That's interesting to know. Though, I guess it's not surprising since the wrong reading was used for such a long time.

If you keep Applying at a job, or even calling back like once a month. That will show that employer more about how interested you are in the job. Keep trying and I'm sure you can make it in. But I'm sure to work with SE you have to show passion for SE. Make sure to let that passion show in your interview man. This goes the same for alpha invites, Keep asking for one, you will get one eventually. hahahahaha,

I find it shameful this selection method two years I've played this game and I have not stopped playing, I point to the alpha long ago and do not understand why I have sent imail, now I'm playing Final Fantasy 11, I paying, and with all that I have not sent anything honestly seems very wrong and I am very upset, I'm sorry for my English Spanish

Just like you there are others who's been loyal and following Final Fantasy XIV since day one, for some alpha of ver 1.0, it's been long way from then until now, we survived this long. I'm sure we can survive few more days, weeks if needed be. Although it saddens our feelings every time we don't get selected, just think of the bright side and just say to yourself maybe they chose others because I already know how great this game is going to be and those others need to know it.
Let's just hope we get a chance, if the alpha test invitation doesn't come just think positive and hope we'll be first to enter Beta or something.

Have to keep on thinking positive :) Being upset and posting your anger on the forums is doing nothing but putting yourself out to some trolls to feed on and try and get you to feel worse by attacking you with words which just going to make you depressed even more. You don't need that.

Well, not when beta launch, but after a few month of beta i think that everyone will get into beta, since we can play with our current character and will carry over on launch is a little unfair if some people can't get it in.

Todos los que jugamos queremos entrar al alpha, de eso no hay duda y si alguien que mando no quiere entrar, no te preocupes, se va a notar que falta gente y apenas falte gente en el servidor van a mandar mas invitaciones. Este miercoles van a mandar mas, asi que tal vez tenes suerte y te mandan, ademas al ser europeo tenes mas chance aun.

Who said anything is being carried over from beta to launch? The only thing I've heard that's being carried over is the way your character looks. They said they'll let you create your character and carry it over but you'll start at level 1.

Yeah... open beta. But there will be closed beta(s) with much exclusion like these alpha phases. Some will get in, some will not. And the topic of perhaps alpha testers having some priority to get in - why, I ask? Why? Why would those who already have had a chance, be given a HIGHER chance than those who have not had a chance at all?

I just hope the closed beta(s) will be short. Not whining. Stressful day, having nothing to do with this lol :(

Reinheart is right!! This is very saddening that SE chooses to ignore its loyal customers who played from Alpha & Beta Ver.1.0 over to release of game to the end of 1.0. It also sucks when a good majority of your friends, girlfriend, boyfriend, dog, or cat are off playing alpha and ignoring you but when they want to talk they just rub it your face. Its hard to stay positive & keep your head up but we all have to stay positive even in hurt like this. I had to block my friends & G/F so I wouldn't get the pie in the face. I hope SE & community teams learn by reading these topics of disguise, hurt, and sadfaces with a bit of humor, in preventing beta tests in becoming another rage/sadden topic.

Yoshi-P said he will keep Alpha open if the demand is high enough. I think i can say, its high, and there still are not people in, who want in. Can they not let everyone in who applied and let us enjoy this game until it starts beta, let us hop to beta, then stay there until ARR launch? :P

I wish I got into the alpha. I been around since the beta of ffxi days. Did the Beta for 14 and have been on ever since too. Sucks that I didn't get in the alpha but I hope I can sometime =). It will be a while before ARR but I am hopeful as to the amount of work being done on the game.
