[Housing] 1 House Per Service Account. 1 FC Per Service Account.

I doubt anyone denies people will find ways around whatever restrictions are implemented. The point is to make it increasingly more frustrating and difficult for them to accomplish that endeavor. Take the ever infamous duo on Mateus who own an entire ward to themselves after being Grandfathered in. Their whole stance was "well, nobody wanted them until Mateus became the new RP server. So too bad!" They don't have anywhere near the means to keep all those houses through multiple accounts, FCs and etc. Just taking away the Grandfather status immediately opens up 20+ plots on what is now one of the most populated servers. It's not much but is a definite start.

It isn't that people don't want Instanced Housing but that we know the dev team simply won't implement. Whether due to coding constraints, their stubborn refusal to admit the ward system is awful or a combination of both, this has been a problem for years now and every single mention has only led to band-aid fixes and apologies from Yoshida.

tbh I have no interest in buying a house with an alt unless it's on a different data center. I'd rather my current alts all had access to the house I purchased with my main and that something were added that made it easier to transfer things between your own characters made on the same world.

You are being sarcastic, right? Your suggestions are a little unreasonable. I still don’t understand why everyone is hostile at other players and trying to punish them. People should be outraged at SQEX and fight for a better system, not coming up with ways to keep players from being allowed to engage in one of major selling points of the game. It’s pretty sad to see players turning on one another. Players begged for this lottery system, now you have it. There are already restrictions in place to limit players from owning more than one home on a world. One FC one personal, alts on the same realm can’t own even one.

The system simply won't work under the pretense that everyone deserves a house and then heavily restrict the supply. If they are not actively participating in the game then they shouldn't be entitled to the most sought after and limited item.

The housing requirements need to be much higher, even with the new system shell and personal FC are grossly exploiting it. I don't even believe at this point that square enix is afraid to go after players abusing the system, I believe they don't have a way to actually do anything about it.

Well housing is already 1 private house and one fc house per account. SE can't do anything about those that owned more than one house before the changes. Also, ones could have more than one account with homes and FC's. Don't have to be a FC for 90 days before can own a house? Maybe they should just make FC housing instant housing then make all wards private housing.

I don't disagree, but taking those avenues out as well since that has been the workaround for "1 fc 1 personal on one character per world" was instated. I know which couple you're talking about on Mateus, and I know SE's stance was mainly "well we don't want to tick off the players who are correct in saying that the housing wards were empty" because.... it's true, they were! That was when housing was still fairly empty on most servers, so I Get It, but also.... times have changed. The player's diatribe on how the "Balmung Rejects" coming in and complaining and taking all the housing was unnecessary, however. Taking out the grandfathering + looking at multiple houses owned by one person/one FC is where it needs to start. I get SE not wanting to accidentally punish someone who isn't related to a FC who has a bunch of Shells because there will always be that risk... but they need to do something instead of sitting on their hands.

And no, the people who own multiple service accounts? That's all they do. Get their alt accounts high enough to purchase a house, make a shell FC or personal, make the main the tenant if it's a personal, log in every so often to keep the house on the alt from going into auto-demo, and then go ham decorating their 30 houses. One of the big ones is on Gilgamesh, and I'm already inviting invoking the Beetlejuice just saying that tbh. They also had a whole website (I believe it was taken down) on how they weren't wrong for what they do, how housing is the only thing they enjoy about this game, and how they pay other people to make shell FCs to add into their "housing network". I wish I were joking.

My main owns one small house since shirogane opened in 4.1 Our FC has a medium I share with my family. We don’t own any other homes anywhere on any other worlds. So, no I don’t own a bunch of homes. I don’t condone people doing it either. I just feel everyone’s anger is misplaced. If we had instanced housing then you wouldn’t have bots or greedy players buying up homes to sell to players RMT or otherwise. If players could have instanced houses to do sub missions then bots wouldn’t need the FC houses. Although, my FC has a workshop we haven’t done anything with it, but I do understand people like them for the items they bring back. Our FC is about 4 years old I think, could be older than that.

1. I agree with a time limit and probably a roster limit
2. I don't know that I agree with this entirely. A level limit of some sort, sure, but having to finish current expansion seems excessive.
3. Absolutely not, commendations are a bad metric to do anything by, and bots absolutely do queue, I've been in groups with them.

We should absolutely be upset at the players that buy up entire wards. It's a horrible thing that they shouldn't be allowed to do. Some of them are actually cocky about it as well (a certain well known player on Gilgamesh, for example...). Players should not be able to hoard limited resources like housing, and they should not have been able to do it to begin with.

I can tell you right now that requiring people to clear a savage fight on-content to access housing ownership would be one of the most negatively viewed things SE could possibly do to this game.

That idea shafts casual players with no interesting in raiding so unbelievably hard it's difficult to put into words how bad it would be.
