08-14-2016, 03:22 AMDeliciou5Fair point, however alot of people do want to do it but never got a good group and it'snot 1.2% who attempt savage, its just that under 10% who clear it. In the end having cross server friends list and party finder would increase that number significantly. You are using past examples where i am trying to introduce a whole new system where is easier to get parties and add incentive for players to do harder content more. In the end players who get a wide variety of hard content would be much better than only receiving a few fights, my ideas are to expand end game, not to limit it to a select few.Quote:

I will be sacrificing my time effort to help others through this OLD content for people's pure enjoyment(with the incentive getting alot of people to actually join for it)...can you say the same? Its intent that makes me so assured about what i am saying, maybe its the curse of being an old school mmo gamer to the core and are actually willing to spend my time to help others and worry about others rather than myself.
To clarify i would still do these fights even if there is no incentive, but i am not in the majority in that, so thats why we need an incentive such as savage tomestones. I honestly feel like i am repeating myself, people keep trying to s say i am forcing my ideas down their throats, but i honestly don't know how else to get a idea implemented unless people agree/and or i make compelling points. So in the end this particular points sounds silly, please explain how else on the forums i go about getting square enix to implement one of the my ideas. There will always resistance to change....this is no different. -

I would be okay with it if it gave whatever gear level that Palace of the Dead is giving that patch. It would be great as a "catch-up" mechanic and would genuinely allow players to somewhat queue for older content, but it definitely shouldn't be easy to get and it would require level sync. This way, it's not relevant for players who probably played the ever loving piss out of that content when it came out, and it would help close the gear gap between patches. I would have a hard time justifying it past that purpose as having it give some of the best gear in the game or just under the best gear in the game is definitely not the way to go.
I would also like to point out Deliciou5 that shoving your opinion down other people's throats is not going to make you popular when you already have a very loathed suggestion for the game. -

If we add a new tomestome, wether its to incetivise doing what you want people to do or not, people will feel forced to do it especially if it helps raiding. I have enough things to do, and my time is important. There are things in place in the game to let you play it how you are asking. I'm sorry if I spoke bluntly, but a lot of times its needed to drive the point home. While I understand lower pop servers have problems with finding people in Party finder to run these things, Duty finder already exsists with everything you're asking for, and is cross server. But lets face it, just because you want to do it, and maybe a few others voiced their want to have a way to experience old content as fresh content because its not relevant anymore, doesn't mean you should force the people who have been around from the begining of the games launch to cater to the new people. I've done it all already, a lot actually, pony farming, farming coil for glams and drops, and even now, I'm spamming older heavensward content for birds, bismark.. thordan.. A4S for a mount and all things in between. Either way, I don't want to do any more super old content, and I don't want to see any kind of incentive that will force me to do it like a new tomestone, other rewards I'd be okay with.. glams, mounts, minions or what have you..
This is bound to happen no matter what. Every MMO ever has had this happen. Wow has 10 years of backlogged content, and as far as I know, they don't get anything special for clearing that stuff outside of glamours...Quote:

"use df": not too much people (waits of 2hs or more) and if it pops most of the people will be new.....disaster; the idea op suggests is not only for new people to do content as was intended but for those of us who enjoyed it back then to be able to re do it without being a cake and getting rewarded in the process, in other words just as some of you choose to get equiped doing savage (or void arks, or relics or etc) i choose geting equiped by doing every type of raid at the maximun difficulty possible while giving an opportunity to the newcomers to do it as well.
this way lots of people who would like to play the content (new or old) but doesnt feel like it because its unrewarding and time consuming will be able to do it.
