Because there's a difference between dying and failing where it only impacts ME and dying and failing where it impacts everyone else. It's the reason I'm still slamming my head into Stage 29 of Masked Carnivale and trying to go deeper in Palace of the Dead, but you'll never catch me doing synced Extreme/Savage, or how stuff like Ultimate/Unreal/Chaotic is completely out of the question.
What I hadn't counted on was that even normal content would get too dicey for me starting with Stormblood, and my dying and failing during 4/8/24-man content ramped up significantly to where I only touch a handful of PVE roulettes at all, and even then I've taken the leaver penalty at times because that's better than being a hindrance in 61+ content.
