OK it's Saturday so don't usually do this but since YoshiP posted this I'll translate this one since it's semi important to beta test phase 1/2

NAのフォーラムで「βテストフェーズ1では槍、弓、幻しか使えない」というポストがあります。
本来は3都市を巡るメインクエストで、全クラスが交わってからコンテンツ攻略が始まるのですが、
βテストフェーズ1/2がグリダニアで閉じているため、剣術士が使えない状況です。
In the NA forum it is said you can only use those classes from Gridania in Phase 1.
Normally in main quest you run through the 3 cities and then go through contents with all the classes but in beta phase 1 we have only opened Gridania for Phase 1 & 2 so you can't use Gladiator.

しかしレベル25のダンジョンは、3都市訪問後に導線が引かれているダンジョンであるため、
しっかり役割分担が必要なバランスに調整されています（ファインダー対象ですし）。
攻略する上で盾役（TANK）が必要になるため、βテストフェーズ1/2の特例措置として、
剣術士ギルドを介さなくても、剣術士が使用可能になっています。
However for the level 25 dungeon there is one where you go through after going to all 3 cities and is adjusted to where everyone needs to play their role. (Also it works with the finder). In order to take on this dungeon you will need a tank therefore as a special case even though you can't go to the Gladiators guild you will be able to use Gladiator.

特定クエスト完了後にとあるNPCに話しかけるとクラス解放されるようになっています。
詳細はβテストフェーズ1マニュアルに記載していますが、ひとまず誤った情報が広まりそうなので訂正させて頂きます。
After completing some quest you talk to one NPC and you can use the class.
For more details we will note it in the phase 1 manual but I wanted to correct this part before the wrong information spreads.

追ってNA側のフォーラムにも訂正かけます（なにせ土曜で時差アリのため、訂正まで数時間かかりそうです）。
Will have the NA forum make this announcement as well but as today being Saturday and time difference it may take few hours for this information to be out.

Sorry didn't proof read or anything my kid jumping around so doing this quick.

Basically means in Phase 1/2 you will be in Gridania and only can use those jobs + Gladiator (after completing specific quest) since you will need a tank to take on the level 25 dungeon. This was done just for Phase 1/2 to get the tank in game.

This one he's basically replying to someone asking if Gladiator is only tank in game, and he responds saying Marauder is also a tank. Also saying from phase 3 everything should be in place and you will be able to run through the main scenario which involves every class to get into party contents. The above post by YoshiP is just for Phase 1 & 2.

Yoshida: May take a few hours for this information to be out - he meant "until Reinheart wakes up and translates for us"

sounds about right, given how many locations they're hitting and the flight times between each destination (believe its about 12hrs from west coast to Japan alone)

So it seems he will come back on 20th, live letter on 21th and the beta starts on... 24th?

I don't usually like posting in this thread but~

The most recent translation states that his "letter will be up while he is in the US" meaning the written one (the one where we will find out the beta kick off date). We *might* get into beta before the live letter afterall..

i'm a bit confused about this.
Is he gonna release this flood of info before, during, or after tour?
if he release it before, then what's he going to do on the tour? just answering questions? it's not gonna have as big an impact if people already know the new stuff, a few days before he arrives...wherever he's going.
If he release it after, then what's the point of he tour? he's just gonna give generic answers, as we received before? small hints of this and that, but no specifics? it won't have such big impact either.

He is waiting until after the PS4 announcement on the 20th?

If he takes all those drips and make it into a big water balloon... it's still not flood lol (good info but info we already know too) I hope he'll cater both existing players and non-existing. All the old info + enough new info that will make everyone take their clothes off, wear a subligar and do the subligar dance.

8 Alpha Videos, 4ish Trailers, 70+ Screenshots ( Pictures speak louder than words), alot of interviews. Meh ranges from person to person, what a flood feels like. Personally, When beta comes around ( at least for the people that get in Legacy). Those people will be the ones that get the "True Flood".

The way I read it is they are going to release a package, probably on Beta, probably tomorrow since they are in LA and still not a peep. I agree that they have to release something major to make a "World Tour" worthwhile.

BTW I don't get SE's suspense mode. These big build-ups don't seem to help. People expect too much and are always disappointed.

Considering it's still Sunday night here, it's not surprising there hasn't been a "peep". Keep in mind he's doing media stuff, so these will happen on business days as usual for the people that are hosting them.

What I got from the post was information would be released simultaneously, ie..it won't be out in JP first, then we have to wait for it to be translated into English, German, French etc. We would all get the new information at the same time.

Beta wouldn't exactly be "suspenseful" news, since we already know what's coming. What's -IN- ARR is juicier, especially for those that won't have access to Beta right away. I'm betting this tour will cover some juicy tidbits from ARR content :3

There's nothing that we don't already know in the video, this was just something for those outside of the XIV community to see how different ARR was.

ahh I see lke i said i just came across it out of the blue. Seeing as how I don't speak japanese I don't know what exactly their saying except for bits and piece here and there so i can't put together a good concept of wth they're talking about ^_^

Not so much a translation, but an English explanation of the show by Pinurabi.

I think it's much more likely, given the "simultanious release", that we won't see anything until the end, or near the end of the tour. So I wouldn't get your hopes up for at least a few more days (possibly as many as a full week).

Not going to translate the whole thing, pretty sure this one going to get official translation.
Anyways the image is YoshiP checking new data's while he was at Narita Airport inside a lounge connecting through VPN.
Foxclon saying it's not a movie but actually checkign the game itself. They're going to post these type of background stuff for the forum people while they are on the tour :)

RemingtonSteele asked to bring back NPC collision in ARR.

Regarding this one like you said by adding collision detection it will give more live feeling.
However when looking for better playing environment it's better without collision. For will vary player to player but this time we have prioritized to bring more confortable playing environment therefore we decided not to put in the collision.
As for features to stand out the NPC's more we have mentioned previously (previous rep post talking about wandering NPC's, NPC with chat bubbles.) So please look forward to those.

For ARR market, like you suggested, we also have in mind about this feature.
You will be able to view/buy every item no matter if it's from other regions.
When buying items from other region, we are planning to impose a handling fee.

Someone Crucis asked after this rep post to not make it like current one where you have to check each individual cities market via menu to look for one item. But show a list of items with all regions mixed in. Original request to rep was basically same thing imo but making sure reps understand what we're asking for.

No he's not, he just doesn't make statements as often as Triairy.

Triairy is with Yoshi-P and co. at the moment so that's probably why Mocchi is stepping in for the rep responses. He also hosted the 25th Anniversary show that Yoshi-P was at with Soken and the other developers.

Don't be like me and give up half way and later on trying to get back up, it's not as easy. Specially after being married and having kids makes that 100x harder LOL. Feeling like "what the hell am I doing here at job" everyday isn't good.

We arrived San Francisco, but this morning I overslept, this only happens maybe once a year or never. I scared the daylights out of the staff...... Glad we made it on boarding time ^^;
Right now I'm preparing the letter at the hotel, should be able to get this out in next few days.
Also got lots of stuff going on at the same time, checking the Beta manual, checking the announcements, talking with the devs, logging in to Beta and making checks. It doesn't feel like I'm at overseas (laugh)
Tomorrow we'll finally start rehearsal at the stage, once that's over we just head over to the medias with super hard schedule. I'm sure Lady M and Moldbol will keep you guys in the loop on that part!
