I can't wait to pull on that old-lady looking swim-suit on my highlander (if this is SE's idea of sexy then it's scary) and dash towards the sea only to wet the tip of my toes slightly.

I'm amazed by how little information there was in this amount of text yet again. I also don't get why they posted the upcoming hut images twice and people reacted to it like it's something new and exciting on both times.

They would be happier with a less-than-good MMO provided it was not a less-than-traditional Final Fantasy.

Lol bunch of complainers I swear.. Most of you that are complaining about these swimsuits will probably not do the event anyway so why complain?

Not to whiteknight or anything, but I thought they were pretty clear that Battle would be reformed first, then Synthesis, then Gathering -- with SP options and leve reform scattered all about. It'll probably be a little while before we hear anything substantial about gathering.

He has already said so himself that levelling is going to be unbalanced up until 1.19 and 1.20 are implemented. Don't know why people get their hopes up everytime he says "we plan to fix this" and gives no timeframe.

But hey, at least you've got swimwear...

Amazing letter, I was laughing out loud with the Roe making that emote and in a swim wear xD. The female attires are looking nice!.

I am going to guess this event will be introduced on 1.18a or 1.18b since we ussualy get a lodestone page update with the lore of the event beforehand.

Its finally over Yoshi (the first big patch), you can rest a bit. Good job Dev Team, can not wait to see all this implemented and to try it out. ^^

Also Giftforce, it's not 4chan lingo. They're pulling some terms from popular memes but that doesn't mean it's exclusive to 4chan. I haven't been to that site in years and even I get most of the references.

Couple of things though are the mob distribution and respawn timers adjustments in 1.18 or are they planned for later on? Also "a well known FF Monster known for heating things up" does this mean the long awaited Ifirit battle is actually a swim suit contest??? That could be ......er intereresting lol.

Still can't wait for the patch and liking the direction FFXIV is taking so far for the most part, keep up the good work.

I've been pretty much at 0-10 for months, I just hate running outside of town its so tiresome for me.

I would happily use chocobos to leave town for dungeons, desired camp, leves, nms, boat ride etc instead of anima though.

I play about 3-4 hours daily on average.

I know the old dev team said they had no intentions of making it possible to not have a weapon equipped, but I hope that this will be possible soon, as a swim suit with a sword or great axe on your back doesn't really say festival time.

Aww but I kinda liked walking around with no weapon on in FFXI just to look a little more like a casual explorer.. Granted I suppose being MNK75 meant my fists were my weapons.

And I do kind of still like the game even though Yoshi tries his damned hardest to make me hate it.

Besides, you should be grateful someone around here actually wants stuff. Everyone else here just wants to be boring and grind more levels. (true!)

Fashion in games never hurt, nor does skin, and there will ALWAYS be young boys who can't think straight cause of it. Doesn't mean the rest of us have to suffer :P

Actually I think it's be nice for that to happen, not only that, but more than a couple (or one in some cases) types of weapon per class. I mean I felt and looked awesome walking around with a staff too (staff skill capped for MNK)

Only if you think faster animations is the same as nerfing.
It's still the same like last year after beta.

Faster animations didn't do anything at all, save save a few seconds. They did let fish be turned into shards (the best thing ever done for a gather class so far) and they raised the amount of sp per gather for a really good amount. However, they haven't re-released the content they erased for an inexplicable reason, they crippled the fishing leves to near uselessness, and now they're getting rid of any fishing grades higher than 5.

I hope that the reform in guildleve sp rewards might help fishing leves at least, but what it will probably do is just make Sweat of Brow useless outside grinding and cut the sp rewards for leves on Botany and Mining.
