Should have got the rest of the party to ask the DRG to switch to class stat gear, if they failed to comply (aka adhere to the partys wish) you then have every right to votekick them from the party and wait 2 minutes for a replacement. If the DRG gets kicked from enough parties wearing said gear with not wanting to switch they may start to learn that it is not such a good idea overall XD

If I SB in dungeons as MNK I only SB accs which are lvl 48/49 str accesories. Anything else (left side SBiing or crafting/gathering) I do with world mobs or in FATEs in north than in a party.

They could have easily been SBiing in FATEs and finished FATE with 10 seconds on the DF joiner. clicked join with the intention of switching in the dungeon. Asksaid person to switch to gear suitable for their job, if they do, alls good. If they refuse knowing it would cause issues for the run. well, vote kick.

I have posted in threads like this and don't think that harsher penalties are needed.

But, I did have the idea that if someone queue's for roulette and then leaves within the first say 5 minutes, it should forfeit their roulette prize for that day until the next reset. No more time is needed but this would be a good compromise for the people that want more of a penalty and be reasonable.

Just my thoughts.

They need new bribes more and likely.

Well, you know you could always level up a tank and healz and get the same perks they do. Leveled a tank and healz for the favorable queue times, I never leave a roulette unless there just countless wipes. How about helping out the tanks and healz by becoming one occasionally and running roulette to help other parties out for a change?

Really, who joins a dungeon wearing SB gear? Seriously. They should know that you join a dungeon wearing your regular gear and then switch to your crafting gear once the tank starts pulling mobs. This isn't rocket science, people!

Kidding aside, after 2 nights of Titan HM in roulette and spending 40 minutes each just to fail, I vowed I would drop and eat the penalty the instant I saw him come up again. I imagine anyone can relate to that. However I broke my vow and decided to give each run at least 1 attempt, and the next 2 times were one-shot clears. I can understand why someone would drop out instantly because of bad past experiences, the past does not dictate the future: they should at least give it a shot.

I inspect people when I first go into a dungeon simply so I know how much I can pull at once. I don't want to overpull and tax my healer. So if in the course of said inspection I notice something amiss, you're saying that I should let someone that thinks it's a good idea to spiritbond mage gear on a melee DPS ride on my coattails? Yeah, no. Not happening. To imply that I have no life or something of the sort simply because I require someone to put some modicum of effort into clearing a dungeon that we both queued for is insulting. To go into a dungeon wearing crafting gear or the wrong stat gear is a waste of three other people's time. It means you can't do the job you queued up for. Sorry, but that's terribly selfish and people need to realize that the rest of the playerbase isn't there to carry you while you spiritbond. If you're cool with having people use and abuse you this way, that's completely up to you but please stop with the thinly-veiled insults for those of us that aren't.

Personally, I would've asked the DRG to put on proper gear; if they refused or didn't answer, vote kick. It's not like you're going to wait long for a replacement DPS, and you can easily progress while you wait.

Because it needs to be done. People want to be instituting harsher penalties on tanks who leave. As a tank I may just be zoning into a dungeon that I happened to get and I really don't want to do. So now I am stuck doing it or get penalized, where is the fun in that for me? I have the right to do a roulette just like everyone else and I should have the right to be able to choose whether or not I want to do x dungeon without a significant penalty. I will take 30 minutes but anything longer than that or other suggestions that have been mentioned in this thread are just absurd.

It may have nothing to do with someone wearing sb gear, or undergeared people. It may be a simple fact as I don't want to be running this one more time. I have run most of these dungeons enough times I could draw a map for you.

EverQuest - Your body remained at the location of your death and you ended up at you last bind point. Then spent a very exiting run naked back to try to retrieve it.
- Your death resulted in and XP loss. Also every time you died in an attempt to get that body back would cost you more xp.
- Sit on a Dock for 20 to 30 minutes to sail to a different zone just to miss the boat.
- Once you got aggro in a zone that mob was yours until you ran to the edge and zones out.
- Stand around for hours at the Tunnel near Freeport spamming items you have for sale because there is not Auction House.

Well the whole point of dungeon Roulette is to have the system select a random dungeon. The whole point of the roulette bonus is to help parties that are lacking in certain jobs. If you don't want to help out parties that need you to clear dungeons and only like to do certain dungeon then don't roulette. But hey, most dungeons only take 20 to 30 minutes to clear anyway so if you would rather spend that in time out, that's your choice.

Then stop doing roulette? The whole point is for you to do a random dungeon and help someone. Do you not realize that DPS wait times can go up to an hour? Your "I don't want to waste 10 more minutes" excuse is dumb compared to the hour you just wasted.

Why should I stop for one dungeon I dislike when I like so many of the other ones. I am still helping other people out just not the people who want to roll Tam Tara or Thousand Maws. Also if you checked you would notice I have leveled dps classes. Sorry that you are unwilling to roll a tank and from the looks of it your dps experience is tremendous with all those heals you have rolled.

Last night I was on my dragoon. Queued up for expert and got in to find out that the tank had dropped. So I dropped then queued up for it again. I have hunts I can go for and other things to do.

How about select 5 dungeon you wanna do the most?
I don't care if tanks drop out before dungeon got loaded, problem is, when it loaded the clock start ticking 90 mins is enough time to complete them without rush but when 45-30 mins left and you still stuck without a tank, that's when the bad part start.

Unfortunately, you failed to mention that one cannot preform parties for low-level, main scenario, and trial roulettes. Therefore, the dungeons you have mentioned, Toto-rak and Cutter's Cry, are not something people can "group up to do Roulettes."
Secondly, just because someone has the right to do something, doesn't mean the person should do it. One has the right to flake out on one's job, but doesn't mean one should do it. There are repercussions for all actions; in the game and in real life. These repercussions are not to limit one's rights rather to limit how much of a jerk one can be.

and this is why I wish the penalty was more severe. Because people like you f*ck the party over. Sure, you can blame SE. But also blame people like you that are selfish.

There are dungeons I don't like too, but instead of dropping and effectively screwing the other three people in the party, I just do what I can to make the run go quickly and smoothly. I'm usually queued for low-level as a healer, and a SCH dps'ing while Eos keeps everyone alive makes a huge difference in the lower level dungeons. Are they boring? Some of them are, yes. Toto-Rak is probably my least favorite and I get dumped into it a lot. The thing is, the other three people in the party are often in the same boat as me so I don't really want to dick them over by leaving. Call it a personal preference, but I just can't bring myself to do that to people.

I had to do a low level run to complete my zodiac book. As soon as the instance started, the tank left. Thanks, now you delayed my Animus quest because you wanted a roulette bonus for a dungeon you wanted.

I have both Tank classes and healers Lved to 50 and now i'm currently finishing up dps classes, all which are 15+-50 right now. Please, take your own advise and create dungeon runs with your FC/LS or suck it up when you get placed in dungeons you don't like. I'd much rather wait longer to do something knowing nobody is going to drop it just because "they don't feel like it."

Please do! and please run the dungeon you like with only your group or PF and leave the DF/DR alone and that will be a great help for the whole sever or whole data center! (since they will pick you from whole data center and group you to run the dungeon, if I remember correctly)

Understand that I don't think there is a way to fix this. The 30 minute ban does not even work. If I don't want to do the dungeon I simply shut down the program, go get a cup of coffee and log back on. The game will not give me the penalty for DC. It only gives the penalty for leaving. Every time I try to think of something I go back to the DC option. How can you punish someone whose computer happens to disconnect.

Try this perhaps

Once a person signs up for the daily Roulette his toon is flagged and will be unable to enter any other instance content until he has completed a random choosen Dungeon successfuly.

If you do queue for random then got the dungeon and leaved the moment it start the clock will ticking in the dungeon without a tank, sometime it would take 45-1hr to get a replacement tank, if we choose to leave we have to wait another 15-60 mins to re-enter if you chose not to queue at least the dungeon won't start and the clock won't ticking. When some tank absent from DF/DR the waiting time might be longer but when it start it can be complete with the team that at least will try what they choose to start, so, I would say IF YOU WANT SPECIFIC DUNGEON THEN QUEUE FOR SPECIFIC DUNGEON, IF YOU DO WANT TO HELP, DON'T LEAVE at least not without try to complete it with your group.


I understand tanks get some disrespected form time to time but, is that the reason you leave right after you got the dungeon? without got any disrespected from the group? It's not good if you cannot tolerated insult but at least you have the point to ditch that group. If you just have been put in a group that insult you immediately after the dungeon start without give you any explanation why then at least you have the reason.

One reason that tanks will be a lot under pressure and get insult easily is once the dungeon start the one that will be leading the group is the tank. So when things got out a hand usually they blame it to the tank even when look into the detail it's not there fault. Humans trends to blame other than themselves anyway.

And not only tanks got insulted healer and DPSes got them to some come from tanks some come from other. No matter how good people play, no matter what job they choose to play if people want to insult they just did.

Any reason not clear? I will try give explanation if asked.

I SB in the easier dungeons (accessories only) if i get them but I will switch to my regular gear if someone has any issues with it.

It's not like Eden Eternal where a person could immediately switch class in the dungeon and pick up the slack. We're locked into the roles, we can't change them even when we want to. I've done a few dungeons where the tank left immediately, and if given the chance to I would have immediately switched to tank right then and there and done it myself. But we don't have this luxury, we have to wait for replacements. I believe that is the main reason for the complaining, we can't just instantly replace a tank who left.
