It is not acceptable to charge for a game monthly when the lowest ping on a server is 180 ms...
Square Enix needs to have European servers...in Europe. Its impossible to tank or play properly with constant ms spikes.
I have a 30 ms ping to all other games...we are in 2013 and not 2004... you guys need to evolve...
That said, thank you for giving us this awesome game.

I'm getting 300-600 here in Aus, i wish i had 180 then maybe i'd be able to pass a dungeon occasionally, who am i kidding with the community and how hard they are even with 180 i'd fail..

Well I can play, is just not smooth and I think they should do an effort to allow gameplay to be smooth and a good experience, the servers are already highly populated....
Lets face it people will leave to other MMO that can supply that...unfortunately and we all know which MMO will be as soon a new expansion is out. -

Not subbing before this is adressed.... it is a pity tho, great game. I cant see other players or monster run in a smooth motion, and all this hickups..... dungeons is a nightmare, with the whole game built around dont get hit by X aoe skills.

Oceanians, you have my sympathy. But Europe has almost twenty times the population of Oceania and twice the population of North America. Even if we assumed that Europe had a lower percentage of possible buyers, it's still a curious decision not to have actual european servers.

180ms is really not that much. Its 1/5 of a second for those that dont know. The lag spikes have nothing at all to do with the 180ms.
Now that said, if you want lower than 180ms latency you need to also ask that DF servers be segregated because right now each one is shared between NA and EU. -

Now.. I'm not one to nerd rage on games, I stopped doing it about a year ago, but when I cannot kill Titan at all because, while on my screen I'm clear of animations but according to servers I'm not, and I die, it gets old, and frustrating. I don't live in an area that can connect to servers across the ocean all that well, whenever I've played on American servers in games I've encountered 150+ ping consistently, and while I have no clue how to check my ping on this game (The sending/receiving thing confuses me, if anyone would be able to clarify that for me I'd appreciate it) I can see that I'm lagging, being out of a spell animation and getting hit by it anyway is annoying, and with the elitism going around my server at the moment, I can't really afford to be getting hit by stuff, usually MMOs put EU servers in France.. Not sure what Square were thinking with this one but I don't know how much longer I can put up with this before I decide to just stop playing..

But the ingame lag is abysmal. I see rubberbanding all the time and sometimes all actions (except mine) are frozen for 1-2 secs. This in CM Duty. -

SE does not seem to care about this issue though, so much so, that they wont even reply to these kind of topics, i get those weird lag spikes at times, but most of the time, i have to react so fast almost before an attack happens to avoid it, in another words u fail or wipe first 2-3 times of a new fight till your used to it, i guess thats normal though. but i do miss the times i used to get 30-60ms in games
