Free to Play would make me quit as well, played enough MMORPGs that took this route and they all went way downhill after the change. I'll pass on the pay to win crap and longer turnaround for new content. No Thanks, there will always be other options if this happens but I sincerely hope it never does..

I'm sorry but since when is Destiny F2P? You have to buy the game ergo pay to buy it...World of Tanks due to its simplistic game engine is a good game but I wouldn't chock that up to another victory for F2P.
I put F2Ps into several categories.
1) F2Ps full of ads with the main goal of mining data and collecting ad revenue
2) Testing a game engine that the company is not sure will be popular in an actual game (sort of a survey if you will)
And of course my favorite (meaning the kind I despise the most)
3) The Bait and Switch F2P which is a crappy game unless you pay $100 which essentially turns it into an overpriced normal game. God, will I never download these games and may your god save you if you ever enjoy one of these games... -

WoW isn't going F2P anytime soon because Blizzard doesn't want to give up like 8 million x $14.99 = 119m a month, plus all the money people spend in the cash shop on mounts/pets, race changes, server transfers ect.

You have to pay $20 for each expansion pack which is a semi big update. Activision contracted with Bungie to make the game and 5 expansions. I really dont think they need to worry about competing with Elder Scrolls Online. The game is pretty bad.
If everyone was paying attention Yoshida explained a long time ago why FFXIV likely wont go f2p any time soon. They dont really have to worry about investors like Zenimax and Bethesda do or Bioware, did who expect immediate returns (which btw is absolutely incredibly retarded to expect when it comes to an MMO). -

Tbh, Free-to-Play is just a synonim to Pay-To-Win, it will induce a huge game disbalance as well as bring a Tsunami of Bots and RMT along the tide, I take Lineage 2 as an example, after all, servers, employees do not run/get paid on/with air and unfortunatly money does not grow on trees so far..
Its better to pay like 15$ or € and have a quality game than not having to pay and watching it become trash. -

I HATE free to play!!! I think the majority of the MMO playing community is 18+ and have jobs. Free to play just forces the devs to add a crap load of stupid gimmicks / limitations to the game. FF14 is doing well as a p2p game. Keep it that way.

If this game went free to play, I'd probably quit rather quickly.
Free to play becomes pay-to-win ever so quickly. Even if that doesn't somehow happen, the FTP model brings in the worst of players. And I'm not just talking about skill.
