I think they won't share leves with foreigners anyway
ppl who using different language are still hard to do leve together and I don't think the translator would help
I've seen a lot of group doing leve and I tried to ask them for sharing but they alway replied 'no thanks'
This thread isn't bait for trolls, controversial, or in any way debatable so your post is likely to be the last.
(/goodbye)
Honestly, if we had more auto translation going on the language barriers would deminish even more. People might not mis-understand or they could tell you that they don't have the leve's at the time to share. Just because someone says "no, thanks." doesn't always mean that they aren't going to share, it might just mean something else.
In other words Len, I support this idea ^_^
what I've done wrong? I just talking about what I've seen in the game
Sorry to say, but that is very false. There have been multiple instances where a JP player has asked me to help them finish up a leve, and even more post behest "(Guildleve) (Do you need it?) (Help me out!)"s from JP players.
This isn't leve related, but just the other night several members of my LS members were camping Downy Dunstan for the Loyalist Bliaud. There was a Japanese LS camping it against us, but guess what? They asked us if we wanted to team up.
We accepted their offer, they said they only needed one. 4 kills later, one drops and we pass it off to them. Instead of dropping and leaving right then and there, the JP LS stayed with us for several hours and for 3 more Bliaud drops.
Despite the language barrier, we all got along just fine with a mix of Autotranslate and basic English. In the end, there were 4 Bliaud drops, countless Canvas Cowls and a great time shared by everyone.

So, just because the Japanese players disregard you, doesn't apply that to every one of them. Even since NA launch of XI I've never had any major issues with them.
Heya!
I like playing with foreign people (damn straight, I'm Swiss and play with Seraphim =D), including Japanese ones!
If you manage to get into one of their group, you'll understand the fun you'll be taking. It's not something I can tell you, because is something you have to feel.
I'd suggest to join parties in the Party Search system, or simply yell:
(Hello!) (Party) (Can I have it?)
See ya!
Since we can't have separate servers, might as well make the most of a bad situation. So I agree.
In the meantime, i hope this helps:
Necrologos: Levinshower - 急募!魔物大全『閃光放ちし者の巻』の回収
Necrologos: Inferno - 魔物大全『燃え盛りし者の巻』の回収
Necrologos: Lightsome Verdure - 魔物大全『野駆けし者の巻』の回収
Necrologos: Thousandfold Agony - 魔物大全『針千本飲ます者の巻』の回収
Dunesfolsk For Dinner - ペイスト狩り
I play with Japanese people all the time. and many i have played with have figured out to use the (Dunesfolk)/(Felbite Peiste) and (Cockatrice Egg) auto-translations when needed. Even tho I have learned what all look like and don't need them to :) Tho, I wish they had just made the English names DIRECT translations of the Japanese names, instead of foollin around with the 'cleaver' names we have today. Keepin it simple would have made knowing whats what in this language and that a whole lot easier.
Does anyone know where I can find all the titles with their various translations?
Amen .

Go to a guildleve's page and then change the language setting (top right of the screen, dropdown menu)
Also yeah autotranslate needs to be improved still.
{Please levelink it}, {Please do not levelink it}, guildleve names, maybe {The difficulty level should be:}
Having the leve names in auto-translate would definitely be nice.
I don't know of a complete list, but here is a useful thread if you want to play with Japanese players:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...se-help-thread.
If you want to do leve parties together, I'd like to offer these tips:
- Japan generally has a culture of politeness and humbleness. It's good to respect this.
- Cooperation is valued. Conflict is shunned.
- Sharing is expected.
- The team is more important than individuals.
- Your reputation spreads across Linkshells here. There are English speaking players who we will gladly party with any time. And there are people who have made themselves unwelcome in collective memory.
The only people who don't speak English that I WOULDN'T share leves with are the ones like Evangela.
Trufax.
But yes please. I don't understand why they aren't already in the auto-translator.
Thanks for your feedback everyone! We shared this idea with the dev. team and they said they will try to add the guildleve titles to the auto-translate as soon as possible.
Thank you, Rukkirii. :)
I couldn't be gladder to be reading this, once the "mid-June" patch comes in, I expect the game to finally be full-force, enough for me to FINALLY return and above all, I hope the auto-translator is far more robust than it is now. Every term, location, spell, skill, event and monster-type should be in the translator by default, along with the rest of the usual sentence-makers.
I can't even begin to elaborate how amazing the auto-translator for XI was to me, even with all the bad rep it usually received (can't fathom why, they expected to fully speak a language with it maybe?), as young as I was back in release, it blew my mind to be able to trade, party and give and receive help from people from the other side of the world that spoke a language I couldn't even begin to understand, and it still kinda does. Probably one of XI's trump cards for me, compared to the rest of the market.
The fantastical recurring (and intermittently disappearing) PS2 Limitations isn't here anymore, so I hope it gets incredibly huge.
What I really want to ask, Rukkirii, if you manage to read this is: How soon is "as soon as possible"? Of course, I don't mean 'date', what I really want to know is if this has any priority. "As soon as possible", depending on what priority it has, could go far down the list, but still fit the bill of "ASAP, all things considered". I just believe that people don't really feel as... zealous, about the Auto-translator as I do, and it probably is way, way down on the list, but I want to know for sure.
Thank you, this is a great thing to promote international play. I really enjoy playing with Japanese players, I wish I could communicate better with them.
Another thing they could do is just not make all the leves named completely different in the other languages.
Wtf is a Necrologos? what does that translate too in the japanese title? why do they call Necrologos: Levinshower, "Flash of Light" in Japanese
Just creates a language barrier to break down.
one thing i don't get is like a few of my ls mates talk great english, but are canadian so their games are in french. the barrier is like using google translate would not even help them as the wording is not nearly the same. even like dunesfolk for us could be a basic set of words so we could google translate it to other languages. just like reika mentioned if we used google for levinshower they'd have no idea unless they learned it before hand. for example i believe the french game translation for wills is something like tdlr12 which is not a word at all.
in other words like necros: inferno could use the word inferno in every language and would be a little easier to translate.
i would love to see the auto translation for each leve, but any sort of assistance to break language barriers would be helpful. it would even be a big help if there was a post on either lodestone or these forums to show us the translation of every language so we could help when forming parties.
Just wanted to add that I agree having the names of leves have absolutely no resemblence to eachother in other languages is difficult for organizing who links their leves and when to link while Im playing with people of other languages. I am very happy to hear you will be adding this and look forward to more additions like monster family names as well.
(Go away, please!)
