well dosnt have to be at launch i dont think wverns or porongo exsited at launch and there are plenty of them in mammol areas >.>/
Sure they could retro-actively add new mobs to old zones, but why specifically SoA zones then?
well the middle lands are out thay game directly says all the wild herds there have long been domesticated, tho Toau areas could possibly have them, tho because of the near constant wars there more than likely one of the army's would have scooped them up for food or Calvary. Adoulin tho, has bearly been holding the line on its small area there easily could be native chocobo(s not sure if the plural is with or without an S) inland or if there were no native ones when the people were forced to retreat there could have been some domesticated ones left behind that went feral.
Dude. I've been wanting this since the beginning. Chocobo's have been shown to be defensive and capable of fighting since as FFT if not earlier, I'm ready to see wild ones.
Side note, Yellow chocobos shouldn't have elemental alignment. Their move should be "Chocobo Kick: Chocobo jumps flaps its wings frantically to jump and hover in the air, delivering a 6 hit attack the deals physical damage to target."
I also think Green Chocobo's unique ability should be a spell instead of a breath attack. Chocobo's are really intelligent, it seems more likely they'd cast spells instead of doing things like breathing noxious gases on people. "Choco Calamity: Casts an area of effect spell that lowers a random stat and inflicts up to 3 random status effects. Effect degrades over time."
Also, this is awesome because it opens the possibility for Fat Chocobo NMs!Olde Fat King Chocobo HNM, <can I have it?>

Chocobos are cute and Brutus taught us about wild chocobos and they are the brothers and sister of our tame chocobos,

There's a reson why monsters don't f with chocobo's... supposedly they are very dangerous... why would i want to fight one?
