It's possible that it may not be Provoke but that's the only ability I could seem to understand that would cause a boss to peel off a group and go after a completely random player.
Regardless of what the cause was, it needs to be addressed because it really annoyed myself and the rest of my party that it even happened.

Since we agree that it wasn't Provoke... maybe the person that had aggro simply ran away?
It used to happen a lot in Coerthas. Tank dies/teleports, random caster gets targeted, freaks out, runs away and resets the boss. -

It was most likely her randomly targeting someone with Void fire... that person running out of range and her moving to get said person. Way down on that list is, I mean at the very bottom, like around the 10000 spot is Provoke. -

I've seen more than a few troll threads around here that make false claims, and this one looked like just another one of those.
