Greetings from Carbuncle! Let me just say I returned to FFXI after taking a couple month break from the game. I am a veteran player and left and returned with bitter-sweet feelings. I enjoyed my time off but, but missed my friends and the COMMUNITY feeling that SE has provided us with in playing the game WE choose to pay for. If you aren't happy with their decision, BOYCOTT them then. To the people at SE, I hate abyssea, I think it ruined this game, but please take care of yourselves and families and don't rush anything on behalf of some of the idiot americans I'm sorry to have to share this country with. So to all of you selfish, simple-minded fools, I hope SE decides to cut service till June just to give you all time to seek the professional help you need. It is disgusting to see players of a game that relies on teamwork and community to show such childish behavior. It is disappointing to see what I thought seperated us from WoW players seems to be a bunch of BS.

Let me also add, I took some advice from a couple fellow posters on here and contributed my April monthly fee to the American Red Cross for the disaster relief effort. Exe, you a good guy and had a great suggestion with your "opt-in" idea. I encourage other players to show what kind of community we really are and help Japan move past this and continue to prosper and create the games we love to play.

Just imagine how many computers are running in that building. Everyone working there has at least one, and they're on constantly for them to do their jobs. Printers, scanners, copiers, and all other electronics too.

Electronics generate heat. In office buildings with that much tech running, you generally keep AC on almost constantly to keep it all cooled.

Even if it is snowing outside, they'll be a bit on the warm side inside in certain spots.

I'm fairly certain that a company as well established as Square-Enix would have the forsight to purchase a few box fans in order to keep crucial systems cool during brown-outs/black-outs =P

Yes, keep judging the entire NA player base because 10 of them here show no passion for Japan. Also let's forget about every english speaking person here who has shown passion for Japan.
