There's a reson why monsters don't f with chocobo's... supposedly they are very dangerous... why would i want to fight one?

who would pass up the chance to punch a chicken in the face?

well could use rl horses as a good example of that, arnt any wild ones left in the EU but there are still some wild herds in the USA

I think Semi-feral would be a better term for the wild horses/ ponies we have in the UK, since even though they aren't really handled they are generally owned by someone. God I've been watching too much Countryfile.


Back on topic, I would really love to see wild Chocobos.

Lots of possibilities for Quests, BCNM type fights, NM's. New colours for Breeding. In a dream world I would love it if they could look a little different to how our choco breeds look.

I think it would be nice if somewhere down the line we could release that Chocobo that wanted to find wild ones from Brutus's stables, he might beg to go back once he's experienced how tough the real world can be (I'm guessing Ulbuka is a a little rougher than La Theine is).

It would even be nice if we could befriend a few wild chocobo in some way, thinking Quests. Maybe just one flock (With different colours). Example you befriend the Yellow one of the flock and he let you ride him, like a normal rental choco, but instead of gil you give him some Gysahl greens. Next befriend a Green Choco he'll run you through some otherwise impassible bushes which will give you access to something nice in exchange for some Sharug Greens. Then after a while you befriend a Blue chocobo who for a Azouph Green will carry you through an impassable waterfall, again giving you access to something nice. With each new Chocobo you befriend you get access to something better each time.

Of course even if you befriend these ones all other wild Chocobos will have no issues tearing you a new one.

on an odd side note, tho there normal shown as herbivores there structure screams carnivore strong heavy and sharp beak (tho on the flip side it could also be used for cracking thick skinned nuts) massive claws and plenty of leg power(they can carry a large sized galka in full plate armor) to drive them through most anything. There eye placement is also forward arch and not side of the head like most herbivores. Now we know there from la theine, or at least it was part of there habitat there are 2 animals there that could have served as food the first being crabs (hard beak probably be pretty good for cracking open a crab) and worms, tho more realistically there omnivores. ..... and this way to much soda and a 20 hour shift is a bad thing ... you start thinking up crazy stuff like this <.< o well barkwark ^^/

Would be a pretty cool reason to make a use of BST's Charm ability again. Abyssea totally killed that aspect of BST.

I always feel bad for pets with movement speed +. They just flail behind the BST struggling to move at their master's slower pace. Imagine how a pet with movement speed + 100% would feel.

I spotted this wild chocobo on the driveway leading up to my employers house in Healdsburg California about a month ago. It looked aggressive in my opinion, but if you say so...
