The "Limited time rewards" from Chaotic raids are too low/unimaginative

So everyone who cleared during bonus time now knows that the limited time rewards are an extra 8 of the Demimateria I thrown randomly at your party, you can get 8 or you could get 0.

Now after most of the community who are engaging with this content has cleared, the bonus Demimateria II from new players clearing has also dried up.

Why do the developers always reward the community so little?
They knew that people complained after the Criterion dungeons that the rewards were bad, and barely even improved the rewards there.

Why can the developers not give extra drop items as a bonus for people to roll on? Or increase the odds of the rare items dropping during bonus times?

It's done that way because SE believes everyone will do the JP way -- queue through the duty finder rather than using PF. That way there's always some sort of guarantee there will be a new player. This is just my guess though, might be wrong.

The problem is there are no rewards they could possibly give you that would be interesting. They really programmed themselves into a corner with the streamlined gear and job design. Other games have near infinte possiblities, they could drop something that gives you +12.73% damage against fire aspected fish during odd numbered hours while facing northeast. But there's nothing like that here, so cosmetics and tier-relevant gear are all you get.

To my knowledge, the JP community doesn't use PF at all. You queue through the duty finder and choose either option to your liking. Since they rely more on chat macros, people basically know what to do/where to go and just keep practicing that.

Based on my personal experience, the drop rate of rare items is increased during bonus hours. On average, there seems to be about one rare drop out of the entire alliance per clear on average, during the bonus hours. The materia I is there in case someone is not lucky enough to win the rare drop roll, which I do appreciate, as I did not win the roll for all the rare drops I see.

I'm curious as to why. Having 24 new people is going to be rough to get a clear. Perhaps the group already has a number of first timers, and are trying to fill out the rest of the group with those who have cleared. Trying to limit who can get the bonus is just going to open a bigger can of worms IMO.

Why not?

Trying to strongarm people into farming in clear parties sounds like it would do nothing but further frustrate people who are already frustrated.

You realize the drop rates for the mounts/cosmetics are significantly increased during the bonus too, right?

They do use PF, but just to learn. When they close to a clear they will queue up in duty finder instead of looking for a "clear" party in PF like NA and EU does. The will continue to use it to farm. At least that I was always told from ppl who are familiar with how JP does content like this and savage.

It sounds so much better... I recall when raid finder was new, we did that with Sophia ex as well, it was fun, no hours of waiting, no arguing, no anything. You clear, or are almost able to, you que, you get your party and try. I miss it...

Oh and it would make it possible to get replacements if someone were to leave or DC...

I would love that right now...Im currently refreshing PF just to find a fresh learning party that using CODCAR for this fight and have yet to find anything...I actually wanted to try learning this fight tonight and sitting in game for hour just refreshing is so boring! Before someone says something...yes I know I could make my own PF but I hate doing that when I don't have markers and I don't like having to type out a description all the time. I much rather join someone PF than make one myself.. I don't want to have that responsibility

What baffles me is the RNG element of the bonus....
Pops at random time, random people get bonus while others don't...it doesn't feel good.

I think if you clear during bonus EVERYONE should get a bonus. Happy hour but not for you or me, but maybe RNGesus will love you and give you bonus.

Wouldn't people who leave after queueing for something in DF also get a penalty? Which discourages this chain reaction of one guy leaves after one wipe, everyone leaves? Is that how it is on JP?

Its not just your preference, its just not an real solution to say "you dont like xyz? MAKE your OWN party!!!" cause that splits the PF even more, saw it on sphene when yesterday there were 3 "blind from start" parties which could easily fuse for one full one but nooo... rather lets wait a 45 min >_>

And thats with 8 ppl. If just 3-4 deceide to make their own party for cloud, its 72-96 players needed, or 18-24 Tanks and Healers... thats pretty insane.

If you see parties that can fuse together, then… just fuse them together? There's nothing stopping someone from sending a tell asking some other party to join yours, or stopping your own party from jumping into another one.

The point of "if you don't like X, then create your own party" is precisely that whatever you're looking for in a party can't be fused with some other existing party.

I dont make my onws anyways.... but as they start out at different times they get semi filled so you actually cant fuse em anymore - also its just silly to go "oh that party wants the same as me but is one prog point behind/10 ilvl too low... nah ill make my own party!"
