Well hopefully with Demi-Bahamut, SE if finally making a change on their stance. Most of the community agreed that a Hume size Egi would be big enough, though personally I like Titan and Ifrit Egi design. It wasn't SE didn't want us to have new pets, it's they couldn't figure out what the new pets could do that old ones couldn't so we got glamour instead. Fine, but SE needs to start delivery then on new glamours if that is the case, IMO anyway.

Will any primal has that ability given time and thralls. I believe Leviathan almost destroyed Limsa Lominsa once. Anyway for mean my list for Egi Glamour is as follows:

Tank: Leviathan > Thordan > Sephirot
Melee: Shiva > Ravana > Zurvan
Ranged: Ramuh > Bismark > Sophia.

Btw do we know if that bahamut summon skill can be active outside of combat? Like you charge your bar during battle and when it full (and ooc) you still can active it just for the sake being cool?

Because if can, i can already imagine what people will do for fun at the center of idyllshire... or whatever the "central" town later in SB

Odin for example is one of the less I would pair with the ancient three, Alexander or Bahamut - He's one of the less who's special as well if we look at his appearance in the series. Always showcased in a myth, urban environment. I would love to see him as a summon somewhere in the future as well - not to mention that his iconic skill Zan would fit SB pretty well :3

IDK, it did take an entire server to beat Odin in 2.0 lol. I tried to figure out how to shrink him down to Egi size and just can't because he is so icon to the series, though I suppose same could be said of a lot of primals. I guess the best way to add someone like Odin is a spell with high cooldown, where he may or may not kill trash mobs in one strike.

<3 3k ruin & 14k AM finisher without party-buffs seem pretty okay for me - kind of a similar amount that a casual smn has now - the nerf-cries are over the top. We won't end up down, down the bottom line in the end ^^

Regarding Odin if he's sized like Bahamut sitting on Sleip wouldn't be to "chibi" for me... another idea which would be amazing is if Odin would be a single target LB3 beside Tera Flare for Aoe. But that would mean every other cls must get a single/aoe LB as well xD

Not quite, it didn't have much to do with not being strong enough, because if that were the case, drawing power from Bahamut (one of the strongest primals) and using his ahk morn and teraflare should have been impossible. In my mind that takes more effort than a pickachu sized egi. To reinforce this, the ascian in the quest is even in awe that the summoner's mortal body was not destroyed by the trance alone like it was a huge feat. The lore reason was that each summon was consuming the SMNs own aether, and we already had 3. It wasn't that we weren't strong enough for ramuh. That's the very reason they came up with drawing power directly into the summoner to bypass the limitation of having egis hog up our individual aether. It'll be kinda silly if they go back on that. Unless we kill another summoner and our trainer is like ''you have absorbed all his aetherz now you can summon unlimited egis!'' It would be less silly had they not already established the fact that summoners of old used the same techniques to bypass the egi limitation.

I'm curious how the actual SMN quest will turn out. My theory is that the Bahamut summon is actually just a visual representation of the SMN being uber deep into the trance that all the bahamut aether around just manifest itself in his form. I would not be surprised if that were the case.

I just hope for more trances, hopefully an alexander attack next

Well your chara is still a monster strong enough to make Thordan wet himself and not just because of his old age, so.

The first is a yes, sort of, the second is a no. You never summoned more than one Egi at a time so it only consumed so much aether. How many you could summon didn't change that. But you still needed a certain amount of aether to summon and maintain an Egi, and any Primal after the first three would require too much aether relative to how much you had at the time, leaving you dry. The Trance was a means to bypass that restriction by making the most of the summoner's limited aetherpool. But by letting us have a Bahamut summon - which already goes against your reasoning, because we're not supposed to have more of those? Not only is that our 4th, but a big one - we have clearly surpassed that restriction, even if we can still only manage it for a limited time. Maintaining a lesser Primal's Egi should be much easier, even with your proposed theory.

And, as mentioned before, we're getting more Glamours. That's confirmed. And I doubt it's just more colored Carbuncles.

You do realize that's in i290 gear not i275... right?

And I was seeing 2900 damage Ruin 3s IN Dreadwyrm... and the CRITs for ruin 3 were only 3900.

You realize right now the Crits for it in i270 are about 4700... not 3900... right?

So yeah we're looking at a massive Ruin 3 Nerf.

Yeah... Mr Happy doesn't play a Summoner... and directly said so... in case you missed it... he admitted he has no idea of how it plays regularly in his previous works.

Worse... and the reason I said you don't play a Summoner anymore... is that YOU should have KNOWN how much damage we currently do at 60th level and in ilvl 270...

And realized the footage you're looking at is done with a level 70 character and in i290 gear... and the damage is so weak it can't even compare to the current damage level at 60th in i270...

The Deathflare was the only thing that went up... and that's the only thing that DIDN'T get nerfed.

In other words... Summoner just took a MASSIVE DPS hit... and will likely be at the bottom of the pile of the other Caster jobs and not competetive.

If you still played a Summoner you'd have known that the minute you looked at that footage.
