You accused me of shifting the discussion to WHM then when I told you you started down the path of WHM you made up a “I used WHM as a random example, you were actually the one who steered the discussion that way” as if that makes any sense and doesn’t make it your fault you bought WHM up, if you used NIN instead I would have argued with you using NIN examples. If you are not using holy multiple times in a pull you just have garbage uptime, you aren’t avoiding that with “but glare 4”. It’s 3 GCD’s, even if you use misery in uptime that 7 GCD’s total, you aren’t killing the mobs in 7 GCD’s, you will use holy, that’s all there is to the discussion

You have my seal of approval to bring up this conversation anytime you want to try to discredit me, it’s cute you think you got such a victory here when you just read my comment hyper literally rather than how any normal person would read it as (especially when “healers spam 1 button” is an accepted statement by anyone). People who actually want to convince others argue points not “but I imagined a fault from him in a random forum post 3 months ago” but please continue to do so so everyone will know you don’t actually have any credible arguments

Regardless let’s return to DRK since we established you derailed the thread in the first place. Don’t change living dead. Skills that encourage communication with other members of your party and don’t always work if the party doesn’t communicate are well designed. Self sufficiency of any role is bad in an MMO and should be actively discouraged

I set a macro when I am about to use Superbolide, or I just type in chat, "Imma Superbolide this pack." And I never encounter problems following those.

The only time I die is when I either pop it without letting the healer know, or the healer is in full dps mode.

Exactly, when the healer knows what’s going on they can more effectively utilise your CD’s, if the healer doesn’t actually know what superbolide does so the macro doesn’t help you can either use this a teaching exercise or just let it no and not use it again for the rest of that particular run

It really doesn’t necessitate constantly buffing the tank CD’s so they can ignore the healers

You mean where you took offense to an opinion and think responding the way you did counts as whatever you're now on about? Yeah good luck with that one. Just like it doesn't revolve around these healers that think having a vendetta against dark knights is something their entitled to, to the point of having their malicious behavior defended at the cost of everyone else's fun and enjoyment. Square Enix has control over whether that continues to be a major problem for FFXIV. The ideal fix is Raw Intuition becoming a tank role ability. Anyone who thinks otherwise isn't looking at the whole picture, and not even bothering to put up their own decent suggestions for fixing dark knight and gunbreaker self sustain. Gunbreaker is not suffering as much as dark knight is, but Heart of Corundum is only a 700p excog and aurora might as well not even exist for how much regen it provides. Probably the only tank cooldown in the game that's actually worse than Oblation. Paladin may not be suffering but the way they get their self healing is clunky. If there has to be a cost for Raw Intuition becoming a role ability, let it be the removal of Aurora, Clemency and Oblation. Boom, easy and quick to code. No additional steps needed outside of maybe animation tweaking so that Raw Intuition fits each tank.
