Male Miqo’te cod piece attachment for my femail Miqo'te?

I'm really bummed that I'm going to have a years worth of progress in a character and then they will release the Male Miqo'te. I don't expect any kind of way to convert your base character model. I just wanted to say I'm bummed.

I mean Iv been Ironchick for too long.... I just want to be Irondude. I guess race does not effect stats in 14 like it did in 11 so I shouldn't be complaining,but I'm tired of getting hit on by other dudes......

Maybe i should butch up my char with manly looking gear to compensate. Long spear anyone? Anyway... is anyone else planning on starting over?

I'm starting all over just because I want to experiance the whole story as "My Character" that I ultimately connect too. I've yet to really connect to any of the characters in XIV that I've made. But as soon as I saw Merlwyb I fell in love. I could get along with that for a long time.

Also, I can see them offering a "Race Change" token to people that can be used once for your character, after that offering a pay to change once every 90 days per character.

Wait...where did they announce male miqo'te? o.O

Did you put some scars on your face? I added a scar, not many girls add the scar. Helps tell the difference a bit. from up close :P.

This might be one of the reasons theres not much in the auto translate dictionary of 14 :P

Why does everyone think they have to restart? they can easy give a 15days free race change once the ps3 is out. then if you want to change your race again they can sell it on square-einx-account for some amount of $ maybe also change names and stuff be there also and switch worlds. that be a limit time before you can switch again.

I think a *one time* race respec might be very likely to come when the new races will (might?) be implemented.

is there a precedent where another game has done that?

A mod post from a while back on adding more character creation options. I'm sure if they'd allow you to go back and mod your appearance after adding more character creation options, they would do the same for race upon adding new races.

Not that I know of...the closest I can think of is WoW resetting talent points whenever they re-engineer talent trees for class balancing.

No other MMO (That I know of) is structured in such a way that you can do absolutely everything on one character. Games like WoW you are restricted to your one character. But recently they did allow you to re-roll the character for its race/faction and keep your equipment and quests completed.

Considering that races in FFXIV have a completely negligible difference stats-wise, I really don't see any reason for SE not to allow us to respec race, as long as it's a *one time* service done only when new races/genders are implemented.

I doubt it will be one time only. Theres always the option for paid changes like WoW does, everything except your class. And multiple times, just having to wait a few weeks if i can remember to change it again.

I'm sorry for not giving the time to find out where it was said. But I'm pretty sure in a post where they were talking about adding new character creation options a mod said they're going to be adding new stuff and Yoshida is looking into the idea of making it so we'll be able to change our characters.

Plus people who played xi typically don't know how to use it. I hate the whole WTB WTS thing. Like how are people of other languages supposed to know? oh yeah people who played other mmos don't typically care about people from other countries because they have never played an mmo exposed to multiple nations at once lol.
