    One of my biggest gripes of bst aside from jug only has been the master can only seem to say engaged to the monster that the monster or the master has last hit. In situations like dynamis this could have bad results, think staggering multiple, where someone else could steal a monster. Could there be a way for the pet and master to have claim on different monsters?

    I think it would make sense if Call Beast functioned similar to Activate and Call Wyvern.

    If you release a jug pet at 100% HP, it should reset the Call Beast timer.

    Not really a fix or anything, but it should at least make it a little easier to switch between jug pets, without spamming jugs.

    That about sums it up..yes. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. I've never seen a bst in any of the more "professional" groups I've done VW with. Saw pup once or twice, but never a bst. Maybe bst could get into a shout group for some of the lower tiers. Any of the harder ones though bst just isn't practical. As you suggested bst is viewed as "dead weight" for a variety of reasons.

    I submit you should also get your jug back. A friend came up with a new ability that would restore your jug pet and your call beast timer, its called "Stuff Pet".

    Could always give bst a DEA type JA with a 1m cooldown that only works with minijugs and summons those stupid frogs they're trying to foist off as mascot pets. Make the minijugs cheap and stack to 99. You wouldn't have a heavy DD but at least you'd have a pet to snarl your hate onto and help you do some melee. Then they could add more minipets and minijugs. Like Tiny Dhamels, Itty Bitty Apkallu, Adorable Adamantoises, and Wee Behemoths.

    Well it is something to worry about if the content specifically is designed to make bst useless and the devs don't want to do anything about it.

    If at the very least you didn't lose your pet with confrontation status you might be able to do a little damage and if your proc comes up you can tell it to leave and call another. When doing multiple pops it wouldn't be very convenient but a heck of a lot better than it is now.

    Like some people in this thread, and others have mentioned Beast needs a JA that allows you to "put away" a pet if it is at 100%. That would come in handy in many events, and would hardly be game breaking.

    Easiest solution is for SE to just shorten the damn recast timer on call beast to 1-2min. Seriously, if they still thinks that's game breaking ("BALANCE ISSUES"), then SE clearly doesn't even play BST in any of their 'recent events'.
