Interesting! It totally fucks with the lore/atmosphere of Eorzea, but I can't help feeling some fanboy joy(even if I have my own gripes with ff13 and 13-2).

I hope the ff13-mob battles are fun and not full of overcrowded-FATE-brokenness or anything. And I wish I could have Lightning's outfit on my male character, but I guess I'll have to make do with Snow's...

So, wait, just from a lore stand point, how are they going to explain the fact that there are two Odins in the game?

It reminds me that no version of lightning returns will have Japanese audio and English text this time around since the Asia version removed the option.

Nice concept, though that trailer is nothing like reality is going to be. Those FATEs will be flooded with 200+ people, flashy graphics and you won't see anything at all.

... Just sayin.

Well at the end of the video I noticed all of them have the hairstyle. Perhaps that is technically the head piece? Only thing I can think of :p

Oh wow, Vanilles weapon thats awesome, I hope its available as a drop or something. I have a character named Vanille Oerba and let me tell you, she would love that weapon.

Actually if you played the whole storyline the appearance of Lightning is not to odd and it actually fits in the story.

loving the look of that book, the only problem I think is that well.... it will be pretty useless, after all giving something out with stats of relic or relic +1 would be pretty game breaking, im hoping itl be a costume for weapons

This is weird fanservice, like putting someone's fanfic in the game.
Lots of people will have fun dressing up like Lightning and Snow, so overall I don't mind.

omg, can't wait! and hopefully...we'll have some vanity slots for all that stuff and maybe a mini odin minion?

Looks like it may be a FATE type quest line. Since it starts out in Gridania and ends with a cs. It also looks like she rendered very well into the game. I think I will be looking foward to this because I would look better than Snow in his own clothing.

Final Fantasy 14 has some Time Travel Quests especially inside the Mage Story, so there wouldn't be any problem she coming so far from Future. ^.^ Jus saying

I love that hairstyle on the Lala, it's actually my most favourite of lala hairstyles...

It's a FATE, which means it's going to be utterly disappointing.

The pugilist weapons are massive O.O! I want the gunblade and the bow, the axe is disappointing. I don't think it breaks lore at all with all the time/space crossing in FF, as long they give some kind of explanation, I'll be happy. I know a little lalafell named Snow Villier that is going to be extremely happy.

Nice smart reply, except for the fact that during FATES when there are tooooooo many people you actually can't see anything at all because the server system is trying to load characters/egis/companions as a priority over the actual fate content and party members. Once you get to Coerthas and try to do Behemoth you'll notice it. It happens with the 3 fates that relate to the dragons there and the Odin fate in the black shroud.

Flashy effects have nothing to do with it at all.

.....just sayin.

Unrealted to the thread topic, I suppose, but how do you turn off the flashy graphics? Is that what the whole "character physics" is under graphic settings? Or is it found somewhere else? I've been wondering for awhile now.

Are we going to get FF13 battle music for the FATEs? I'd love it if we had a version of Blinded By Light playing in the background of all this.

Anything to mix up the current battle theme, I had to disable it at the cost of zone music.

No it doesn't - The countless grind fetch quests to levels does more than this - Even Shanttoto showing up make sense if you did her expansion story in XI.
