!!!
9. Class rename.
10. Fasters animations on craft
Top 6. NOT that there aren't at least 10 (or 100) things wrong with this game, but just keeping it to the fundamentals
1. More content
- End game - Not expecting XIV to have XI's variety of end-game events 8 months into release, but as long as they're thinking about it
- While leveling - more activities like behest where people can easily group up and get some nice rewards
2. More transportation options (chocobos, airships)
3. Better storyline integration
- When new missions are added they need to reduce the required ranks for the current ones, or have it based on physical level instead. I barely remember what's going on in the story if it's been weeks since the last one.
4. Introduction of advanced/traditional classes
- http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...sic-FF-Classes
5. Removal or reduction in fatigue penalty
- Has been discussed ad nauseum. If this is an issue of conforming to Chinese regulations about restricting game time, keep the system but increase the thresholds.
6. More transparency about in-game parameters
- This annoyed me in XI as well, but XIV doesn't have the benefit of a thriving wiki/community to theorycraft all this out.
- Why are food buffs hidden?
- Why not make it more obvious what penalty you're receiving my equipping gear of an inappropriate rank/class?
- Why can't there be a symbol indicating whether a synthesis is "magical in nature" or not?
- Stuff like this does not make the game more challenging, just more annoying.
1. Chocobo's
2. Airships (public and/or private)
3. Improved battle balance (and fix the slow cumbersome BR)
4. Better defined classes
5. More class specific gear
6. More life into the world
7. Housing and mailbox
8. More Kupo
9. Expand trade to 8 or 10 items
10. This last one isn't actual up to SE but anyways, a comunity that is more constructive and that support eachother more.
When al this is done, expand the world, lore and story, and let the comming danger to eorzea hit hard XD
Edit: Add all leves in the auto-translation
1. A Party Seeking Indicator
-Granted the party leader posting openings is a nice concept, but it should work in combination with a party seeking function. Makes party formation a whole lot easier.
2. Ability to indicate character role. (DD, Healer, Nuke, etc.) with primary and secondary roles available.
3. Enspells (Needs to be introduced with a new class.....comes after everything else is adjusted.)
4. Shields that don't need to be spammed.
-Honestly, parry doesn't require spamming to work, evade doesn't require spamming to work, why in the world does blocking require spamming?
5. Attribute reassignment that doesn't take days.
-Playing a DoW class, with STR, DEX and VIT
-switch to DoM class, oh look, can only change 40 out of 300+ points every X hours.....guess I'm going to be a crappy mage for a few days.
6. Equipped actions/traits and attributes saved on a per class basis.
7. Mailbox - inter-character relations that don't require standing next to the person, thank you.
8. Removal of the stamina bar
-one cool-down timer is enough, 2 cool-down timers to watch, thanks, but no thanks
9. Auto-Attack
-I am sick of sitting in a battle hitting 1 over and over and over again
10. Higher NPC sell prices - all this loot, yet it's worth zilch, nadda, nothing.
lmao i agree 100% you hit the nail directly on the head
we will not see anything but bullshit updates until they decide if they will be able to get money from this game. Thats what its all about ppl dont get it twisted for 1 sec SE will continue to put this bs about player polls and that the things they are adding is what ppl actually want until they decide to drop the payment bomb back into the equation. Then maybe, maybe they will add something worth seeing, dont get me wrong i like the game but we all know they have the ability to make it what it should have been months ago right now if they want to... they are stretching this crap out to see if they can make money with this or let it die .... ppl dont lie to yourselves, and Square Enix cut the crap!
Now not like it matters but i'd like to see...
1. a mail/house system
2. chocobo's, a large game world is fine if u dont have to traverse it at a slow steady jog
3. for god sakes seperate the gear in to more defined classes "bs glove" best suited to paperboy>bastard child, worn hooker class. class specific gear/artifacts own, if it aint broke dude....
4. since the game came out there is a musketeer guild for what class....... also samurai/ronin class w/e u wanna call it..
5. pc activated instance battles like ksnm/bcnm
6. make the game more party oriented, add content that u simply can not do alone, with rewards that merit ppl actually taking the time to gather and conquer
For now thats all i'll list SE knows whats really needed like i said before they wont add one real improvement till after they drop the free to play aspect of the game.....
bash my previous reply all u want, if u accept SE's bs in a bottle and defend it then u must not know good gaming this game can be better now if they want it to be....
QFT. SE's goal is to expand the player base, not appease the small one they have now. The game needs to be more approachable, and the only way to do that is to take market norms, add their own unique spin on things and make a really interesting but fun experience. There's a small vocal minority who just want FFXI-2, and it's obvious that SE doesn't want that. Personally, I don't want that either. I don't want to have to seek for hours to level up, I don't want to wait outside another appolyon-like area to farm chips, I don't want to have to level 10 different classes to 37 to use as support for my primary class. Give me a reason to play this game, aside from "XYZ's pop window is open!!!!1111" We're past 2002, Push for more Instanced, dungeon/raiding content.
i dont at all want a ffxi-2, but at some point completely ignoring what they did to make that cash cow rake in money and gamers for hmmm how many years is crazy..... inovation is fine, great awesome but trying so hard to stay away from the simple aspects that most mmo's know as just solid ground work for this genre is obviously not working. every game that has any gameplay or presentation aspects that are simular to wow are called copy cats but who cares that lable doesnt stop them from being good games..... all i'm saying and i know its cliche' but it just holds true is that if it aint broke dont fix it
There's a flaw with the whole "Let's not have an FFXI-2" arguments that have been going around. It's because of that flaw I've been staying out of it, because I don't think I have a means to keep myself from pointing out the "flaw" with those people arguing (and how ridiculously stupid they sound). But I'll try to withhold obvious statements about people's intelligence.
First: You lose. Why? Player's poll. Obviously the majority of people playing FFXIV are FFXI players. All that matters now is how much of that 25~30% of the "other" players SE wants to keep.
Second: You lose. Why? Because the very sad truth is that majority of people don't want something new. I mean, they made FOUR call of duty games. Six Castlevania games that followed the same RPG brew as Symphony of the Stupid. Hell, you're probably a hypocrite for even arguing because you yourself have played the same game over and over rebranded on your playstation 3 and xbox 360.
But, me, personally, I'm all for something new. That's right, I just finished arguing a point against people who want something new, when I want something new myself. Go ahead and call me a hypocrite also, but the difference is, I can accept that the world is run by idiots who want the same crap over and over again. Hironobu Sakaguchi should be getting his fishing gear together by now because the days of innovative gaming are long gone now.
Anyway, steering back on the topic of the top 10.
I see nobody else has voted for more cake or fake mustaches yet.
1) Lose skill points upon death
This will make sure that people learn their jobs and play PROPERLY. SE got it right with FFXI. Notice how careful everybody was post level 50? A party wipe was a big deal, and you'd tell your linkshell about it. In WoW, on the other hand, you just reclaim your body and get back to business.
2) Addition of quests
Guildleaves are fun, but does anyone seriously even read the description for them (i.e. the background info)? Plus, I loved the story element of previous FF games (even FFXI). Square are GOOD at story telling.
3) Encourage grouping!
When I group, I want to commit for at least one hour, socialize with party members, and make some serious progress. On the other hand, having to wait for two hours is no fun, and this leads me to point number 4:
4) More players per server!
Eorzea is empty, and I know this is due to few people actually playing the game, but let's face it: if it's supposed to be a virtual WORLD, then there have to be plenty of people in it to inhabit it. I want crowds waiting for ferries, groups of parties scattered around grinding areas and enough people to ensure friendly rivalry between guilds.
5) Fix enemy strenghts
The OP topic read "10 things you want to see," not things you want changed, however this is such a pain in the ass that I'm including it anyway
Let's face it: it's broken. Greens and blues go down very easily, while yellows kill me half the time. (I'm sure SE are aware of this and are working on it, though.)
6) Market wards suck
I only ever travel to the hell known as the "market wards" when I have searched for an item and am looking for the retainer selling it. I am not saying "introduce an AH!", but for the love of God, make the market wards more user friendly. It's also a pain in the ass to travel inbetween wards when you're purchasing many things in one go.
7) Let me into Ishgard!
'Nuff said.
8) Mentors to introduce newbies
I had the luck of getting enjoyed to a guild within my first ten minutes of playing, but for those who don't, let them get helped by fellow players who in turn will receive some sort of reward for their efforts; perhaps some form of honorary title?
I don't want people to buy XIV, and then give up after 30 minutes of playing it.
8) The Garlean Empire...
Bring 'em on!
9) More diverse areas with seasons
In the future I wish to see more diverse areas; especially snowy areas. But more importantly, I wish to see the areas change in seasons. I think we're up to that level of computer sophistication now. I know that days change quickly, and it wouldn't make much sense to have the seasons change every other day, but it's just something that I'm hoping for.
10) Teach crafters judo
Some people just craft (we have two of them in our guild, and they play every day), but they have little means of defending themselves while moving about in the game. Give them some defensive skills (but purely defensive skills, and no group buffs or anything like that).
My ยข2.
Input, especially criticism, is gladly appreciated!!
10: Equipment with usable charge effects (Like Dream Hat produced Ginger Cookies in XI)
9: Speed Enhancement Gear/Abilities (Besides gathering class ones...)
8: More Guild Mark abilities... I've already bought all of them, what do I do with the extra Guildmarks now...? -.-
7: Chocobos and/or Airships would be nice.
6: Addition of some other type of mage class, THM and CON are the only two current choices so it doesn't give you much flexibility as it is now.
5: More to do from Ranks 20-30 than slowly grind by yourself.
4: Access to more of the world, which I'm assuming also requires more storyline.
3: Some kind of instanced battlefield content, where you can choose your level range. and then pick an instanced battlefield like you would a leve.
2: Pet classe(s) in general.
1: Summoner, Summoner, and Summoner.
1. something same as Mog house.
2. Quests for party.
3. increase the time for Protect,Shell lasts.
and there is something i wish SE didn't do that is you can change from war to mag just by change the weapon. if they did is to only change among war classes and among mag classes by equip the weapon. (exp. if you war class you can't change to Mag by just equip the weapon).
this is my personal opinion and many not agree with me and i respect that.
10) Content
9) Rank 15 30 40 and 50 class specific gear.
8) For melee classes to not be able to cast spells (Specific roles for the classes).
7) to be able to attack areas I want to on the enemy (ie. leg to reduce movement speed, arm to reduce targets accuracy and/or attack power, gut to cause bleeding[wound damage], throat to silence, etc.).
6) Better battle animation and spell animation, this is a newer game that FF11 and has worse animations, go figure.
5) Crafting recipe over-haul, why do I need to have a rank 22 armorer to make and item for a rank 9 spear.
4) Fix the targetting system, it's horrible.
3) More weapons (there is a 10 level gap between polearms rank 16 -26, there needs top be an upgrade of the 16 polearm at 20-22) and different types of weapons (1 handed axes, spiked-maces, 2 handed swords).
2) The action bar to be fixed and improved upon (AKA. look at WoWs or LOTROs). the one we have is not acceptable, and it stops work at random times so you actually have to click on it with the mouse to get it to start scroll through bars 2 and 3 again.
1) A stealthing class, these are almost mandatory in modern day MMOs.....
1- Summoner
2- More links to original, class and great final fantasy series... dont drop this away ..
3- Class specialization (why conjurer is both BLM and WHM, separate them or take by the Talent trees idea in any other MMO to solve your issue)
4- Less laggy interface.
5-Airships like in FF11
6-Big NMs and instances.
7-Add useful orders like the following (/assist /re /follow /roll)
8-BETTER story line cutscenes and things to do... (walking 10 sec to get into another cutscene is freaking annoying considering the 5 second pause the character makes before he goes into the cutscene)
9- I would love to see the basic final fantasy elements in here... (Enemy skill usage [BLU], WHM BLM RDM SMN DRK LNC PLD WAR artifacts simply by specializing Conjurer, clear roles)
10- Learn from your own FF1 to FF9, they are pretty good reference to know what to add to this game :)
Here's my top 10. I wanted to have a balance of big and small things to work on. I also tried to be realistic, but I know a few of these are probably still out of the question. I do feel strongly about each and every one. I left out the wishes for more endgame / high level content because you need to have a strong base before you can add to the top of a tower.
1) Auction House (Linked between all cities of course)
2) Re-name of classes to traditional names
3) Stamina Bar Gone (At least for casters)
4) Removal of "Optimal Rank" gear
5) Separate set of Point Allotment for each Class (When you switch, you don't have to wait hours to re-assign all your points)
6) More quests/missions
7) Split of Conjurer into Whm and Blm
8) Dagger = Thief, not Gladiator
9) Removal of the need to Stand up from the menu after sitting down
10) Macros on main menu instead of buried in config.
Ok, I'll take a stab at this.
First and foremost, I want this game to be a FF game, and worthy of a title game. I don't want to see it just copy other MMOs.
That being said:
1. Definitely more content all around. And I know that will take time. Most MMO's revolve around leveling as the reward for playing. I would like to see content that has reason and reward without leveling, that perhaps even ones you must be a certain level to take part in. This could be key to having a very long lasting MMO. Use the levequests and the grinding for leveling, have other games and mini games for things other than leveling. I think the sidequests they started is a tiny babystep in this direction. The problem with them is, they are the same as the levequests, basically, and the reward isn't really worth it. If the reward was some of the harder to get crafting materials, that might not be bad. But I think rewards of certain skills would also be worthwhile in the future.
2. To get more content more quickly, I wouldn't mind if they borrowed specific ideas from previous FF games, for the time being, just to get things started. For instance, the card game from FFVIII. I loved that game. Getting cards could be a reward, and people could play each other, with even a winner takes the best card option or something like. There could be rare cards with FF characters on them. Since they already have the levequests, having a card game won't seem too out of place.
3. I don't think it would fit in the world they have set up, but I love the idea of having equipable magics like materia was in FFVII. They could be really expensive, or maybe also a quest reward. That would probably take a lot of scripting though.
4. This is FF, and there is no epic looking sword? I do absolutely love the armor and the artistic style of the game, but the weapons are a bit lacking.
5. There needs to be some more variety in the armor and weapons when it comes to stats. There's a little bit, but right now its more about getting what's close to your level than choosing for any real purpose. Bring in armors that have status ailment guards and power buffs like in the games.
6. If there is a Cid somewhere, I apologize, but I haven't seen him. There must be a Cid! You can't have FF without Cid.
7. Limit breaks. I really missed having those in FFXIII, although everyone did have one special move. Level cap should definitely have something at least nodding to it.
8. Summons... (Where's Shiva?). On a limited, very costly basis, but there should be some. Again, would be a great side quest reward.
9. Who needs a mog house? I want a mog pet! ^^
10 and beyond. You can see where I'm going with this. I want things that make FF, well... FF. Take the best parts that make FF great, and put them in an MMO. I understand that there are limitations with world wide game servers. But I think some fashion of these things and more can be modified to fit into the game. Even though the FF games are solo console, they revolve around teams. Let us be those teams. Let us be more like Cloud or Auron or Tifa or whoever your favorite is. One reason I like conjurer so much, is because it's similiar to Aerith.
I love this thread!
1.) Diversity of content - That is, as much as adding more, add more ways to do it!
2.) Diversity of Crafting - See above, but specifically for crafting!
3.) Classic FF Jobs as Advanced/Questable Jobs
4.) Multi-tier quests - Like The Star Onion Brigade quests from 11!
5.) Companies! - I don't know what they are! But I want them!
6.) Better interaction with world - Target crystals/chairs/etc., to bring up menu!
7.) Search features for grouping! LFG flag, please!
8.) BOTH an AH and Market place! - Add "average price" (not last price) to markets, and include blind auctions with reserve price setting!
9.) Better UI, Better UI, Better UI! - Better UI!
10.) Class Specific Gear but NOT Rank Specific - With higher penalties to wearing higher level gear! (With current durability impact, it is actually better for me to craft with stuff 20 levels higher than me than it is for me to craft with gear at rank.)
My top 10 Wanted:
1. Company Housing / Content.
2. Newly polished Battle system.
3. Re-desiged classes, abilities / spell functions.
4. BCNM / Instanced Battles.
5. M A I L B O X.

Top 3 things i dont want:
1. Anyone messing with the current SP system. (it's in perfect working order)
2. Some jackass riding my tail while he's being AFK. (let me blink & send that lazy / leechin mofo into nomans land)
3. Anyone to mess around with the Coethas map's layout.
1. Removal of Stat Alocation in lue of a Skill Stat system similar to Blue Mage in XI. The current system seemed to be based off that system just minus the skill stats and synergies so it was the next logical step.
2. Introduction of new Weapon Classes. Atleast Great Swords, Oriental Weapons, Guns, and Instruments.
3. Introduction of a Weapon Class that uses Third Parties for Combat (Pets.) That can branch to either Summons, Monsters, or Automatons but the generic controls are the same for all three just what kind of abilities each have. Summons being Magical, Monsters using Monster abilities, and Automatons being Micro Versions of the Weapon Class Armory System.
4. Introduction of Jobs on top of Weapon Classes, Not a renaming structure to turn Weapon Classes into Job, but a independent system that is not required for play but instead augments play. No Advanced Classes or Jobs that take over old classes and jobs and make them obsolete. A system that establishes Weapon Classes as being the Weapon, and Job as being the Designed Role but doesn't limit you to only certain combinations and allows for all classes to equip all jobs and vis versa.
5. Introduction of Non-Magic Weapon Class weapons that include higher Magic Potency in exchange for lower Physical Attack allowing more effective Hybrid Class/Job Combinations.
6. A Chocobo Raising and Mount system more like FF7 then 11 but mixing the best parts of both. Being able to Capture Chocobos from the wild to breed etc but also raising a chick from hatching. Remove the Fatigue from XI.
7. Strategic Topography Lockouts, making areas of the game currently unreachable as being reachable only on Chocobo. And content for exploration and gathering that can only be done with a Chocobo.
8. Introduction of Player Housing and Stabling. Mog Houses for the Players and Goblin Stables for the Chocobos. Introduce NPC friendly Goblins that help players capture and train Chocobos.
9. More Client Side rendering of certain items, not everything but most things to reduce the connection lag some areas have.

1. Disciple/Class Uniqueness
2. Gear Restrictions

You mean because we can switch abilities around? To be completely honest, I'm not sure if I like this feature or not (says the one who puts shell and protect on everything). It's a cool thought, but it kinda makes the classes not matter very much. I guess I'm flexible in this area, it's not going to matter to me a lot if they keep it or scrap it. A more traditional blue mage does sound kind of cool though. Going out in the maps and looking for monsters to fight with certain abilities,
