I'll give Yoshida credit for trying to go an extra mile, but was stupid of him to advertise this if he was only going to communicate to the JP players over the live feed.
Whether I understood or not, I saw some stuff and some things and I'm content. Everyone needs to stop being so negative.

They had a twitter feed posting the Q&A's in English as fast as they could get them out. What more could you expect? It's a live event for Japan. These aren't magical gnomes. This is a Japanese game, with a Japanese dev team.
This entire topic, and all you complainers just make me feel bad for being American. It's like you feel entitled to everything and just complain when it doesn't go the way you expected.
Yoshida mentioned that jobs will be advanced via quests and achievements not via leveling.

Well the problem is that it wasn't said that the live event would be in japanese.
They said they picked a time to do the event that would fit everyone, you would only assume it would
have some english in it.
I'm grateful for the twitter feed, but why promote the live video event to non-japanese people. People wait around for a long time for things like this. If we were told translations would be done via twitter, it would be all good.
It makes me feel bad to be an American when people like you will defend anything they feel like just because "dur I can lul."
They shouldn't have bothered advertising the live event if they had no interest in translating the live event. You can read a twitter feed whenever the hell you want to, you don't have to wake up at 5 AM for it.
the first broadcast was at 5:00 a.m. PDT.... I'm in Canada Montreal so that's 2 AM in the morning! Thanks SE, you could have just said that this live letter was not meant for NA players... well like everything else you guys do.
Am i wrong to assume this but isn't NA a much bigger market then Japan? Maybe we need a bit more attention here?
Next time SE need to set up their own page on the lodestone with real time translation tabs underneath the main video window.

They provided a translation. That's all there's to it. You can whine as much as you want.
To me it seem like SE's priority is Japanese players. in NA we always get left over news and translated stuff from the Japanese forums. Whenever the staff answers a bunch of questions it's 90% from the Japanese forums. I never see anything that was asked on the English side.
So to all of you who keep asking for SE to add stuff to change this and that well try asking elsewhere...
At first I was definitely "WTF" but the translations are posted on Twitter so no big deal. Plus I saw the images. So that is cool.
Yeah, you know, they ARE japanese. I know, how preposterous of them to talk in their own language and then HOW DARE THEY Provide a translation from that!

That hardly my point, my point was it should have all been in the same place instead of spread across 2 websites.

I don't even see the point of the video feed besides a few images which could have easily shown in a normal letter and with much better quality as well.
