To my mind it is consistent if we do not loose the gauge points out of combat : in this case it is a way to prevent warriors to open the fight with a complete gauge by fulling it before the fight.
If not ... that means they just don't like warriors ! :p

Dunno how you're coming up with this, FC costs a GCD which means every time you use FC you're using it in place of something else, so the weight of FC is a GCD potency - FC potency. Upheavel, however, is a flat gain as it costs no GCDs and you can even immediately gain back it's cost in the next GCD (Maim, SS, BB, SE, and SP). With or without Berserk it takes 2 1/2 Upheavels to push back one FC. It's only fault is that it's just an oGCD damage skill, which is pretty boring, but at least it has a gauge cost to it that makes you have to plan out your GCDs.

While I think WAR's rotation will be relatively static, I think people are having a bit of a dummy target mindset - WAR's rotation, as always, will depend on the fight. You assume that you're constantly able to build gauge and your rotation will line up perfectly, but in all likelyhood something in the fight will throw off your timings. As always with WAR (and most jobs), it's better to build a rotation on a per-fight basis.

Also Onslaught is basically useless in it's current state so hopefully they buff it.

And finally just my thoughts on WAR: I wasn't a fan of 3.0 WAR even though I stuck with it to the end, and now that we're just getting 3.0 WAR but even more FCs and less self healing I'm not really interested. I haven't been able to use IB since 2.0 and that was one of my biggest draws to the class as I liked planning out my IB usage mixed with my CD usage, it felt great to plan out my mitigation based on my GCDs as well as my damage. If content starts hitting hard and we're forced back into Defiance then I might return to WAR, but for now SAM and PLD look more appealing to me. A shame since I like WAR's story so much and it's aesthetic, but ah well I'd rather have fun than wield and axe and be a FC bot.

I'm also really concerned about the status of warrior, most notably the loss of bloodbath and removal of strom's path debuff. Warrior's whole gimmick was not as much damage mitigation, but higher health and healing through damage done, and without bloodbath that takes away a significant portion of the uniqueness to the class. It also doesn't help that VIT is not being considered in tank damage formula anymore, and STR accessories will be role locked. So it kind of makes the fell cleaves teethless now.

don't think i will ever use that charge attack since it only has 100 potency, consumes beast gauge and you can't use it as a pulling move since infuriate is unusuable pre battle
not to mention berserk now is nothing more than poor man's fight or flight, same damage increase, same cooldown but the duration is 10 seconds shorter
and bloodbath is gone too, this new war won't be as bad as 2.0 war, but it will be less fun to play than 3.0 war
i might even change main job permanently if this is the direction they're taking

Or at least thats how it looks here.

I was a Warrior main for almost all of HW. But im not sticking to that in SB. 6 Fealcleaves.. yeah.. but with much smaller numbers... its a less quality and more quantity thing. IF i stay Tank then its gonna be Paladin. Otherwise im going Sam.

Even out of GCD, the beast gauge cost is too expensive due to the delay of the next FC... I remind you that each FC done refreshes faster the CD of infuriate, too. So it may be necessary to cast a max of FC in order to use 3 infuriate during the CD of inner release ...
I think that it is something to check on a dummy at the release, since the "real" potency and cost will be known at this moment. That's why i said this skill's utility has to be discussed

They still have 2 weeks for changing .. Who knows ? Maybe they will re-think it a little meanwhile ...

hopefully, the reaction of the warrior players has been mixed so far even a bit negative SE should change it when there's still time and not let the players wait 3 months in 4.1 to finally get it
