    Favorite/Least Favorite AF3+2 Set Bonuses?

This really isn't intended to be a super-serious thread. I'm just curious how people feel about their AF3+2 set bonuses, not really in theory, but in their actual gameplay experience.

    Here's my list:

    1) Red Mage: Absolutely outstanding. I used to only use Composure for self buffs, but now I keep it on fulltime. The set bonus is always active (with Composure, naturally) and drastically increases the duration of buffs. It takes some of the monotony out of buff cycles and gives RDMs the time and freedom to cast a wider variety of spells. It doesn't matter what a RDM is doing or how they're approaching a fight - RDM's AF3+2 set bonus is always useful.

    2) Dancer: Pretty decent. Since DNCs commonly have a Samba active, the double damage procs are not uncommon. It's very apparent when the set bonus procs on weaponskills, as well. It's not the best set bonus by any means, but I like it. It's a nice little damage boost.

    3) Black Mage: Meh. This set bonus cannot proc unless Conserve MP procs first. It's a bit of a bummer. But blowing sh*t up is damned fun, and when the set bonus does feel like triggering, it brings a smile to my face. Unless the NM is still alive and both Enmity Douse and Mana Wall are down. I love exciting little 'uh oh...' moments like that though ... while hoping melees can pry the NM off me before I die (PDT/Refresh idle sets on mages save lives, kids!).

    4) Thief: Very meh. This set bonus can only trigger on triple attacks. Even with 19% Triple Attack from gear and merits, the set bonus rarely procs. 2/5, 3/5, 4/5 ... it doesn't seem to matter how many AF3+2 pieces are worn - the proc rare is still too rare. It's neat to see it proc on a Sneak Attack or first hit of a weaponskill, but it happens so infrequently that I don't take THF's AF3+2 set bonus into consideration at all when building and tweaking equipment sets.

THF's set bonus is nice but i agree its proc rate is pretty terrible, even I've gone back to 4/5 + Haste feet -.-. Still though, I like when it procs >_> especially inside abyssea, or during Sneak attack

My Favorite Set bonus? PLD for sure. Dunno why

Proc rates on pup/drg/bst/drk needs to increased. Not up to par with some of the others set bonus.

Set bonus proc rates are proportional to how many pieces you have on, and they're probably the same for everyone. Also, things like Augmented Conserve MP, Augmented Blood Boon, and Augmented Double Attack are actually likely separate processes from normal Conserve MP, Blood Boon, and DA. So the more of the normal version you have, the less likely your set bonus is to proc. Still, it also means that you effectively have more Conserve MP, Blood Boon, and Double Attack than you think AND the damage from them is increased.

pup/drg/bst/drk proc rates are 1% per piece, which means 5% if you wear all 5. Idk the proc rate on the others but with these we have to deal with our own/pet hp in order to get decent porcs.

The proc rate (I believe) is actually 0%/1%/2%/3%/5% for 1~5 pieces. And yeah, it's the same for all the ones that have been tested that double damage.

Idk proc rates for others, if thats what it is then fine. For set procs it won't activate unless you have at least 2 pieces so 0% on first as correct, but for the rest idk. It seems to happen so little with my 3 pieces I fulltime that it could be anywhere from 1-3%. I do like it when it procs on aftermath for 2k tho. In general I was expecting set bonuses to proc a little bit more, 10-20% comes to mind, but thats just me. All in all I love the af3+2's, finally pup gets gear that isn't mage gear.

Summoner proc set is all too rare. I usually see it once per day I play. And you can't control it, so you might get it on a DC abyssea mob by accident.
