True. None of the Final Fantasy games really give you much of a choice in their story but even if they didn't add the choice option it would be nice to see some voice acting and more cinematics (and the option to skip if you so choose.)

the new Starwars game is nice.... but I dont see them keeping up the full voice thing......we will see though, as far as it being in FFXIV, sure it would be cool, but it is not needed.
I love where the new direction in the game is going but I for one don't think that grinding from 1-50 is very fun but the quest system as is definitely bores me to death. It just seems so bland and I don't want to read a book and listen to silence while in a fantastical world that's should be full of life. Just our separate opinions though.
Let's see if Bioware can actually keep the fully voiced content afloat before we start begging for it shall we?
Also I hate the damn dialogue wheel. You usually have 1 of 3 choices.
1. Be the amazingly naive nice guy
2. Be a snarky jerk
3. Be a bloodthirsty tyrant
Choice 1: Nope.
Choice 2: No.
Choice 3: You die today swine.
But seriously though... like I said in my original post... I don't expect SE to implement anything close to this because SE != Bioware and it looks like they may have their hands full already with 2.0. This is just wishful thinking and a discussion starter.
I think it is too late for the current build. But in 2.0 the main story should be fully voiced(as the current intro, and beginning quest are) along with other important cutscenes like ifrit and those GC speeches etc
If they did add voice to every npc and every minor quest it would take them forever to get it all for every language they currently support.
I believe they said they'll be allowing players to re-experience past cutscenes in 2.0, much like the Goblin Footprints from XI.
