Probably gonna be my first and last post ever......

SE and FF14 already have safe guards against people who are constantly "offended" by language. Their is a built in default profanity filter because for those of who CANNOT stand "language". In addition, their is an entire subsection to censor "phrases" who those who are EXTREMELY offended OFTEN. And if that is NOT enough, for those who are offended by EVERYTHING; they can just turn off the general chat altogether and not play with anyone. Yet, SE and FF14 still needs a report system that can ban ANYONE for ANYTHING only based upon one random "offensive" report that CANNOT be defined? Wanna ruin a MMO for EVERYONE? Put in a TOS system that allows any rando report troll to suspend and ban players for NO real reason.:confused:

Was grinding 5x characters on 5x worlds as usual and, not talking to anyone as normal, then get rando suspended on 10/2024 for 10 days then on 11/2024 for 20 days; robbing me permanently of the moogle event + PVP series 6 rewards I was grinding. Most the time do not talk to anyone for anything unless I got questions. Was grinding 5x characters on 10/2024 and 1 week before event ends get randomly suspended for "language"?

What language? No clue....and SE cannot answer that in any way shape or form to protect report trolls. SO, I take EXTREME measures to not talk to ANYONE after the 10/2024 suspension.....3 weeks later and 20 days before PVP series 6 ends, moogle event ends, Halloween event ends + blundervill ends....get suspended for 20 days randomly AGAIN? For "harassment"? HOW? I was grinding 5x characters on PVP series 6 CC casual where you cannot talk and MGP GATES where you do not have time to talk.
Asked SE and FF14 GM's to see if these were revenge report trolls or just trolls in general? NO definitive answer at ALL multiple times and multiple emails and multiple calls now.:mad:

Emailed my original support ticket....ignored....
Emailed new ticket 2x times....ignored.....
Phone called to ask to responded to original + new ticket.....ignored
Use IN-GAME to contact GM's.....told to open a support ticket, already did that...ignored

All in all, next time I get randomly reported; I will get my account permanently suspended for no reason except random report trolls, a heavy vague censorship TOS, and SE/FF14 support system that is a unaccountable joke.

WTF am I suppose to do? :confused:
I have tried NOT using ANY chat at ALL....still get reported and suspended.....
Asked MULTIPLE TIMES NOW SE/FF14 support for help to prevent my permanent ban and approve and clarify the language I cannot and can use....
and have gotten NO help at all; in fact completely ignored.....:mad:

Yeah this game got content problems but, this EXTREME TOS censorship that have let trolls taken over has destroyed this community. Now most the 90% the MMO players are quitting and all that is left is the part-timer raid community and report trolls.

Believable story.

The reports made in the game are checked and investigated by actual real people. They have access to your chat history and everything that you say in the game at any given time.

I find it really hard to believe you didn't do anything wrong, especially if you got a 10-day time out which is very serious.

Edit: Xeno got banned because of something related to his stream which is fair because he is a huge influence in the FF14 community and one of the more popular streamers with a large audience. SE will care about those and also it's a behavior adopted by other companies as well e.
League of Legends penalized and suspended a handful of Pro-players for stuff they did or said while on their stream.

If you live in a GDPR (or similar) applicable country you could try requesting all the data they have on you, that might include concrete reasons for suspensions.
If you have no legal way to force them to disclose things you're unlikely to ever get concrete reasons, as is pretty typical with these affairs.


Possible things that might have been actioned even when not actively using chat include search/adventurer plate comments, PF listings, character names, portraits (no really, though you'd have to put effort into that and would likely know exactly what did it) and gameplay (and that there is a right can of worms).

Sure, "did nothing". GMs are just obsessed with YOU in particular. Who is saying NOTHING, at all, ever.
That's why you needed to begin your post with the chud-typical "if you are offended, just use the word filter". As if that technical possibility absolves you from behaving like a decent human being.

I don't buy it, you have done something that is strictly against the rules, or you would not be getting this kind of treatment and that is end of story... using an exploit, third party stuff and more and they somehow find the evidence for it... then well you asked for it.

Since you mentioned that you were grinding PvP, you may have been reported for spamming things like "Great match" when your team is losing, for example. That is considered toxic and disruptive. They actually patched that for the 7.1 update so you can no longer use that chat command until after the match is over. Sounds like that may have been what happened. Taking it one step further, you likely were the sole reason it was patched xD.

All of that being said, it's still very crappy that they aren't more upfront and transparent with you. Their customer service can be very hit or miss.

Not all issues or reportable offenses come in the form of direct and clear communication/language, e.g., emote or auto translate spamming can still fall under this. Also, the profanity filter does not, nor should it preclude or validate the use of profanities. People shouldn't really need to jump through xyz hoops just because some people feel the need to try and validate or normalize inappropriate behavior. This is how your opening paragraph comes across to me.

It is very very rare you would get banned for no actual reason at all. Most especially in the circumstance where a dispute has resulted in no change in penalty, and when the penalty ultimately results in a 10/20-d suspension

Also, if you need any specific information on the ban you would more than likely need to submit what is referred to as a DSAR request, in more often than not cases they are required to provide the information if it relates to you. My guess is GMs just don't have the remit to disclose that information regardless of how much prying is done.

It is pointless to ask for a list of what language you can and cannot use. Yes, the examples listed in the 'prohibited behavior' are not necessarily the clearest, but if you're specific you then run the issue that people will just try to evade by skirting around it, as opposed to trying to take the 'spirit' of it. They'd be there for days giving people a list of what constitutes prohibited behavior/language. The best you can do is read the appropriate guidelines, and be more concerned with the 'spirit' of the message than the examples themselves.

I casually said the 4-letter F word and someone reported it so I received an instant "final warning" that I'd be banned if I cursed again despite it being my first warning. I also said something very normal and polite about (a majority of) mentors on the forums and got a 10 day ban. mea culpa

Thing is, it's not my game, and it's not my forum, and if I wanna play the game and use the forum then I gotta abide by the rules set forth by the people who do own them or I don't get to play the game or post on the forum any more. Soooo...I do \o/ If you see someone say a bad word in ff14 and wanna ruin their day then you can report it, they'll get their account actioned. It's in the ToS (known as getting 3.3'd for language because of, well, part 3.3 in the ToS regarding objectionable language). It's a foreign concept in the west because we tend to use language that eastern countries consider incredibly rude and inconsiderate (like disagreeing with someone's opinion, trying to be helpful by telling someone what to do, and casually swearing), but if you wanna play the eastern game then you gotta conform to that cultural aspect of the ToS. It's Club Penguin rules because the game is listed for people aged 13+ even tho the only people who still play it are like 100 years old. If you don't then this is what you're going to see because the GM's are copy-paste machines and don't make decisions of their own (it's a checkbox. Did you check a box next to a line in the ToS? Ban):

I got my first forum ban during the benchmark controversy when I said people who can't see a difference need better glasses, ahaha :'D. It must have really gotten under someone's skin.

Objectionable language is so broad that it can apply to an immense number of situations. The deciding factor for 90% of the western playerbase keeping or losing their accounts is determined simply by whether or not they get reported for their manner of speech or not.

Be very very careful and disciplined with your behavior from here on out, OP. You are one false move away from being permabanned now. Your penalty points will decay over time with good behavior, but it'll take many years before you are in the clear from being perma'd.

PVP; some trolls you for play style its against the rules.
SAME PVP: troll then trolls you for play style and uses REPORT; YOU get suspended? WTF

Yeah I know! That why after the 10 day suspensions I STOPPED USING CHAT.....30 days or so later.....20 day suspension! So, I asked for months now trying to figure out WHAT category was the "harassment" communication falls under? NO response. Sent them my ENTIRE player, housing, /em macro messages for approve for over a month now over 5x different emails. "We cannot help yah their" basically was the response.

I am starting to guess it is the death trap that is PVP.
In PVP if a troll harass you about how you play using chat; they in trouble....
ALSO PVP if troll harass you about how you play and uses report; the troll is correct and YOU get suspended?

He was doing probably pvp, and became a toxic waste to the point ppl got annoyed and reported him. However, instead of taking the hint and being a decent human being after the 10 days of time out he resumed and made up for lost time in PVP again. And now he is playing the victim in the forums..

I knew some people who had the exact time-out cycle and what I have seen them say in chat was top-tier unhinged nuclear waste.

Player gets banned for doing dumb shit, proceeds to go "WHUH? WHAT DID I DO? I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING"

When someone is going through a mental health crisis, they oftentimes don't have the ability to see that their behavior has become very erratic. It also becomes extraordinary difficult to express yourself coherently when in crisis mode. I hope the OP is able to find the help he needs before it's too late.

I got a 10 day ban Ford removing someone from NN from spamming, literally just nonsense spam, then I got kicked for “abuse of power” ������. There are some real sad acts in this game, NN is awful though av
