can we please get a login Que

seriously repeatedly copy pasting the same update about servers are locked from new characters and you can't login were supposedly sorry for this yet we aren't doing anything about it. yes i know they need new hardware to totaly fix the problem and that takes time, fine. but there are some easy to implement software solutions that can alleviate the problem not the least of which is a damned login que. also and auto afk kicker whould be nice

If we at least have the queue would be certain to connect, but we dont have this certain, we cannot never know when we will log and we must keep trying again and again and again and again...

Yea put a fu*king queue timer already.. I didn't buy the game not to play it! By now this issued should have been fix.

There is a queue system. When that queue is full it just locks players out till a spot opens up. When a spot opens up it lets another one into the queue. No clue how many people the queue actually holds but talking to some people in-game one was in spot 235 another was in 255 so it holds a lot of ppl.

Could you imagine going to an ice cream store, paying for your ice cream cone, then the management said, "we are sorry, only a few people get to actually eat their ice cream that they paid for, please try again later. Would you consider that to be good business practice? Also, they kick you out of the store and tell you that only a limited amount of people can be in line to receive said ice cream cone, once a slot opens up you can re enter the line, but we won't tell you when that is or if it will ever happen. I doubt a simple ice cream store could survive treating "paying" customers that way, why should it be OK for SE to do the same??

ty for the info i wasn't aware there was even a que, but i have to say there shouldn't be such a low limit on a login que crank that bastard up to like 100,000 open slots hell might take 2 to 3 hours to login but it beats 8 to 9 hours of smacking the login button manualy just to leave in frustration

I need to write my review for the game but can't even play. Ugh.

Hooray for ridiculously bad analogies!

Here's an accurate one for you:

An ice cream shop has it's grand opening. As is to be expected, they run out of certain flavors due to being so incredibly swamped due to the grand opening (servers N/A). That doesn't mean you can't have ice cream... it just means you have to get a different flavor (pick a lower pop server).

OH man duh why didn't you think to just remake your character on a lower population server even though 98% of the servers are doing this bro?

We aren't getting a queue, just suck it up and either not play 1017 Fantasy or wait until next week when they said they were going to add more to the datacenters.

FYI I'm stuck playing the 1017 game too.

Agreed, at least gives us a f'ing login queue so I can stop sitting here clicking start>login>ok(acknowledging the server is full via a generic message). I've given this game a 2nd chance and enjoyed it the TWO times I was actually able to login(once monday, once tuesday), yet tonight I've been sitting here for almost a full hour clicking the login button only to receive a server full message and no queue. 2.0 is turning out to be one of the worst mmo launches I've ever seen and I am about to punch my dog

1. There is a queue
2. They are not simple 'easy to implement fixes'. Doing one thing can affect others, which is why the first fixes caused other errors
3. They are working on it, they've stated they're working on increasing the data centres and will look into if they need an afk timer after they've implemented what they are already working on.

Really, the flop 1.0 was, they had a goal of 400k players for ARR, instead they had millions of people signing up. Thats not something that can be replicated in testing. Wish people would read what the devs communicate to us rather than rush to the forums to cry about things they're blatantly wrong over. I don't know how some people can say they havent got online in days, I've had very few problems, and not once have I got a server full or queue in the last two days, its let me right on.

It's nowhere close to 98%. Less than half of all servers are locking people out. It's your fault for trying to play on high pop servers, "bro".

It's not that difficult a concept: If you play on high pop servers during the first week of an MMO's launch, you have to deal with queues and not being able to log in. If you don't want to deal with that, then play on a lower pop server or wait a week before try to play on a higher pop one. I can understand people not getting this if it's their first MMO, but if it is, then now you know.

That's true. The one thing they can and should do is implement an AFK kick feature. Of course, those are usually easy to get around by turning on auto-run.

"Rushing" to the forums to cry? No, I have been pretty patient until now. And finally I figured I'd respond with a rant and agreement to the queue request. Yes there is a queue, about 1 in 1000 login attempts and both times I've received it, it was low(less than 50 in queue). The queue does not work, period. So instead of "rushing" to your reply button to flame someone with inaccurate bs and assumptions because you happen to be on a lower pop server, have another 2 liter of soda with your box of twinkies.

it's becoming infuriating....being put into this little queue 4 times now only to be kicked all of them. the last one had me connecting and then i got 10102....

1) The queue is uselessly small, and only appears within moments of you actually getting in. The hour until you get into the current queue is just filled with 1017 errors and no indication of how close you are to being able to log in.

2) You haven't experienced many open betas, have you? Evidently neither has SE, because a decent OB with a more traditional signup (i.e. a download and a welcome letter...) would have given them a far better glimpse into the state of their potential player population. In either case...hmm, this has been happening since early access. SE went to great lengths to ensure that we all had to, in effect, RSVP for EA. actualy if you want to play on a NA/EU server they are 100% locked from new characters and 100% cannot be logged into with out getting error 1017 over and over and over. so your only option is to play on a jp server with most likely none of your friends and a bunch of other players who don't speak the same language as you. dosen't that just sound like a great time

So, wait, you say 'give us a login queue' then admit you've been in it and acknowledge it already exists...?

I've been in at 300+ at one point, it works just fine. And I don't consider Hyperion to be a particularly low population server. Try playing at different times of day, or restarting the client. I don't know why but the times I've had 'world is full' message, I've restarted the client and it's put me to the queue rather than constantly pressing enter.

Took 4 hours to login, get to play for one hour....power surge, now spent 2 more hours trying to get back in with no success.

This is beyond ridiculous.

Incorrect. There are still NA servers that you can make characters on and aren't full. Stop making lies up.

And Japanese servers don't mean you have to speak Japanese. It means the server is in Japan. There are many English speakers on Japanese servers, including Japanese people (go figure, people have the capacity to be bi-lingual!)

A bigger queue would be nice. That and maybe a timer of estimated time of wait. But whats worst then getting the stupid pop up saying world is full try later, is getting the loading screen for a couple a seconds build your hopes up before it crushes them with the stupid pop up again. hopefully se does something about this soon. I would like some credit for the days we where not able to play. why pay for something your not using. its ridiculous

Tell me what server I can log on right now and I'll do it. As is I've been trying to get onto my chosen server for eight hours. There only reason I has logged off in the first place because I was going to spend approximately 3 minutes registering my CE since it was just delivered, and it wasn't exactly prime time. Since then, every 15 minutes I've tried for 5 minutes at a time to log in. Which means I've spent a literal 2 hours in front of my TV hitting "x,x,x.....x,x,x...." Love it.....
