I'm 100% certain you're mistaken about how things will happen.

They aren't moving around NMs, just adding items to the droplist of NMs

What i meant by adding new ways of obtaining empyrean weapon items was probably HKCNM's, in the same way as KSNM99 give black belt items, for example in a HKCNM fight there will be a bugard that drops sobek skins and slime that drops fistule discharges etc. adding sobek bukhis etc etc pops to new zones is jus rediculous lol

well whatever happens something has to be done about the sheer number of people camping these timed popset nm's, and after server merge its just going to be plain retarded. can easily see 25-50+ people camping each gukumatz pop.

While your scenario may happen in the future, the Dev Notes on the Abyssea Adjustments specifically state that these 'battlegrounds' will reward +1 seals.

Also, these adjustments are indeed the something that's being done about the time-spawn NMs. The players who only want the +2 items from Sobek, for example, will soon have the option of killing an NM a Visions zone for the same +2 items that Sobek drops. The players who are upgrading Empyrean weapons, however, will still have to compete for Gukumatz, Tunga, Heqet, Amun, and so on.

I like options. Especially since I intensely dislike camping Tunga and Amun...or doing much of anything in Abyssea-Attohwa. Haha

if you're an ls leader and you have 10+ people camping on your behalf sure its easy, but not when you are solo/duo/trio and competeing against that 10 and another 10 and another few small groups and a few soloers yada yada yada you get the picture. in creating the wonderfully accessable world that is abyssea, where not only the douche bag leaders of hnmls's can get the good gear but everyone pretty much can, they somehow managed to start pandering to the old hnmls leaders again, it makes me sad.

I've often camped Gukumatz and not once did I camp specifically for Sobek Skins. I can say the same for every single highly-camped timed-spawn NM in Scars of Abyssea.

I, for one, will be thrilled to have other options for acquiring the +2 items that drop off these highly-contested NMs.

well i am speaking about Lakshmi, where there are a million nin's aftre their kennagi.

if not everyone is after nm's for empy weapon items on your server then you are lucky as it will actually help.

its even got to the point where people steal him, like when i was there camping one time with a couple friends that were helpin me, we got claim but the person already had the ki so we need to release it and change claim, however as soon as the claimant died so someone else could in our party could claim, there was like 8+ people at least standing on top of us and instantly took it.

I am glad for you gettin what you need to help with your +2's but i dont think it will help the regular players here on lakshmi workin on an empy weapon too much, unfortunately.

Wouldn't really call it stealing. I like to think of that KI => Claim system as limiting the amount of pops one group can get.

yeah i get that but its still lame. like i said it needs to be sorted. either make them force pop or add empy weapon items to battlefields. even if its not in theis next update it has to be done.

oh and those same people will call you every name under the sun if the roles were reversed saying its stealing unless its a full wipe.

i really hope for ffxi's sake that endgame ls's full of assholes is confined to lakshmi lol

That is not true at all as has already been pointed out. Do you think people don't want +2 items from Sobek? My ls has camped it many times and none of one has camped it for empyrean weapon. Even Tunga in Attowa, someone who just came back to the game in my linkshell needs Attowa clear and last time we went to try and get tunga there were 30 people there. Its ridiculous. Yes, they were 2 of the old HNMLs too, so we knew we weren't going to claim.
