Yo Yosh, Can you please disable the ability to teleport?

Simple. You are the 1%. The other 99% want everything handed to them instantly with zero effort or time involved. It's why so many WoW-like FFXIV players hate FFXI. When things take time, they throw hissy fits and no company bows to crybabies quite like SE.

This is something I can get behind. I make liberal use of the chocobo porters, and I've asked on more than one occasion for their little transportation network to get some much needed upgrades. I ought to be able to hop on a porter in Ul'dah and have it take me to Saint Coinach's Find if I want to. Instead I would have to go to Drybone, then Tranquil, then Gridania, then Fallgourd Float, then Dragonhead, then Revenant's Toll, then finally Saint Coinach's Find.

I like having options. I port when I want to; I ride around on a mount when I want to. Taking away an option because some people JUST CAN'T STOP USING TELEPORTSSSS <___> is kinda... weird... like you guys need counseling and rehab. :(

It's funny because I played the heck out of dragons dogma and it's one of my favorit games. Also there is teleporting in that game, you must have missed it even then I didn't use it. The reason being because it was FUN to run across the world killing things, this game it's not so much.

You're not forced to use teleports, so just go run around with a mount.

Actually from my understanding of Hunts, unless I'm in the same area if I wanna have a chance at getting points I do have to use teleprot. Also, the game forces me to teleport when using duty finder. So really, whos forcing who again?

So, run around without teleporting until you find yourself in the right place at the right time. I've killed more than one hunt without having to teleport. But I'm sure you'd know that if you played the game.

You can run to a dungeon entrance and queue up for it from there. If you played the game you'd know that, too.

Why don't we just ask the devs for a Rokien server? A server where only Rokien can log on, and he can walk around all day doing nothing without worrying about his precious immersion being ruined by people who aren't Rokien. I feel like I've made this suggestion before...

And sometimes it's faster to not teleport. If I'm at my FC house in Mist and a hunt spawns in Lower La Noscea near Red Rooster, it's faster for me to just run there than to teleport all the way to Moraby. That's happened to me before, too.

I'd also like to point out that the perception of a "smaller" Eorzea is due to many of the areas that were around in 1.0 being currently inaccessible as well as the removal of seamless transitions between areas. The zones themselves are very comparable to their 1.0 counterparts...we just can't get to all of them, at least not yet.

Teleporting for Hunts is a result of playerbase rushing to get to a mob. You don't have to teleport, but that's not going to stop other players. The same applies in a different way for Duty Finder. You can walk up to the instance with a party of people and simply enter, but if you're looking for people across several worlds, obviously you can't do that.

Honestly, 1.0 was huge and the anima thing was like being forced into a daily or weekly to get points back. For as improved as the scenery is in this smaller Eorzea, I've seen it all while adventuring and playing the game. I don't need to spend twenty-forty minutes every time I need to run in between zones for quests seeing it all for the hundredth time.

Who "hated it"? No one complained about it because it made sense and that's how MMOs worked back then. It was a virtual world not a hub game, so it made sense you had to move to the dungeon. There was a "dungeon finder" and no one used it cause it was crap. That teleport shit came way later in Wrath iirc.

Also, I know that and have done that a ton, though sometimes I'm playing with people and they don't want to wait for me and force me to do so. Also where is the entrance to frontlines, I couldn't find it on the internet. Where is the entrance to guild hests? Pretty sure there is no entrance to guild hests and they are not even part of the world, which is mind bogging.
