I don't think that the wireless connection is the issue but my controller is capable of being connected via USB, so I will make an attempt to check that during my next play session.

In the mean time, does anybody know of a way to track when devices are added/removed from Windows 10 which causes the Device Manager flicker? I do believe that this is the culprit and that it is triggering a bug in Final Fantasy 14's sound and input detection system. I can actually forcefully replicate the issue by unplugging various USB sound or input related devices while running FF14.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Let us know how the USB cable works.

One thing you may want to have a look at is the batteries. If the batteries are defective, it could be losing voltage and the wireless signal, causing it to be removed/added rapidly.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
