So...this isn't a customer support forum. Even if any employees *did* see this they would not action it. You are going to get no assistance here and your topic only exists to fuel people slinging insults back and forth at each other. I suspect you know this, and that result is actually what you're looking for. You need to put in a support ticket. You're going to be told "no, you need to wait 90 days"

I get you made a mistake. Your mistake could have been avoided with the power of reading. Bitching on the forums that you failed to read does nothing for anyone. It is shitty timing. FFXI was my first MMO and I have massive nostalgia for it and I am really looking forward to the patch. Hopefully you figure out a way to make the latency work.

Although I do feel sorry for OP, and I understand that it is infuriating and that is sucks, like others have said - There's nothing any one here can do about it. If anything, you might have a better shot on one of the other boards rather than General Discussion.

Then again, as others have clearly pointed out - and I for one agree with a lot of them - You had to click "Confirm" multiple times and you failed to read the server's name. Yeah, it sucks, yeah it ain't fun, but let's not pretend that this is SE's fault.
Can SE be more lenient in this? Absolutely. But they also have to draw a line somewhere. Want to know what happens when they make exceptions? People will abuse it, and point towards the case where said exception is. "But they got to bypass..." Is exactly what SE wants to avoid and so they uphold their policy.

Again, I feel for you OP but the simple fact is, SE likely won't budge. There is a reason why you have to click to confirm multiple times and get shown a text to read as well.

Even if you thought the server was right, that's honestly on you. You failed to read the warnings properly, and that's really just it - a mistake. Just let it be a lesson for next time, always double/triple read when you confirm things that you know will impact you.

I transferred to another DC just before DT but I recall I had to go through multiple confirmation boxes with the location visible, even had to 'lodestone confirm'.

Sucks that you read through all those confirmations without realizing it's the wrong one.

Yea... my stupid brain read Sargatanas when I saw Sagittarius... literally all it comes down to. Worst part is I was an avid FFXI fan and the next patch next week is extremely XI-centric.

It'll be there still once I can come back but yea; really shot myself in the foot here.

I dunno how much time you've got left to play, but maybe it's still possible to make the best out of a bad situation - Maybe try reaching out to a few people across the ocean, make a few friends! I know it won't help with the latency, but speaking from experience (I have an alt on NA), playing with friends can soften the blow a bit.

If it helps, I'd be more than happy to do a few roulettes with you or some other content that you'd like to do.

After all, it's your choice what to do, but it is possible to turn around a mistake and make the most of it.

You hit the nail on the head, Mawlzy. The tone in which the post was made isn't doing OP any favors, as well. It doesn't look good to beg for special treatment, doubly so when you are the one at fault for the unfavorable situation you are in.

So it's important to remember here OP that these people's lives are small and they get emotional satisfaction by reaffirming talking points like a sad person 'begging' for attention by projecting something that shouldn't be made to make you feel guilty for thinking to ask for help from a GM and not a peanut gallery trying to make you feel bad lol.
