I assume most players have and do EXP in Abyssea, that is where I get all my Dominion Credits and most of my Cruor from. I've gained very minimal in those areas doing any form of "end game" event in Abyssea (running around, killing NM for x amount of time, waiting for procs, etc), it's a simple solution to just spend more time in Abyssea, you're getting EXP/Limit Points while earning money. "I don't want to work a little to get extra money, just make everything cost less so I don't have to spend money," doesn't seem to fly with me, sorry. Considering just how minimal of a charge taxes are, unless you're selling some gaudy, expensive item (in which I would imagine coming up with tax money wouldn't be an issue), I don't see an issue with taxes.

That's nice and all... except that no one is going to invite a max level 55 character who just managed to finish her level 60 limit break in Abyssea. Even as a leech, this is improbable. And anyway, just as there are people who didn't buy the three previous add-ons, some people still do not have Abyssea. Not to mention, simply because you and many others do it one way, doesn't mean everyone does it, or should do it the same.

In fact, this could raise further problems down the line if the economy swells out of control due to massive NPCing. SE has nerfed NPC prices before and they can do it again, not to mention this could lead to the creation of gil-sinks to counter this.

And anyway, the fact still remains that there is absolutely no reasons that some AH have so much taxes. It's ridiculous that WG has the highest taxes, yet is mostly deserted at this point, heck, you're probably making the situation worse as no one in their right minds would sell at WG instead of Jeuno. And if the AH mergers are going to happen... why even sell at Jeuno anymore? Why not simply go back to the starter towns? Sure, it's true, the taxes aren't going to eat away the profits drastically (unless... WG again), but between losing 21 gil and 210 gil to sell the exact same thing... why would anyone sell at Jeuno? The taxing system will be obsolete.
