I wanted to get FFXIII for PS3 so I bought it from Amazon new. And I luckily got a black label version (not a Greatest Hits). I opened it up and saw this inside, which looks different from the normal Members code that I believe my friend had.

Is this regarding for an Avatar for PS3? Or is this the one used to get the promotion code to get the Asuran Armguards, and if so would I still be able to get them? Would it be something I'd have to take up with support since the old way to redeem it is no longer existent?
I know the Garlond Goggles will still be redeemable so this can't have expired.
The Armguards are pretty cool to have IMO.

I threw in a support ticket on SE Support requesting if I could get the Asuran Armgaurds. I registered the code on my Members account and even provided it in the ticket.
It'd be cool to have those dope gloves. -

Bad news bears. Your characters only start with that item on creation, and any characters created after redeeming the code would have the armguards.
Best of luck with that support ticket, however. Maybe they'll be forgiving. :)
EDIT: Let us know how it goes, because I missed out on the A.A.'s too. If they let you have it, I'd be more than willing to rifle through a few copies of FFXIII to find a code. -

The Hermes Shoes was a reward given to players that had an active FFXIV Service Account and an active FFXI Playonline Service Account both within the same SE Account back in V1.0. The item would only show up on characters created in V1.0 at a time when both accounts were active.
SE made it clear in announcements made for the termination of subscription billing for FFXIV back in September 2012 that all promotions involving having both FFXI and FFXIV active like this would end on September 29, 2012, and it would appear to me that they do not intend to do this kind of promotion again.
Since there was no registration code involved in this particular promotional item, it is my belief that no one will receive a new version of the Hermes Shoes in this way in FFXIV:ARR. If you happen to still have the Hermes Shoes in the inventory of a V1.0 character as of the Save Maintenance on October 31, 2012, they should still be there when you pick up the character in FFXIV:ARR. But that will be the only way you will have them any more from this promotion. -

I ended up just forgetting about them because they would have been just for show anyway in 1.0 but during phase 3 I saw people running around with them and while I was only sent an Onion Helm.
I sent in a ticket to support to understand the situation and that I had both codes I called support right after (because it was quicker to get a response) and the young guy who was "helping me" was rude and informed me that he could only see that I registered both FFXIII and FFXIV but it was up to the developers of FFXIV to give me the armguards with no other information only that FFXIV was doing Beta Testing... :mad:
So I hope that the Dev Team hears our pleas and allows us to register (again) our codes so that we can get our armguards. ;) -

Thanks to this thread I found out I had the Asuran Armguards code in an email from 3 years ago lol
Back when I registered FFXIII, I never noticed the email had the code in it. So I've been playing XIV since beta without them.
I really want them now :<
I hope they let us register them again...
