New proto-waypoints? Niiiiice.

I like this a lot. Simple little excursion for the night. Just finished the second set, and I like not only being able to warp to some of these zones, but also where they put you. Attohwa warps you to the top of the mountain

I was hoping for a ship/airship to Adoulin too. Every video game is more of a visual experience to me than a spreadsheet one.

That's very interesting. But how do you use them? OP mentioned crystals, but I tried giving crystals to the thing and the nearby NPC and nothing happened.

Did you activate the waypoints and stuff first? After they are active and you get that system message about it, it's just trading crystals to the waypoint itself and it should work.

If not, you're either doing something wrong, or your game is bugged.

I went and did Selbina first, after talking to the NPC and then the waypoint I traded all the crystals on me and it worked fine, then I used my near useless Tidal Talisman to get to Mhaura. only have the beastmen strongholds left and im done with the 3rd part. think the hardest point to get was the top of the Tor, fell off that damn thing twice...

how do you activate them? I checked the waypoint, I checked the guy next to it, i ttraded stuff to them, i danced in front of them, i tried giving them the finger, I tried calling it a piece of #$%^, but verbal and gestural persuasions proved ineffective.

Is there someone i have to talk to or something I have to do before I can start unlocking the waypoints?

Which probably should have been mentioned further up the thread. The crystals are used to "power" the devices, you can store up to 50000 "points" from trading crystals. To actually ATTUNE yourself to the device you need to talk to the NPC standing next to it. Using the device does not attune it ..which I found out the hard way..thankfully Selbina isn't hard to get to.

The quest itself is called "Researchers from the West".
