if that happened, then in a week no one would be running the instance meaning people will be stuck in multi hour long queues to progress the story. its the same thing thats happening with cape westwind.

just ignore them while you watch your scenes, it's their own fault for using the dutyfinder for speedrunning.

The amount of tomes shouldn't be reduced but I do agree that speed runners need to make their own parties.

I don't agree with rushing ppl due to others wanting to speed run it but this idea is just stupid! nerf the single most useful run for phil tomes to barely half or 25% of said tomes!!

are you crazy! theres better ways to go about punishing those rushing new players then the whole community (btw this would hinder the new players more than the speed runners good luck grinding for your full DL gear)

edit: also I know ppl hate hearing this but the cutscene can be viewed in your inn room, trust me after awhile you will probably be joining the speed runners POV especially with CM's terrible cutscene placement LMAO

In case you didnt know you can watch all the cut scenes in your Inn via the Journal.

Just ignore the people who get butt hurt about you watching the cut scenes. If SE nerfed the rewards people who needed the win would eventually have longer and longer queues as less people would be willing to repeat the dungeon.

Just sit and watch them. If I'm doing a story dungeon I will watch all cutscenes the first time. If the rest of the party want to leave and queue up again they can, but it will cost them way more time in the long run.

I do Castrum speed runs these days and if I join a group via DF I can't hold it against anyone watching cutscenes, the group just leaves them to catch up.

In the end I want to remember the story, fighting the garleans and taking down Livia, not some tomes for armor that will probably be outdated and considered junk in several months.

Actually, the CS in the Inn is different from the CS you get in the dungeon, stuff is missing from the Inn's CS (at least I noticed a pretty major difference when watching the Praetorium run in the Inn after a glimpse in the actual dungeon). I'd recommend watching the proper CS's if you want to spot the difference.

I wasn't telling people not to watch the cutsences in the instance. To me it seemed like the OP wanted to watch the cutscenes each time.

This game is heavly based on stories, only to the morons saying to watch it in the inn would think it to be the same, in fact, some CS cannot be reviewed depending on area. so this remains as dumb as his post. in my case i would love to see you do it with a missing healer. like i said. telling people to skip CS just because you want to rush does not make it any less stupid to suggest.

I've carried my team through the fights solo healing several times. The "im the healer so go ahead and wipe" card doesn't work that well...

Even done it without the OT, so go ahead and keep looking for that reason.

Well good for you, what type of cookie would you like, the problem with this retarded logic is, even if you do manage to work your way through it serves no hinderence to the people watching the CSs, so you are in fact doing the work while they sit there and watch the CS as there is no penatly for being left behind. in fact, you could even beat the last boss while they chill out.

Also, this is a terrible idea, Keep is over-populated as it is. Doing this would make it so much worse.

This is a terrible idea. That being said, I'm all for first timers watching cutscenes even if the rest of the group is trying to do a duty finder speedrun. Just watch them anyway, it's not like they can kick you.

I'm of the opinion that if you want to do a speedrun but queue using the duty finder, you have no right to complain if there are people in there who want to watch everything. It's super easy to make a premade in /shout if you want a party full of speedrunners (and you'll clear the dungeon faster too), just go to Mor Dhona and say LFG CM Speedrun and you'll get a party within 10 minutes.

However, what would *really* fix the problem is having SE just spread out the damn tomes over more content. Give level 50s 15-20 tomes for helping lowbies clear their dungeons. Add a 5 tome bonus for clearing level 45+ FATEs at level 50, so maybe we can get people actually running those high level beastmen FATEs that everyone seems to ignore. Buff the tomes given from Wanderer's Palace. Slightly buff the tomes given from hardmode primals. To compensate for all of this, slightly nerf the tomes given from CM and/or AK.

I don't know. Do SOMETHING. Having nearly all of the tomes coming from two dungeons just makes for a really terrible experience at endgame when you need to grind a shitload of this currency and have only two options to do it.

Going to repost my post from another thread. I'd suggest to stop pointing fingers at each other and start pointing it at SE for a change that will cater to both players...

If you want to watch the cutscene, watch the cutscene. If people queue for a main story quest dungeon expecting there to not be people there for *derp* the main story, they're horribly mistaken. If you want guaranteed fast runs, join/make a premade.

While I sometimes queue for dungeons alone in the duty finder hoping for a quick run for some easy tomes, I know to expect people to be new and want to watch the cutscenes. I don't know why others can't do the same.

Are you stupid? CM is not a raid, it is a STORY DUNGEON. The design flaw is that it gives the highest amount of philo. That's it.

Make a tank or a healer, and watch the cut scenes :) and enjoy them.
So that way every DD that rages will suck it up.
So next time they want to do speed runs, the make a static party on their server

That's what i have been doing lately.
Rememeber tanks and healer have the power to do this.

Yeah, I'm not doing anymore level 50 duties until the speedrunning can be prevented on storyline instances. I want to enjoy the last major part of the game, speedrunning ruins that for me.

Lmao thats awesome. But it doesnt change the fact that the OP is an idiot and lowering the philo stones would ruin a lot of the end game experiemce. It takes 30+ mins to get into AK with a FULL party for that dungeon. Is the collective IQ of the contributors to this forum dropping daily?

No one has supported the view of lowering the tome reward in this thread. People have supported his dissatisfaction with speed runners using DF for story dungeons but you seem to be conveniently leaving that part out.
