There are more mobs that benefit from an Aegis then an Ochain. Most PLDs that complain about their block rate (damage taken) don't have a decent PDT set.

You should be more concerned about reasons to ever bring a PLD. Besides holding adds on Tier3 Zilart VW there really isn't any.

I think u aren't a main pld and u don't have the aegis (i don't like the ppl tha talk without the right knowledge), second u don't think a lot, because if u have the aegis u need the shield skill (boxer mantle,shield torque,af3+2 head,creed ear,knightly ear) for increment the block rate, because if u block u have a -75 pdt only by the shield!

I don't think you know exactly what you're talking about either.

First of all, Aegis still has a very good block rate. Secondly, it's the premier shield for -MDT. What's the point of taking the block rate up to Ochain's level? Then Aegis will simply be a better option overall.

Aegis having a lower block rate than Ochain is reasonable because of it's magic damage mitigation. Ochain having a higher block rate is acceptable because it's your true anti-physical shield.

And Aegis STILL has a better block rate than any other shield you would regularly use before it.
