Instead of censoring criticism of the Live Letter maybe actually build a good game

They even did it on NA Friday night which tells you everything you need to know about their priorities.

Where is the improved encounter design you promised? Why are you nerfing normal raids already before they even went live?

Why is the post-patch MSQ just an uninspired nostalgia bait from FF9? FF14 is really going to repeat 6.1-6.5 lmao.

Why is Cosmic Exploration just reused assets from the Moon?

Not mentioned: whether phantom jobs will be anything more than lost actions 2.0 aka logograms 3.0.

Not mentioned: whether Shades Triangle will be the same pointless FATE bumrushing

Not mentioned: improved encounter design

Not mentioned: whether Cosmic Exploration will just be Ishgardian Restoration 2.0

Not mentioned: new variant/criterion dungeons

Not mentioned: anything new that hasn't already been part of the 12-year long formula

I think that it was pretty clear that:

• Phantom Jobs are instead of Lost Actions and will likely have overlapping features or comparisons that can be drawn.
• Shades' Triangle is mostly using the Bozja format of FATEs and CEs and a CE raid at the end.
• Cosmic Exploration is Ishgard Restoration 2.0. They pretty much presented the same stuff feautre for feature if you analyze it enough.

Obviously they aren't going to word it the way you did.

I think there are plenty of new assets in Cosmic Exploration. In any case they will likely have to make a lot of newer ones for the other patches due to them being other planets.

It's funny how when a lot of the content in a patch is finally directed towards the casual audience that the raid community wants to cry about it.

Isn't it make sense to set up a main base before we set out to explore the unknown? and in case you miss it there's a text at the top of the stream saying they will be talking about it more in live letter part 2.

Part one live letters, historically, only reveal the "new" things coming in the patch.
They do not announce quality of life features, they do not detail gameplay changes, part one live letters exist solely to reveal the patch.

I know you know this, you've been playing this game for literal years.

They said the new trial had mechanics that were too hard in the normal version so they removed some. That was the trial, not the raid series. They didn't say anything about removing mechanics from the raid series.

And this isn't nerfing something before it went live. It's them testing their content and adjusting it to the difficulty they were going for.

Which to me is a good thing (sometimes we will have to see), I think normal raids should be slightly more difficult then the first tier but at the end of the day we want Normal raids and dungeons engaging & fun, more then outright difficult where it's going to be hard for most people to clear. I do worry a little bit that they may have gone too far, but we can't really judge it until we see it.

I don't want to praise DT for much right now, because theirs not a lot right now, but I feel as if the normal/dungeon content have at least had good and engaging boss fights.

Yes and I honestly don't care at this point. Those empty liveletters are a whole lot of hot air beyond a few pieces of info like the Phantom jobs or "we try to take the good parts of both eureka and bozja". If they have nothing concrete to give us because it has to be in part 2, then they could instead tackle all the community issues and actually talk to us about their plans, their vision, what they aim to improve or address, instead of flooding us with commercial screenshots.

It's just a complete misnomer to claim something is nerfed before it's even out. I'm sure they have added/removed/adjusted tons of mechanics in a variety of content while designing. They just happened to mention this singular time that they knew the mechanics were going to be more difficult than they were going for. The OP apparently thinks your first design must be the absolute final version and you can't update or refine anything as you go through the process apparently.

If you can do simple arithmetic in your head then you'll realize that means it's weekend in Japan. No one works during these hours. The forums are notorious for going unmoderated over the weekend. If that's what they meant they would have said it. Instead of talking about Japan's weekend, they talked about America's Friday night so I doubt that was their actual intent (though now they'll probably co-opt your theory as a convenient way to complain).

I don't think I've seen any comments at all where raiders have been 'crying' about content being delegated to others.

Most of them won't because they actually benefit from much of the casual content anyway.

The developers want "casuals" and "hardcore" to fight against each other to distract from the fact that they are barely investing anything into the game :)

Ishgardian restoration 2.0 would be good though. It was the best thing the game ever had.

WoW is looking like a leader again for the industry, coming up with new ideas and content people are asking for. Listening to player feedback and learning from it to make the game better.
XIV looks like a game that couldn't give any less of a damn what the players had to say. You players are going to take your housing wards and like it. How DARE you not like Wuk Lamat. Just for that, we're going to cram her down your throat until you love her.

XIV needs new leadership. The current leadership for this game ran out of ideas years ago and has just been trying to do the same old thing over and over and over.
It worked for a few expansions, but people are increasingly bored with the lack of ideas, lack of innovation, lack of anything of note at all.

I'm sorry, but the current leadership for this game isn't the one that's going to save this game. Not when they are the one who got it into this disaster to start with.

No it's not. The post was breaking the rules in a way most people here did not even see. People saying this have no idea what even happened at the end of that thread. They usually don't even moderate unless it's reported so obviously it was reported.

It’s increasingly annoying how there is no attempt to communicate anything and everything is just declarative and one sided if ever communicated. Jp mods at least put a reason over deleted posts. Here - they leave no evidence and no way to dispute it, or contact them. Same goes for reporting bugs. They just either sit there for 30+ pages forever (years worth of posts) or circle back to lack of info/work as intended and you can’t update it or ask any questions on what they found missing or lacking. Not to mention that you won’t even know that, unless you saved it as a shortcut and refresh daily to see any progress.
